I feel like sammy deliberately separated the s10 and the s10+ by giving s10+ a much larger battery. From s9 to s10 we get 400mah, but from s9+ to s10+ we get 600mah. I kinda hoped s10 will have at least 3500-3600mah, but i guess not... A shame, but i think s10 will be good enough in battery life...

S10e has flat screen vs edge on S10 & S10+ 3. 512 GB memory and also dual Sim options are only available for S10 & S10+ (at least in Australia) 4. Front glass - Gorilla Glass 6 (S10 & S10+) and Gorilla Glass 5 (S10e)
I pre-ordered the S10e with the 8GB/256GB configuration, and I'm coming from a Note. I'm honestly a fan of more compact phones, and I'm excited to see that Samsung finally isn't being cheap when it comes to the processor or RAM this time around. I can deal with a traditional fingerprint sensor, I have no use for a telephoto lens, and the 1080p screen looks fantastic-- 1440p doesn't even make sense on a phone that small.
I went with the S10e (unlocked) for $749 plus I got a free Gear Fit2 Pro with it from BestBuy. The size is perfect, battery lasts for a full day plus, and the flat screen is a plus. The in screen finger print is nothing special to me as when I power it on my finger print takes and the face scanner is very fast. Screen is very nice, and it takes very nice photos. Also it is powerful. Very happy I went with the S10e.
S10e is the best choice for me..... Except I will personally "handle all of them" in person before I make my final purchase decision of which one to buy. 🤠👍😉

All phones are great, and you should not feel bad over choosing either. S10e is definitely the best here in my opinion, the curved screen looks cool but gets old quick, it makes the screen look smaller, it causes glare, and causes miss-clicks when holding it without a case that covers it (which defeats the purpose, and blocks some view), most tempered glass screen protectors also cause issues with sensitivity. Also, you forgot to mention that the S10E has a lower resolution than the others. But at the size of a smartphone, the pixel-count becomes less important, and the Amoled makes it look better than previous generation phones that have higher resolutions. s10e has * Flat screen (makes it look bigger than the curved s9 and s8 ones that are the same size) * Much cheaper * Same internals * Looks better * reliable fingerprint sensor Also, people keep thinking it's a "small" phone, it's display is literally the same size as the previous generations, they just trimmed some of the phones height by reducing the bezils, and made the s10 and s10+ extra large. The fingerprint thing on the s10 and s10+ sure is cool, but I have heard a lot of people having issues with recognition on the first try. The s10e is supposed to be more reliable, and it's in a decent place of the phone. If they made the s10 sensor perfect it would be cool, but not $150 extra cool.

I have an S10. Simply put, it's the best phone I've ever had. The S10e just wasn't enough but the S10+ is a bit too big and the double hole punch doesn't look as good as the singular one.
for me it was the s10 as well as I dont use snap chat or Instagram so that dual camera is useless to me and the awkwardly placed power button on the + so saved myself the money (y)
Great comparison, always love your videos. You give nice clear concise information wanted to let you know that on the S10 plus it has to forward cameras for selfies. But only the one camera actually outputs to the screen if you're looking directly at the phone the one to the right is used for depth but doesn't actually output any video. did you go into selfie mode put your finger over that right hand camera you will see that it does not obstruct The view. Only the left hand camera actually outputs any video. I'm assuming that's a right hand camera you seeing used at the processing level two make the photo better in some way. but it isn't actually switching from one camera to the other when you switch from wide-angle to narrow angle
Still getting the S10+ I have to have the best one. Especially being that this is going to be my first Samsung phone. I never wanted it before because they were so bad after 6 months but the last couple of years they have gotten a lot better. I figured I would try them out now.

s10e doesn't have quad hd display, but I can't tell the difference really comparing them at the store. Also greater loss of battery life when using anything that uses that quad hd display

