Alright let's do this, one last time
For real this time
this is it. My name is Miles Morales
I was bitten by a radioactive spider
And for the last 2 days
@@GOJIRA-bo8uo I’ve been the one and only Spider-Man
The fact that the bagel joke came back in the sequel is so good.
The fact that it's the catalyst for the film is genius & hilarious 😂
“I beat them all. And then I realized that I’m not scared of anything.” Miles monologue talk to his mom at the end. Gave me goosebumps when he said that.
24:42 man that bagel really hit the spot!
Well done sir!
for penny, the loss was that the robot was made by her father, if you go back when she is explaining her backstory she explains it. its something along the lines of the last thing her father worked on or something like that. so it has sentimental value to her because its basically a memento of her father.
Hector is right about Miles’ teacher. You just KNOW she got that Pixar mom figure
Miles’ mother is a different level though
@@Kickinthescience Rio is unparalleled in spiderverse. I just hope they don't kill her off in beyond the spiderverse.
Peni said the spider lives in the robot, not really that it pilots it. So presumably the robot has its own personality, and that’s why she was sad at the loss. In the comics the spider does partially control it.
Edit: also, it’s her dad’s robot
She said during her introduction that it was her /father's/ robot. It was probably the last thing she had of him, that's why she's so upset.
@@HappyEggz that too
24:45 they took that one joke and changed the fate of the entire multiverse. Those absolute madlads.
27:25 I think you mean "Hector is a man of culture."
As for Peni's sadness over the loss of her mech. I took it as that mech was the last thing her dad worked on while he was alive and that's why she was sad about losing it.
She also says as she's introduced that the robot is her best friend :(
The robot was built by her father so that was like her last living memory of him his creation
Im so glad Hector mentioned "do you think he dyes his hair blonde?" because of this video, while watching Chris Pine Spider-Man recap his life, in the uncle Ben section of great power, you can see kid peter is actually blomde. Its such a great detail and one of thr earliest signs that this wasn't the Peter B. Parker Spider-Man from the trailers.
I can't wait for you guys to see across the spider verse.. I saw it last night and boy it was spectacularly incredible! Animation is fantastic. Especially in Gwens universe whenever shes talking to her dad 👌👌
They have already seen it
They've already seen it and reviewed it on their second channel! Check it out
I know you guys had to see Across the Spiderverse on Day 1 but I'm sad we couldn't get a reaction because what a movie that was, holy smokes.
42:19 You tell em, Hector
one of the things i love about the movie that i dont see being brought up much is how, the movie makes it obvious that miles is really into gwen, and, even though he saw her flirting back at the end, he decided not to push things, because of all she has gone through, he is happy that they can become friends.
After watching across the spiderverse, that bagel hits different!
i just watched Across the Spiderverse and you guys drop this vid? Just on time homies!
I saw Across the Spiderverse yesterday it's even more of visual masterpiece than the first one! (which I didn't think could be achieved because the first movie has such top tier animation) Gwen's dimension with the soft yellow and pink contrasted with her blues at first and by the end of the movie she becmes yellow and pink AHHH it's just * aggressive chef kiss * poetic cinema babey!
32:30 The 'What's up danger' sequence, for me, is probably one of the most iconic scenes in any movie, ever. I remember seeing this in a theater for the first time and this is when everyone was still being introduced to the uniqueness of the Spider-Verse. When Miles leaps off that building the audience literally jumped to their feet and cheered. It was a real moment and I remember having tears in my eyes from it.
Facts I even looked it up after I seen the movie that scene was amazingggggggg
So at 24:42, that must be the scientist that becomes The Spot? In Across the Spiderverse The Spot says that Miles threw a bagel at him 😁
I absolutely adore Into the Spiderverse. Around this time I wasn't really into animated films anymore but Spiderverse got me back into watching animated films especially modern animated films. I didn't see it in theaters saw it on Netflix might do the same with Across the Spiderverse miss it out on theaters mainly due to seeing other films during it's theater run but watch it on streaming services. I laughed at like 90% of the jokes. Prowler, Spiderman Noir, Kingpin, Miles, Jefferson Davisand Peter B. Parker were my absolute favorite characters in the film. The animation is absolutely beautiful and I'm upset I didn't see it in theaters
Do yourself a favor and watch this one in theaters. You won't regret it, I promise.
Still use the Leap of Faith scene for a hype up when I need it
Just when I thought you guys couldn’t get any cooler I see you rockin the Biltwell 🤟🏻🤟🏻
25:05 in terms of television, the amazing world of gumball doesn't combine all you've mentioned onto one character, per se, they do make use of mutiple different art mediums in their show in such a casual way and every episode is just mind-blowing how well they adapted each in such a casual way.
24:42 little did they know that bagel created The Spot 💀
The comedy in this movie feels more natural than Disney MCU Spiderman
Who knew that bagel moment would be so important?
“Also the teacher can get it” Damn, Hector you’re freak. But 100% agree
"Change your heart or die!" Yes, Hector, yes!
The meta commentary in Across The Spider-Verse about Miles is insane. You have to watch it!
11:12 the reason green goblin is like that is he’s based off his design in the ultimate comics. Probably because miles himself was first introduced in that universe.
Let’s gooooooooooo! Love you guys!!
I think that the emotion towards the robot 36:36 was literally the same thing from Big Hero 6 when he lost Baymax
Lol this is the most HD version of the movie in a reaction I've ever seen.
OMG, I did not see the last post credit scene until now...I'm so disappointed in myself. Loved the watch with you guys
Hector forgot about Miles mom because she can get it
Daniel Pemberton remixed elephant trumpet sounds for the Prowler theme
so cool how miles was going to call uncle Aaron right after he found out about his powers..
