I don’t wanna be that guy. But sparring gloves should be at least 16oz. Even if the sparring is light. 14oz are usually used for younger athletes and women boxers. Adding to the fact that you should always own 2 pairs of gloves, one for bag and mitt work and another one for sparring only.
I got them in 14 oz. The only think I don’t like its that the padding and the leather its really hard and if you punch somebody even light they gonna feel it
The Cletos have latex inside. They actually bounce if you throw them. The are long because they are for boxing. Best gloves. Have the 14oz, amazing. They POP! when you hit the bag.
cleto reyes gloves is insane. I got a 10oz glove and smacking the heavy bag feels like gun shots. Smacking into the heavy bag feels like all the force goes into the bag and not back into my hands. Some other gloves have too much power absorption that it back fires.
cleto reyes are way heavier than the indicated size. my 14oz gloves weigh 17.9oz, my friends 12oz gloves weigh around 15oz. and the 16oz weigh around 19oz. if you train for handspeed, don't get reyes or get the safetec 10oz.
Honestly if it were a little bit over, I would not trip. 14oz is borderline sparring gloves anyway. So if it were over I wouldn’t trip. Extra weight feels good as an additional layer of resistance, to help build my endurance.
@@SENSEIJASON I weight like 150 so I could even use gloves that actually weight 14 ounces but choose to use 16. It takes a bit away from the speed and power using essentially 18 ounces.

Yes and also some people dont realize there are differnt types of gloves Bag gloves, Training gloves, sparring gloves, and fight gloves.
