Me too. I used the S5 since it came out. 3 battery replacements, a burned in screen, zero screen scratches despite no screen protector, I just hate using them, and a randomly shorting 3.5mm jack later here I am. I'll be buying the equipment to do my own s10 battery replacements. I gotta make it until the s15 at least, lol.

Bezels aren't that bad, gives you something to hold. I prefer the S9 design tbh, since the bezel can also house the LED notification light, Infrared camera and better phone speaker. The bottom bezel can house the front facing speaker on the pixel phones aswell.
Upgraded from the s7 edge to the 10. Now that's a massive upgrade. I love my s10. I work mobility at local retail stores and I always encourage s8 and s9 users to wait for the s11 or 12 or even the note 10.
@@matthewlongstaff5392 I've had from S4 to S9, currently holding S7, S8 and S9 Plus in my hands and doing camera comparisons. S8 definitely has a better camera than S7, with more light and color in general, especially in the darker areas of an image, plus more detail. S9 Plus has less detail than S8 in close-up photos, but more detail at longer distance (above half a meter or 2 feet, I would say), and it captures even more color in dark parts of the photo. You would definitely notice an improvement from S7 to S8, not so much from S8 to S9 except in the wider dynamic range (more light and color in dark areas of a photo). I don't understand why people dislike the cutout How often do you look at the top right corner of an average phone and think: man I love this 5mm x 5mm area of pixels! The hole punch on my s10e has never once got in the way or distracted me
I have both. Nick review is very accurate. I would add that the S10 is an improvement in responsiveness too (sometimes on the S9 you have to wait like 1s when using phone features). Also, you could never use that phone (the S9) in "high performance" mode, or the battery drains in a 2h(I am exagerating here), and in the daily usage it is "average mode"
I tend to turn my S10 over to watch full screen RUclips/other videos, which puts the volume control on the top of the phone in landscape, which I like, and the cutout on the bottom right of the viewing. I find that I don't notice it there much at all.
Still using an S9. Only issue is weakened battery. But now I want a One Plus 8 Pro. Hard to spend $800 to upgrade though when my current phone is fine.
Just purchased a s10 about a week ago and I absolutely love it!! Had a s8 since it launched and loved it but felt it was definitely time for an upgrade and couldn't be more happier. 😀
S9 has a touch sensor which is located in same place as home button. If you push on it while display is off. It'll turn your display on and you can unlock it by eye scan
Only thing I'd point out is that the storage you mentioned is only in the phone's most basic model. My s9 has 256GB for those wondering and it's so nice to have especially from a phone that's now 2 generations old
I just bought my s9 yesterday.I notice when I lock and unlock the screen, there is a delay. Same with the fingerprint scanner...sometimes fast and sometimes slow. I wonder if this was due to the android pie update? Anyone else having issues?
Ever since the S3, I've always waited 3 generations to get new phones. Plus, I tried the S10 in person at Best Buy, and that cutout is incredibly distracting. I'm happy with my S9+.
I’ve started thinking about purchasing S9 from the beginning cause it was on sale. However, it was out of stock so quickly everywhere so i needed an alternative option. At the same time, S10 was on sale too but on the higher class. I decided to buy S10 and still don’t feel regret till now. It’s the best, especially with the rear camera.
I like the extra cpu grunt the S10 has, but with the fingerprint sensor now being on the front I would no longer have the fingerprint sensor gesture for the pull down menu which I use pretty much everytime I want to check notifications. That is a huge deal to me.
Just got my S9, upgraded from my S7 which I had since release, and had it not stopped working I would've continued with it and not even considered a new phone.
Finally got purple (prefered) s9 and now I wish I waited but thos s9 is so soft n sensitive to the touch so responsive and it's from 2018 camera killed it
2 point you skipped totally 1st point the S10 has 8 gigs of ram s9 has 4 gigs. 2nd point the S10 has an 855 processor and the s9 has the 845. The 855 is 30% faster than the 845 and the 855 has 20% more power efficient.
I used to have the LG Stylo 2 plus upgraded to s10 I have no complaints the S10 also charges so fast and power saving mode adjusts to you not just disable certain features. Sticking with it for awhile and iPhone 11 still ain't got a fingerprint scanner only face recognition but s10 has both.

