I never used neither of them. But one thing you forgot to mention is the "break in" feed back. Cause a lot of people say Reyes takes a lot of time until it breaks in and be "your glove" ppl report 2-3 months, so out of the box the glove doesn't feel that well.
Awesome video. Thanks bro. I own a pair of reyes myself. I probably like winning more but they are to much money for a pair of gloves which I think won't last that long specially when you use it for bagwork and push ups. Thanks for the review bro
I'd have to say, that the Winning as far as comfort and fit is the better one, I have both the Pro Cleto 8's and Winning Fight 8's but the Cleto's hit harder (That horsehair, lol).
Excelente video. Saludos.
Winning leaving the piping off of the velcro strap so it won't catch and unstrap is actually a better way of doing velcro. It won't come up and scratch your training partners
Bro I have fairtex 10z globes for 6 years and I was doing everything with them and I was training everyday like 2-3 hours and I still wear them today and the only thing that the got is that the got little dirty because the are white colour. I recommend this gloves 101%.
Unfortunately for normal people once you get a pair of winning gloves the most common thing I see is people baby it lol or just use it for sparring and have a separate pair for bag work and mitts.
I have used Reyes exclusively, i have the bag glove and the (more padded) training glove. Both are great quality, the leather smells great and they never stink. The gloves took a while to break in. The first few times putting on the Reyes gloves your hands will be constricted and feel horrible. It took a few weeks but now both the bag glove and training glove feel molded perfectly to my hand. Final thing, Reyes has the best wrist support. Better than any other gloves I have tried. Price point is amazing too, and ease of purchasing. Winning is on my bucket list but its so hard to find them. they are expensive and so many different models of gloves. Never found a good place to order Winning that wont take forever to deliver and responds to customer support.
I bought Reyes gloves without ever trying them on. Didn’t like them for multiple reasons: the wrist is too long, can’t turn it over. The thumb will jam and it hurts. The latex foam is not good for sparring. I use powerlocks now and they are amazing but after 4 months are already starting to feel broken down. I think I’ll save up for winning. Do you ship nationwide?
Rinkside IMF Tehc 18 oz are good for sparring. And cost about 120, however they are not to recommend on pads or bags because the rounded fist in my opinion.
Great video! Question, Title discontinued their "Title Boxing Oversize Safe-T Contact Gloves, Red/Black, 24 oz." Those jumbo gloves were a great shoulder workout, great for protecting your hands on the heavy bag, and perfect for sparring without headgear. Do you know of a similar glove out there?
Ring to Cage makes gloves up to 34 oz that are pretty reliable overall quality. I used them for 3 months straight in my bag work and felt like I gained hand speed.
@@kenwood3988 I have a pair of Ring to Cage. What I don't like about those gloves is that the weight is added onto the wrists of the gloves. Where as the old school Title Oversized gloves had the weight near the knuckles.
I have a pair of 12oz winning velcro for pad work I’m getting some traditional horsehair 8oz fight gloves as well to cycle through I’m excited to see the difference I agree with everything your saying about the winning as well and love using it as a Muay Thai/boxing glove as that less wrist support allows you to sort of bend the wrist for things like clinches and catching kicks I tried on a pair of lime green Reyes training gloves and the hand compartment was too tight for me so I wanna give them another shot
@@rawyououtonly using 16s will make you feel like your reach is a lil bit longer than it actually is i usually use 16s for everything but use small bag gloves when i do solo work on the bags
Have watched several of your glove videos. But would appreciate your specific recommendation of 2 or 3 specific gloves with model # or full name of glove for 2022. I am over 60 yrs old, but a beginner. I just want to do bag work. I need maximum knuckle and wrist protection for Heavy Bag. I am not going to spare, or mitt work. Please recommend 2 or 3 gloves (under $150.00 each) for maximum wrist and knuckle protection for Bag Work only. I am 6'1" and 175lbs with long arms. Prefer no laces, but will take your advice.Thank you very much. Great channel.