Very well done on breaking down those 3 smartphones. We get more of an insight on which smartphone to get. The S10 is enough for me! The front finger sensor, makes it so much easier and convenient. Did you intentionally leave out the extra battery life? You emphasized the larger screen so much I thought it might have reminded you that tree larger form factor meant it has bigger batteries on the S10 & S10+
You forgot to mention the S10 plus has the 4000mah battery which the other two phones do not have. If the 6.1 S10 had that battery I would have went with that model, but the battery and the extra camera features and higher resale value were my deciding factors this time around when deciding on a new phone.
At the time I upgraded from the S 7 Edge , the S10 plus had a price of $1000 back in March, decided to go with the S10 which was about $200 cheaper and is 3 inches less than the S10 plus, so far very impressed and happy with purchase, the speaker quality is way better than what I had with the S7 Edge and like all the extra features...
I own an iPhone X and after this review I’m strongly considering the S10. Has everything I need and more. I do quite a bit of hiking and I cannot begin to express how annoying it is to run out of space from constant picture/video taking and not be able to use my portable external hard drive that my darn iPhone refuses to want to interact with. That’s definitely not a problem my lady, who is upgrading from an S8 to an S10 Plus, has ever had issues with. She simply connects the hard drive to her phone and instantly starts working on not only transferring all her pictures and videos to the hard drive but organizing them into their designated folders! Like seriously? Sad part is it’s my hard drive not hers 🤦🏻♂️ Anyways, I’m officially getting rid of my iPhone X for the S10. Only reason I haven’t done so earlier is because of iMessage but the cons outweigh the positives and I’m tired of dragging this out any longer.
Wait 250 difference between the s10e and the s10e plus but you show a $150 jump each iteration. That's $300. Your math is off. Also, you left off this stuff from your list: -1440p (up from 2080 on the e) - More RAM and even more on the Plus - Bigger battery (in both) - Infinity edge display That's a lot for a reviewer that had time to prepare and rewatch the final product to leave off.
I traded in my Galaxy S8 on the Samsung web store and they gave me $300. I also used my student discount and wound up getting the S10 plus for $704 with shipping and taxes.

I have a Galaxy S7 edge and have come to hate the edge design. It's difficult to find phone cases for these "edge" display phones that truly protect the phone. I seldom use the edge features and feel that the edge design is really more of a gimmick than anything else. I'm glad that Galaxy decided to offer a flat screen version in the s10 series in the form of the s10e. That's what I plan to buy for my next phone.
I doubt peoples will charge anything with it if its away from a power source but if you charge to the wall your phone then it will be a top wireless charger indeed

One of the biggest differences between the devices is the resolution. I believe the S10e is a 1080p display while S10 and S10+ are 1440p. That would make a big difference to some people, me included 😊
While it does suck, the human eye could barely tell the difference in every day use not putting them side by side close up and it means longer battery life. I went for it for relative ease of use and flat screen

comparing the S10 lineup to the IPhone X lineup there is no comparison. Barley any corner's were cut for the cheap version of the S10 and the IPhone XR has so many deductions to it in order for it to reach that $750 price point.
You forgot to mention that all three have different battery sizes. You also for got to mention that the S10+ has a vapor cooling chamber which is geared towards gamers so that the phone doesn’t overheat.
I don't think I can justify $750+ for a phone with a hole in the display. Same goes for notched phones. If you're paying top dollar you shouldn't be settling for bad design. Hardware should never get in the way of software. If there were no hole (and the Pixel Lite leaks are BS) I'd have considered the S10e. Two cameras are already too many (main sensor on multi-camera phones usually gives the best images, meaning you'll use it 95% of the time), 5.8" is already too big, 1080p is more than enough detail and a good balance between battery life and sharpness, and curved edges make the phone easier to break and distort the image especially when viewed from an angle, so the non-curved edges are great. The in-display fingerprint is nice but not mandatory, as is 8 GB RAM vs 6. I'd still go for the S10e if were the same price as the S10 lol. Samsung's software is getting better, but it's also another downside of getting any of these phones.

Zie Tua it depends really on how big your hands are. It will probably take some getting used to, but I haven’t found it slippery.

Very well done on breaking down those 3 smartphones. We get more of an insight on which smartphone to get. The S10 is enough for me! The front finger sensor, makes it so much easier and convenient. It's perfect while driving with the smartphone sitting on my smartphone car holder. It's big, and with a beautiful resolution with almost full screen.