Dont need i will tel you if u chose from these both phones s10e is winner in everithing, i traded the s9plus for s10e and it is noticable in everything speed compactness build qualiti the same feel in hand but s10 feels meybe better, plus 1 camera ultra wide on 10 front is a bit better couse it ia 10mp double storage 64 is enought for me but thats plus, ergonomics from regular s9 feels better couse display is the same 5.8inches but bazels are noticable smaller i thing the phone is 5 or 6mm shorter than the s9 and 1.5cm or more from s9plus shorter so its more compact, but day to day use phones messages fb insta yt snapchat speed the same meybe u will feel s10 all models are faster but that is a secound the most but i feel the difference a bit sometimes and not in loading games duing more and more stuff at same time than u can notice the speed not s9 is slow it is crazy fast and faster than other now new phones from other manufactors but this latest cpu and latest ram is better ofc it is newer like compare the s8 to s9 newer chip and all that stuf, only in my opinion i think they could keep the 1440p resolution not to be 3040x1440p like on s10 and plus but 2960x1440 on s9 or how mhch s9 got, not that picture is bad the s10e has same technological display as the s10 regular but they limited the resolution but becouse of new display technology it looks the same as 1440p quality picture couse of technology in new display better collors and other stuf than for example other phones woth fhd displays if u compare the s10e has best 1080p screen and more ppi so only that on my opinion they could hold but price would be bigger and no point on s10e making... generaly is it upgrade if u have s9 now, yes in everithing is better, the same cpu the same ram i got 8gb ram version and i before orderes 8gn version i compares at store s10 and s10e 6gb ram version in speed and opening apps and ibwas lucky there was pubg game on both phones and the same time they opened meybe s10e was a secound faster couse of ressolution it dont nees to show that much picture details with the same gpu that all 3 s10s have same gpu same cpu same new ram memory just s10e got 2gb less but 6gb is now plenty 8gb is new thisbdays and u need to open all programs 5 games to see the difference and non in speed just ram keeps ur apps open with more ram u can keep more apps openes at background so thats it hope helped :)
I upgraded from the s9+ to the S10+. I really don't notice a difference in general usage. the S10+ defeats it's purpose as it almost automatically puts bezzles above and below the screen when not in landscape. Most videos either already have cut outs on both side in landscape. Netflix in fullscreen puts the s9's bezzles on the left hand side. Battery life is important along with more memory as I tend to use my phone as a computer and multitask offer. You cannot go wrong with either phone. Most likely, you won't notice a difference.
Thanks for this review. I'm tryin to figure out which to upgrade to from an s4. Either way I know it'll be a huge improvement; I mainly use my phone for basics and camera so that and battery life are the biggest factors for me.
Honestly, if you have the money to spend, go for the S10, only thing it's missing is the iris scanner, which isn't that big of a deal, it's basically an improved S9, which is already and amazing phone. If you're not into spending all that money, the S9 is an easy choice. The bezels aren't large at all, and it's nice to have something to grab onto in landscape mode, also has LED notification lights, which I'm not sure are on the S10.
Going from an S4, an S6 will be a large improvement, but it doesn't have an SD card slot. S7 has slightly better camera, but the S8 camera is significantly better, while the S9 doesn't look better in many photos. I would recommend the S8.
I bought galaxy s9 just a few weeks before the s10 came out 🤦♂️ but I really think that the s10+ is absolutely amazing and beautiful and now I just have to have it!
Not sure if you mentioned but s10 is quicker, faster with its 8gb memory... Only flaw is prob battery could be better with s10, edge is annoying, and volume and power button needed to be in same right side... Out of 10, s9 gets 8, s10 gets 9
Just switched from s7 to s9 (2020). Mainly for bigger screen. And aftermarket phone is cheap now, bought for 140e. A little bit broken behind but doesn't matter with cover.
so...i’m thinking about leaving the Apple ecosystem and just going to Galaxy. i’ve done it in the past with the S3 & 4....but now, Samsung has caught up and then some with the S10. thoughts of leaving Apple?
I think if you get a Galaxy smartphone, you'll discover more options and ways to do better things as well as you like than getting an iPhone. It's just my opinion, have a nice day ;)
After 2 years with the s9+ I finally upgraded to the s10+. When I first got this phone, I was searching for the fingerprint scanner in the back. Smudged the camera lens a bit...
For all those s10 users that find the hole punch camera icky, I would highly suggest utilizing the night mode feature. I find myself always using night mode, but not because I dislike the hole punch camera...I actually like the hole punch camera. However, I have noticed, lately, that utilizing the night mode covers the hole punch really well. It won't be the solution to the hole punch camera but it will fade it out on most apps.