I tried winning on without wraps and it was a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT They were super soft, literally no wrist support and one more thing, there is an extra grip bar at the tip of my fingers, and I don’t like it. Maybe it sounds foolish but my Rival RS 100 is much more comfortable and feels better quality with much better wrist support
I do everything with the same glove as well. Which is why I wanted to ask you, do you think I should get extra padding cletos or go with the basic trainers? Push ups ruined my powerlocks, I know they didn't need much help deteriorating. I would never do them In reyes though
The extra padding won't add life to the glove the extra padding is more for protection. So if you don't need extra protection I would stay with the traditional training glove or the high precision glove. If you buy Reyes and you want to do workouts with push-ups I definitely recommend doing your push-ups in an old beat up pair of gloves you don't care about.
Thanks for the response and advice I truly appreciate it. I heard reyes is kinda thin on the knuckle area or it's easy to feel them through the glove. I do a lot of bag work and sparring with the same gloves and was wondering if the extra padding was ideal for that, or would you still recommend the originals? I have orange cletos headgear, so I really do want the orange trainers to match just didn't want to make the wrong choice far as efficiency. Sorry to keep bothering I genuinely appreciate you taking time to address me
As an Amateur Boxer in my opinion the Reyes have to hard padding for sparring sessions in pure Boxing and the wrist cover is too long. I don't like these kind of Gloves. However both Gloves are very good quality gloves, but out there, there are many not so famous Companies which make equal high quality gloves and even more comfortable as Winning or Reyes😉
I feel like Reyes is better overall since your making your knuckles tougher unless you already have had hand problems which you shouldn’t be boxing at all in that case
@@PuzSZN I agree in some cases as a martial artist with a boxing base who tries to strengthen my knuckles as well I still think the Winning's have a use case even on fight night. If your a hard puncher like me who throws stuff like Jolt counters and throws every bit of weight behind a punch the Winning are definitely worth it if you go that far for punching power. If you do that and accidentally land to the Elbow, Forehead, or other hand breaking hard spots your hand won't turn into shattered glass. It also lets you punch as hard as possible without worrying about your knuckles and if you have lace ups even your wrist even if you land at a bad angle. Though these would be terrible for street fighting habits the reyes would be your best bet there. Since gloves like Winnings teach you to throw nuclear bombs cause of the dense padding however if you condition and treat the leather and inside these will probably outlast any gloves you can buy 5 times over at least especially if you don't use them 24/7. Though do Reyes being so narrow if you use complex guard breaking punches like Vertical Jabs these gloves could frustrate your opponent. Especially since there probably gonna be feeling the sting off those if you have a hard straight stiff jab. And a good Cross is all the worse for them.
I have a really durable good pair of gel wraps I put under these since I hate standard wraps and with those plus the Winnings I can hit as hard as I want without ever worrying about my hands great for bag work when training to throw weighted step in punches that sink deep.
@@dr.dylansgame5583 it really just depends on the person I guess but your talking like every pair of reyes has the worst of the worst knuckle protection the training gloves they have are very good for throwing hard shots and don’t hurt my hand at all
@@PuzSZN Oh I meant there fight night gloves. Like official match lace ups and not their Bag Gloves. I know they make the special extra padded model. But those take all the fun out of it since you lose a lot of the pop and momentum since they're double the weight. Lower weight class for reference so I use 8s for size. Besides the best thing about Reyes is they're slim and low profile and lightly padded. As far as bag gloves go in my opinion there are better options in that department for the money. If I was gonna be hitting the bags and going at it as an infighter throwing bombs I would want the best hand protection I can get since I have somewhat frail meta carpals.
own both. Better for punching Cleto, Better shape Cleto, Wrist support Winning, Padding winning, durability winning, Smell Cleto. Both are good will have to go with winning because they offer better protection.
You’re so right about this, spending your money on a Reyes glove is just more cost effective especially if you’re using them all the time

To be fair, Winnings take a good while to break in also.
Can confirm…the ones I had for over 6 months feel so good. It’s like they molded to my hand perfectly
Just got some Cleto Reyes gloves for my birthday. I like the honesty in this video. New sub.
Facts brother, Winnings might better quality, but almost 3 times more costly
It’s only 2 times the cost 200 Reyes and 400 winning
