- Finally we have an update on what Yo Yo has been up to since her Real People appearance in 1979. I mispoke, Lesa has MS Multiple Sclerosis and her YoYo's gofund me page is gofund.me/a19d...
Thank you for posting this. Ran into Yo Yo a number of years back, when we were both broke down in Gary, Indiana. That was the start of a wonder friendship. Soooo worried about her condition right now. Not only was she a fantastic driver, but she's a classy human being. Eagle Claw on the side.
I need to call her, it's been awhile.
Hey 👋 very nice of you to stay in touch with Old School women Trucker's. Appreciate your efforts highlighting 'Yo Yo' and others who are pivotal women Trucker's blazing a trail so more can follow. C'mon
Thank you 😊
Boston trucker Thanks sooooo much for putting this together. Yo Yo is a true legend!!!!!
It was my pleasure, thank you.
I just watched the news story on this channel and look her up and found THIS! I’m so excited. I’m not a trucker by any means but respect the work and culture. Just awesome.
Thats how a lot of us drove for the first time, Dads and Uncles would be driving do hard they were beat to death so they would take us along get us on the interstate and say hold the wheel till you get to to the exit and wake me up.
Thats how I learned lol. My uncle put me behind the wheel at 11 then went to sleep. Told me to drive strait till he woke up. I was scared as hell at first. After that I was begging to drive and go with him
Had an uncle an owner operator that hauled for Penns best of PA, At 14 I was constantly getting thrown out of school for fighting etc My mom sent me with him to keep my out of trouble and I learned a lot ,How to drive a Rig, how to avoid the DOT 😅 ... Sadly he passed about a month ago 😢 I'm now 46
I love the story about yo yo I hope she is ok my prayers are with her and her family I look at yo yo and how trucking was
Thank you very much.
I started in 79 and knew of Yo Yo. Loved this, thanks, it's all just memories now.
Lots of lost miles!😉

Thank you very much that's really great of you! gofund.me/a19dc7b2
You are the perfect example of what it means to do trucking as a career instead of a job!
Thank you so much! Trucking is a lifestyle, not just a job.

Dear Yo-yo You were an inspiration to me and many others! Thank you! I'm praying for you, this old road is hard but life without Jesus is harder! He does way more than turn the red to green, if ya know what I mean... God is my dispatcher, perfect timing, every time.
Great video Big Mike. Appreciate the tone you spend on these. And EVERYDAY IS A TRUCK SHOW is my reality. Seb Canatta makes that vision possible. Truck has never been top notch like this with the weather just breaking.
What's up Brian? Seb speaks very highly of you! It'll be Spring before we know it! Be safe out there!
That is an awesome bumper sticker between you two!!!
Hahaha

@@TheBostonTrucker hi mike thank you for sending me that! I wanted to let you know I can now load my tri-axle with a loader and now can load with an excavator!
I ran heavy equip before I started driving in 2000 so i missed out on REAL TRUCKING i did get a chance to do loose leaf with smith transport but never got to run 5 k a week barely 3 k SO I GIVE MUCH RESPECT TO ALL THE REAL HARD CORE REAL DEAL DRIVERS
Some how we need to create a trucker hall of fame in this country to honor the men and women who keeps our country moving ..land and rail..
I guess you are unaware of the trucker hall of fame in Iowa.
Definitely good video ... it’s great to have someone like yo yo from that era of trucking to give a interview

Boston trucker, how long have you been trucking, OTR and local. You don't look much older than 40s.
You mentioned a Yo Yo facebook page. What is it called?

Will do i fill do my best to find you there
I don’t have Facebook where else can I see this.
Cool shit!!!! Two of the people that had it bad back then women and black people (black men) in trucking
Go away asshole, you people always find a way to politicize everything.
American trucker magazine was the shit back in the day..
interstate made...... Yes, it was a great "rag".... however, "Back in the day".... Mike Parkhurst's "OVERDRIVE Magazine"... was THEE Truckers magazine, barr none!... especially for O/O's.
Hey question for you man Boston Truck , could this truck (yo-yo)'s be the same truck that Jhon Kely HHA Australia exported and restored? Or is it a coincidence 🤔? Same configuration and color and stripes. IM CURUIOS
It is the same truck!!!
@@TheBostonTrucker wow this truck has more history than expected, I have no idea... I wonder if J. Kelly knows this. Thanks for putting up the story.
@@byronmundo Yes John knows this, he told me personally about it and there's a video of him picking it up.
Did you see my interview with Jon Kelly? It's on my page from last year.
@@TheBostonTrucker Amazing! I have no idea ... so far this has been my favorite Pete 359 but this adds up even more to the mix.. what great story... too bad he had to get rid of it... I'm currently building an exact replica in 1/25 scale but it's on the works still.
Ouch! Hope you are doing ok with that jabby vax . Here we are today December 2022 and all the truth about the covid attack is coming out. Stay healthy wealthy and wise Mike! No disrespect intended because I respect you sir.🇺🇸
Does she still have her 359
No she doesn't, it's actually in Australia owned by Jon Kelly now.
How is Yo Yo doing these days?
She has MS right now but is doing the best she can.
YO BOSTON TRUCKER TALK ABOUT THE MONEY NACK IN THE DAY THATS WAT WE WANNA HEAR
Good idea man I'll have to do that.
After deregulation in 1980, driver pay dropped by 42% by 1984. There's a very indepth article about the destruction of the trucking industry because of deregulation online, if I can find it I will link it.
Did he mean Multiple Scirosis not Muscular Dystrophy ...
Yes I meant Multiple Sclerosis.
Texas did what ! Lol
🤣🤣🤣
Who’s the lucky man 😮
Nothing to worry about the covid-19 vaccine. my wife got it because she works on a nursing home and the only thing that happened was she got a little sick on the second shot. But is expected. I'm gonna get it as soon i can.
Thanks, so far so good.
😂 An expert. Meanwhile, many healthy athletic people are dropping dead after the jab. Eddie you're not a medical professional, so why don't you refrain from telling people "it's all good". Moron
*_Ye know what would be a good business opportunity? Well so many people would love to truck across the country just once in their life. So some people set up air-b&b, how about people paying to get to travel across the country in a big truck. Of course i would only go with someone like this because i spend so much time in Boston & feel i know dude thru your videos._*
Thank you so much!
❤🤝
I tossed that very idea around before I retired off the road (2011), and stupidly sold my last truck that I owned as an O/O (82 KW, ext. hood - V12 Detroit, dbl over 6x4).... and after talking with several major Insurance companies associated with trucking... I quickly put That notion, behind me and never looked back.
Lot lizard stories, please.
This is as close I can get to that ruclips.net/video/ziEwbTAUOgs/видео.html
Yo Yo said that Reporter almost drove her truck into a parked car.. Also teach some one how to stop before you teach them how to start off..