I upgraded from a galaxy s7 edge to a galaxy s10 and I'm so happy 😭 (the s7 was perfectly fine but the infinity display on the s10 is so beautiful)
S7 Edge has been and will be the best looking samsung phone ever, i simply love it. That was the 1st phone that made me love Samsung.
Could you redeem the ikonik skin for in fortnite
I have both. Nick review is very accurate. I would add that the S10 is an improvement in responsiveness too (sometimes on the S9 you have to wait like 1s when using phone features).
Also, you could never use that phone (the S9) in "high performance" mode, or the battery drains in a 2h(I am exagerating here), and in the daily usage it is "average mode"
I think the finger print into the display is more slow that rear or front display. Its a tecnology no mature yet!
I tend to turn my S10 over to watch full screen RUclips/other videos, which puts the volume control on the top of the phone in landscape, which I like, and the cutout on the bottom right of the viewing. I find that I don't notice it there much at all.
But but if you set the s9 screen to basic mode, they are pratically the same in term of color accuraccy
If you put the s9 on basic that's basically looks so bad, i got an s9 and just tried basic, and its not the same as s10 plus
I just bought the note 9 1 month ago and I like it a lot as my forever device
Still using an S9. Only issue is weakened battery. But now I want a One Plus 8 Pro. Hard to spend $800 to upgrade though when my current phone is fine.
I love Samsung but it makes no sense to pay full price for a samung phone because the price drops so quick I'm talking 2 to 3 months
Its better to buy their one year old flagship models
Same thought
Yeah, you're right. I did a trade in for $300 off and came with free galaxy buds. That's about $430 in total so I think it was worth it.
Ha its even better to wait for their buy one get one free deal lol...
It's already dropped lol
Just purchased a s10 about a week ago and I absolutely love it!! Had a s8 since it launched and loved it but felt it was definitely time for an upgrade and couldn't be more happier. 😀
Tracy D. Not tryna hate but you should've waited for the S11. 5 cameras, 108mp camera sensor, 5000mah battery, 120hz display,
@@iknowright803 true but 5 cameras tho??🤔
Tracy D. Yes 5 rear cameras. Go check the leaks
@@iknowright803 I'll check it out but I'm absolutely happy with the s10
Tracy D. I too might get a Samsung s10 once I pass my board exams in a few months. Idk
Watching this on my S9. I love my phone. Won't upgrade till S11 comes out.
Same here !
That's smart
S9 has a touch sensor which is located in same place as home button. If you push on it while display is off. It'll turn your display on and you can unlock it by eye scan
I'm watching this on my galaxy s5
My baby! I still miss my S5.
I upgraded to S9+ from Note 2 last year. And S9+ has been just amazing, it’s a great phone and I’m pretty sure it’ll get me a couple of years more.
6:46 excuse me what, im here with 16 gb
Only thing I'd point out is that the storage you mentioned is only in the phone's most basic model. My s9 has 256GB for those wondering and it's so nice to have especially from a phone that's now 2 generations old
I just bought my s9 yesterday.I notice when I lock and unlock the screen, there is a delay. Same with the fingerprint scanner...sometimes fast and sometimes slow. I wonder if this was due to the android pie update? Anyone else having issues?
Watching on my s9
Ever since the S3, I've always waited 3 generations to get new phones. Plus, I tried the S10 in person at Best Buy, and that cutout is incredibly distracting. I'm happy with my S9+.
Same, I wanna get the s10 but the punch hole is a deal breaker IMO
Wait for a90 or note 10
I’ve started thinking about purchasing S9 from the beginning cause it was on sale. However, it was out of stock so quickly everywhere so i needed an alternative option. At the same time, S10 was on sale too but on the higher class. I decided to buy S10 and still don’t feel regret till now. It’s the best, especially with the rear camera.
Nick. You have Tap to Wake on the S9/S9+. It's just in the AOD settings. Makes the screen come on for 30 seconds.
could you tell me how to get to that setting? What is the AOD setting?
@@hienho15 u can go into the quick toggles and tap the aod letters and it will give u the option
@@angryviper1 thanks
I like the extra cpu grunt the S10 has, but with the fingerprint sensor now being on the front I would no longer have the fingerprint sensor gesture for the pull down menu which I use pretty much everytime I want to check notifications. That is a huge deal to me.
In setting you should be able to set it up where u swipe down anywhere on screen!
I’m thinking I’m liking the the forehead on the s9 than the punchout on the s10.
Just got my S9, upgraded from my S7 which I had since release, and had it not stopped working I would've continued with it and not even considered a new phone.
Same dude -- great phone
I upgraded from S7 too 3 days ago the performance increase is insane! The screen is also beautiful and soooo soft to touch it
Finally got purple (prefered) s9 and now I wish I waited but thos s9 is so soft n sensitive to the touch so responsive and it's from 2018 camera killed it
2 point you skipped totally 1st point the S10 has 8 gigs of ram s9 has 4 gigs. 2nd point the S10 has an 855 processor and the s9 has the 845. The 855 is 30% faster than the 845 and the 855 has 20% more power efficient.
What about s10e?
Great video. We need more videos like that.
I'm sticking with my s9 plus for a while longer
I used to have the LG Stylo 2 plus upgraded to s10 I have no complaints the S10 also charges so fast and power saving mode adjusts to you not just disable certain features. Sticking with it for awhile and iPhone 11 still ain't got a fingerprint scanner only face recognition but s10 has both.
S9 video watching experience better then S10 because no diatracting hole punch
It's not distracting for everyone. I have the S10+ and the hole punch is not distracting whatsoever.
You can add more bezel to the screen if it bothers you that much
But S9 screen looks more curvy than S10?? Why so? Is there any difference in its curved screen? As S10 looks more flat and S9 looks more curvy. Please explain..
It's 2022 and I'm on my new s9, still better than any midrange phone
I'm watching this video with s10plus 🤩
I've got the s9 as my 2nd phone to my iphone 12 but I'm getting the s10 now
Could you do s9 vs s10e?
No
@@069787637 why not? It'll be great for those who are curious if they should get the 10E or thr 9...
@@RAJKOify very useful information 👍