Did you intentionally leave out the extra battery life? You emphasized the larger screen so much I thought it might have reminded you that tree larger form factor meant it has bigger batteries on the S10 & S10+

You forgot to mention the S10 plus has the 4000mah battery which the other two phones do not have. If the 6.1 S10 had that battery I would have went with that model, but the battery and the extra camera features and higher resale value were my deciding factors this time around when deciding on a new phone.
Like the smaller form and like flat screen. So s10e is for me.
s10 for me i like curved displays and the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner triple camera setup and 2 front facing cameras is too nuch for me
s10 comes with 8GB RAM & s10E comes with 6GB RAM

At the time I upgraded from the S 7 Edge , the S10 plus had a price of $1000 back in March, decided to go with the S10 which was about $200 cheaper and is 3 inches less than the S10 plus, so far very impressed and happy with purchase, the speaker quality is way better than what I had with the S7 Edge and like all the extra features...

I own an iPhone X and after this review I’m strongly considering the S10. Has everything I need and more.
I do quite a bit of hiking and I cannot begin to express how annoying it is to run out of space from constant picture/video taking and not be able to use my portable external hard drive that my darn iPhone refuses to want to interact with.
That’s definitely not a problem my lady, who is upgrading from an S8 to an S10 Plus, has ever had issues with. She simply connects the hard drive to her phone and instantly starts working on not only transferring all her pictures and videos to the hard drive but organizing them into their designated folders! Like seriously? Sad part is it’s my hard drive not hers 🤦🏻♂️
Anyways, I’m officially getting rid of my iPhone X for the S10. Only reason I haven’t done so earlier is because of iMessage but the cons outweigh the positives and I’m tired of dragging this out any longer.
Wait 250 difference between the s10e and the s10e plus but you show a $150 jump each iteration. That's $300. Your math is off. Also, you left off this stuff from your list:
-1440p (up from 2080 on the e)
- More RAM and even more on the Plus
- Bigger battery (in both)
- Infinity edge display
That's a lot for a reviewer that had time to prepare and rewatch the final product to leave off.
I traded in my Galaxy S8 on the Samsung web store and they gave me $300. I also used my student discount and wound up getting the S10 plus for $704 with shipping and taxes.

I have a Galaxy S7 edge and have come to hate the edge design. It's difficult to find phone cases for these "edge" display phones that truly protect the phone. I seldom use the edge features and feel that the edge design is really more of a gimmick than anything else. I'm glad that Galaxy decided to offer a flat screen version in the s10 series in the form of the s10e. That's what I plan to buy for my next phone.

I doubt peoples will charge anything with it if its away from a power source but if you charge to the wall your phone then it will be a top wireless charger indeed

I went with the S10. I didn’t need all of the extra cameras and already have an S9+ which I’m keeping. Smaller form factor and lower price were appealing. After taxes, these phones aren’t cheap. Great info as always.
One of the biggest differences between the devices is the resolution. I believe the S10e is a 1080p display while S10 and S10+ are 1440p. That would make a big difference to some people, me included 😊
While it does suck, the human eye could barely tell the difference in every day use not putting them side by side close up and it means longer battery life. I went for it for relative ease of use and flat screen

I'm getting the S10 + for $699 with trade in of my S8 +.
comparing the S10 lineup to the IPhone X lineup there is no comparison. Barley any corner's were cut for the cheap version of the S10 and the IPhone XR has so many deductions to it in order for it to reach that $750 price point.
My choice is s10 i pre ordered ready Excited to use

Hey I bought the s10e and yes it does have face recognition but it is pretty shitty checkout the articles on more about this.
You're wrong on displays. S10e offers full HD10+ while S10 and + has Quad HD10+
You forgot to mention that all three have different battery sizes. You also for got to mention that the S10+ has a vapor cooling chamber which is geared towards gamers so that the phone doesn’t overheat.

I don't think I can justify $750+ for a phone with a hole in the display. Same goes for notched phones. If you're paying top dollar you shouldn't be settling for bad design. Hardware should never get in the way of software.
If there were no hole (and the Pixel Lite leaks are BS) I'd have considered the S10e. Two cameras are already too many (main sensor on multi-camera phones usually gives the best images, meaning you'll use it 95% of the time), 5.8" is already too big, 1080p is more than enough detail and a good balance between battery life and sharpness, and curved edges make the phone easier to break and distort the image especially when viewed from an angle, so the non-curved edges are great. The in-display fingerprint is nice but not mandatory, as is 8 GB RAM vs 6. I'd still go for the S10e if were the same price as the S10 lol.
Samsung's software is getting better, but it's also another downside of getting any of these phones.
