One of my coaching mantras is "Teach universally; apply individually." I do distinguish techniques based on a level of the participants' exposure to injury risks, which means a better way can be obfuscated within the fundamental movements. Rapid application ultimately requires a suitably adept uke to facilitate emulation of a reality-based response. Turning fifty in a few months, my experience tempers what I'll tolerate putting my own body and other people's through for the sake of learning a martial art.
I awlays know which sessions were recorded at Summer camp because of the cicadas lol, seriously tho, great class touches on some really important stuff
its the bane of our lives! Hopefully as we slowly upgrade our equiptment, we'll be able to mitigate that a bit. talking of which, did you see the new members scheme? if you fancy helping us expand what we do, jump in! price of a coffee a month :)
a lot to unpack here, glad its on video - I do think that you can teach the samre art but to different students in different wauys though depending upon their needs. Not sure you can keep techniques 'secret' nowadays, they'll all ready be on line somewhere surely?

Very well put and completely agree with you. Training should be inclusive

I'm inclined to agree with you, even some of the "supersecret' daito ryu stuff is online nowadays so you may as well freely share stuff surely?
Not all techniques are online and regardless its the setup and application of a technique that makes it useful and effective-
This was a cool class. hope you got it all? :) the ground escape mstuff was really nicely broken down
Almost!
