    Rahul is the man. Takes the drain plugs out bare handed, then bare hands the oil filter! Seriously, though, very comprehensive, taking the time to get good camera view, even quoting the SAE oil spec. Fine work!

    Made the mistake filling oil level on the stick to the top of the indicator / on the hwy oil splash through the airbox / now only 5 litres was running mineral oil / now a semi syn 10w 50 not as CLUNKY 1st 2nd 🇦🇺

      One inconvenience I see with these bigger bikes is the dry sump and wet clutch combination. Although good for longer life of engine and gearset, it is very demanding on procedure.
      Try staying at 4.6L or a little under and you will be okay.

    Well, I have a kawasaki vulcan 2000cc year 2006 I'm watching your video and when I changed the oil on my motorcycle, I only removed the two screws on the right side, I didn't know that I had to remove the one on the left side that is next to the pedal. My question is what would happen if I already skipped this step? .my motorcycle says 2000cc 125ci they told me that my motorcycle has 7 quarters and I see that yours has 5 quarters?

      The 3rd one which is the 14 mm plug is not mentioned in the manual but if you study/observe the engine block carefully you will notice that this small amount of oil is housed in the gears and clutch packs.
      The manual refers to 3 oil levels, 1 without removing filter, 2 with removing the filter and 3 if the engine is empty. The 7 quarts you are mentioning will be only when you are filling oil for the first time or if you have sucked out the oil completely.
      With these considerations, you will always have some old oil remaining in the engine. You should be good without open the 14mm plug.
      Do make sure you do not overfill, as the oil will come out of the PCV and land up in the air filter cabin

      @@rahulranecool But the red light that turns on why would it be? since the only thing that I do to the motorcycle is to change the oil. Let me clarify one thing for you, the red light turns on only when I go more than 90 miles for a fixed time. Then, I stop and turn off and turn on the bike immediately and this light bulb is no longer on. and when I'm riding about 60 miles this doesn't happen. Do you know what happens?

      @@ferneygarcia9007 it could be one of 2 things:
      1) Incorrect oil level in the engine. You can begin by measuring the oil level (after getting the engine to its operating temperature). Do not rev the engine when it is idling in these conditions. It is a dry sump and needs correct temperature for accurate reading. If there is low oil, then top up, if more then you drain it out.
      2) A bad oil pump, indicating to the computer a low oil level. If point 1 does not solve the problem, you will need to get your bike checked by an experienced Kawasaki technician for this
      Keep us posted!

      @@metalheadgaming6621 yes the bigger bikes have their own maintenance kinks.
      But once you get it, it is just straight procedure.

    • @rahulranecool
      @rahulranecool  2 года назад +1

      Yes the manual does not talk about it. Only a very little comes out of it anyway.
      I would say if the bike is fully straight when stood up, you will not need removing the 3rd plug.
