Oh man quite the story, I like listening to stories from truck drivers. You guys always seem to have the best ones. You were young so probably too young to think a girl getting dropped like that at night was because she meant trouble

Best part(s) of all...landmarks we've all been to over the years...TA in Girard, and....yes...the "Petro 2" in Kingston Springs TN! Think about it, Mike...how many people know what a Petro "2" is (or was??)...those were rarities, for sure. Kingston Springs was the only one I ever found in all my OTR years...actually have a cap I bought there! Thanks for takin' us along for the ride during this "coronacation"! Be safe, brother...

@@TheBostonTrucker Hey Mike...I believe you're right about the "one-and-only" Petro 2. Back then, a "new generation" of limited "fuel stops" started cropping-up...i.e. Love's and Pilot (long before the latter merged with Flying J). I even remember a few Flying J Fuel Stops scattered-around America. There was actually one a couple miles from where I once lived in Southern California...perfect to park my truck whenever I got back to the house for a couple days. Flying J closed it decades ago...became an ordinary Mobil gas station (selling diesel). Take good care...

I knew exactly where this story was headed when he said he saw a girl getting thrown out of a car with baggage getting thrown. Then it went exactly where I thought it was going. I guess the moral is lost souls: Men. you can fall back on truck driving. Women can fall back on stripping prostitution and marrying truck drivers. "trucking costed me a marriage" Nah, it was destined for failure.

Man that is so classic late 80s early 90s trucking. Seems like the roads were littered with crazy chick's with a hard luck story and drivers who were trying to help out. A lot of young drivers got themselves into trouble like that because they just didn't have the life experience to deal with predatory, psycho drug addicted, or mentally ill prostitutes.

Mikey maybe you remember me? I met you in Louisville at the Truck Show. I had just got hired on with Bud Meyer and after orientation they sent me to a yard to pick up an empty trailer. This was at night and was back in front of one clean nice one with a king pin lock on it. I was talking to another driver when you pulled up and ask if I could move the truck. I said sure but some A hole has a king pin Lock on this one You said yeah I'm the A hole.
    How you doin' Man?

Good man. My question for you is, are there a lot of gay truckers and gay men who hang out around truck stops? Thank you, if you’re able to answer.

@@TheBostonTrucker Well, I often hear people say that a lot of gays hang out at truck stops, and I often wonder if that’s true? They give away free sex looking for the big one!?! Even some porno movies start out like that? Just wondering? I know you’re straight but I wonder if you ever had heard anything like that? I live Exit 3 off NJ Turnpike and see some strange things going on there.

I would love to know if there is a trucker out there that has ever picked up my brother. David Pritchard. He use to hitch rides... May still be doing it. You see I don't know if he is dead or alive. Haven't seen or head from him since around 1979. I was 9 back then. My mom moved from were we lived back then and has past away since then as well. If any one knows him.. if he's alive. Tell him his little sister still thinks about him. I watch my mom pass not knowing if her son was alive or dead. I hope someone sees this and has good news.