@@Mental_Illboy thanks but I am married and a mother.
I am keeping my Samsung Galaxy S9M gonna upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S10
Got the S9 some months ago and its a beast! Maybe upgrading to the s11 or 12 when it comes out.
Im doing the same
I sell my S9 and buy S10 prism green..now I satisfied with S10 because camera and 8 gb ram and more features ❤️
It was worth it? Im think about the same thing long time;)
I upgraded from the s9+ to the S10+.
I figured out what was wrong. I had to go into app scaling and change them to full screen.
👇🏻👇🏻 people who still use s9 this 2021 just like me..
Me I just got mine days ago from Amazon for 160 like new
Me in 2022
S9 here
I reckon Samsung mastered their design language with the s8 and every phone since then has been all icing
I snagged an s9 for 350 Pretty stoked on it still
Any issues on the s9 with a slow fingerprint scanner or slow when unlocking/locking the screen?
@@95bloc97 Nope. The face/iris scanner is fairly slow but I heard that's just how it was on launch

Got the s9 plus il just wait for the note 12 if I'm changing I'm changing to the best lol
I got the S9 for Cricket wireless during a flash sale a week before the S10 was released, paid $349. So far a great device, one of the best I've used!
I like the s8 plus, s9 plus(even though I've never had this one) and I have the s10 plus and I really like it. 😊
Went from the Note 9 to the S10+. Huge difference, like the S10+ better but I rarely used the S Pen
really happy with my S10e!
Best phone ever!!!
Where can I find it
I bought galaxy s9 just a few weeks before the s10 came out 🤦♂️ but I really think that the s10+ is absolutely amazing and beautiful and now I just have to have it!
Same here haha
Next Video Note 10 vs Galaxy Fold vs S10plus vs S10 5g Vs HuaWei P30pro
Not sure if you mentioned but s10 is quicker, faster with its 8gb memory... Only flaw is prob battery could be better with s10, edge is annoying, and volume and power button needed to be in same right side... Out of 10, s9 gets 8, s10 gets 9
Why are you bringing up Storage space when both are Expandable?
For me it is very important - I'm dual sim user
Just switched from s7 to s9 (2020). Mainly for bigger screen. And aftermarket phone is cheap now, bought for 140e. A little bit broken behind but doesn't matter with cover.
Watching on my s9 no need to get a plus model when I would have to pay $100 more just for another camera
just for another camera, bigger screen, bigger battery.
Deontae Belcher the extra 2gb of ram makes it more future proof
You make the videos that matter most man
3:46 That was smooth
So S8 to S9 is hardly any difference and now I'm weighing up is their enough of an improvement from S8 to S10. Huge price difference
Sticking with note 9 until note 11😂
Same 👌
you will change your mind when you see the note 10 :)
Ain't nothing wrong with that. 2 years is a very reasonable time for a smartphone.

so...i’m thinking about leaving the Apple ecosystem and just going to Galaxy. i’ve done it in the past with the S3 & 4....but now, Samsung has caught up and then some with the S10. thoughts of leaving Apple?
I think if you get a Galaxy smartphone, you'll discover more options and ways to do better things as well as you like than getting an iPhone. It's just my opinion, have a nice day ;)
If you're gonna switch to Samsung. Look into their note series. It offers more features than the standard android phone
just got the S10+ it's pretty dope so far.
Very informative video.thanks
Not first but still notification squad
After 2 years with the s9+ I finally upgraded to the s10+. When I first got this phone, I was searching for the fingerprint scanner in the back. Smudged the camera lens a bit...
Dude non of u have nothing to complain about becuase im still using a j2prime😦😲🇩🇲
Went from S9 to S10+ and it felt like a huge upgrade!!
How so?
I'm getting the s10 today
For all those s10 users that find the hole punch camera icky, I would highly suggest utilizing the night mode feature. I find myself always using night mode, but not because I dislike the hole punch camera...I actually like the hole punch camera. However, I have noticed, lately, that utilizing the night mode covers the hole punch really well. It won't be the solution to the hole punch camera but it will fade it out on most apps.
Design check camera check battery life check so why sould I pick the s 9 when the s 10 cleanly the better phone.
The question isn't if it's better. The question is if it's worth the extra $300-400.

Get the s10 instead it's better