"I wonder what we're seeing here that we don't know will be in the sequel"
Bagel?
Oh and all those dark spots in the reactor
You guys have gotta do a watch-along for Across the Spider-verse! Thanks for the content longtime viewer of the channel. Superhero News to Hyper Heroes to Heroes Reforged, love the content thanks guys!!
lets goo, across the spiderverse is now my favorite movie of all time looking forward to the vid!
I believe Peni is sad because the robot was built by her father who was her uncle Ben
Saw ATSV for the second time today, and it only elevates this movie even more. Both these movies are fantastic, and part 2 is gonna be fucking amazing.
I don’t do this for every movie I like but once AtSV comes out on Blu-ray, I’m getting it. Same goes for Beyond the Spiderverse. I already got Into the Spiderverse on Blu-ray, and after the sequel, I went, “fuck it…I’m getting the whole trilogy on Blu-ray.”
Penni is sad about the robot because they were built by her father, whom is the one who died in her universe.
A lot of people missed that fact cause it wasnt focused on a lot
"Uncle Aaron was there at the end." 👀
Been waiting on you guys to react to this eventual trilogy few people I’d trust to take in the full greatness of the Spider-Verse
The emotional take away from that scene with Penni losing her robot is because that robot was the last thing her father built for her so she would always be protected. The Robot made up for poweres Penni didn't get like the other spider people durability or self-healing.
When you watch this and know the context of the next film:
OHHHH BOY. lol
Who would've thought a bagel would cost so many problems iykyk 😂😂
Yes! This movie is one of my favorite movies ever! The animation and story is great. I can’t wait for the next two movies of this series to come out!
The colors on Miles' spidey sense changing when he first meets Peter Parker is such an amazing detail!
When Miles and Spider-Pine first meet, you see behind Miles the colors of the Prowler (Uncle Aaron) switch to Spider-man’s colors
5:27 You’d be surprised!
Can't wait for a spoiler review from you guys for Across the Spider-Verse!!!
My only gripe about Across is that I didn't know pt 3 had been greenlit already and the cliffhanger ending threw me a little...
Into was amazing and the What's Up Danger scene is a top 3 movie scene imo
Even when it’s been confirmed for a little bit now, it’s a cliffhanger for a reason
@Mjsports it just felt too abrupt idk regardless the movie kicked ass
What helped me (even tho I didn't mind) is looking at pt2 as move from Gwen's perspective. If you think about it in a way her arc was complete.
@@TimSedai Agreed
I didn't know either but the theater had labeled the movie as "part 1" so I wasn't surprised.
Oh god the bagel....
Wouldn't it now be "genetically altered spider" instead of radioactive spider?
Nobody seems to have ever pegged to the idea that, even if Kingpin found another family and grabbed them, they would glitch out and die in only a few days just like the Spider people. What would he do then, keep grabbing more families from more dimensions? Liv was aware of the problem, but she didn't have a solution yet if she was just going to watch Peter B die and not experiment on him with some remedy.
Less than 5 min and the thirst from hector…
😂 Dude! I'm from Chelsea! There's a whole lot of Puerto Rican & black people in Chelsea NYC. The Wayans family is from Chelsea
Peni was sad because the robot was destroyed. Yes, the Spider lived, and she has a psychic connection with the Spider that controlled the mech, but she's sad because the robot was her father's robot. Her father made it, and her father is dead. In the scene in the dorm room, when they were all trying to connect with Miles about their losses, Peni says her loss is her father. And that robot was probably the last connection she had to her father.
Bagel
It’s so good. Love that film! Miles is so cool!
Personally I loved this movie more than the second one, maybe because it was the first time experiencing this style of storytelling or that the story for the most part is contained within one movie whereas the second one sets up the 3rd one. Still can’t wait to see how they wrap up this story and where they go from there!!
Giving me LOTR vibes
Yeah I agree, even though I liked the second movie, the first movie has something special about it. It's like catching lightning in a bottle, you can only catch it once.
This makes me really wish Across was in 3D. I looked for it and could only find the regular 2D one, then later found out it's not in 3D at all. Such a shame; I loved Into in 3D and Across would have been *amazing* with the added depth.
It's showing in 3D in the UK. Unfortunately it's 4DX which I just don't have the budget for.
@@mulukh7 Huh. We have 4DX here, I just didn't know what it was. But it's really annoying that to get 3D, I also need to have all the motion and annoying environmental crap... if they've already got it in 3D for that, why not show it in regular 3D as well? :(
penny's lost was that the robot was a piece of her dad she won't get.. he made it, it's like your grandmother made a quilt then died and all you have to remember her by is that quilt.
Peni mentions in her intro that the robot is her father's and then she shares that her 'uncle Ben' was her dad
24:44 if you know you know 😅
26:49 I tracked down the tweet and the Nerdist article but sadly, the video where you tell Ms. Tomlin about Spidema'am seems to be no longer working.
While this posted video is still fresh, I wanna know what 3d TV you guys have???
2nd one somehow even better IMO
This movie should only be viewed in 3D
Watched this movie in theatres 3 times, never done that for any other movie before or since. Can't remember if I watched in 3D once or twice
this entire reaction: ThIs 3d iS aWeSoMe
The number on the Chance the Rapper hat is different
I think my only (tiny) issue with atsv is that it’s only one year after. Miles looks about 3 or 4 years older 🤔
Also, I'm glad that they changed so much from the alternate cut in which the original leap of faith scene was played off as a joke.
I think that Penny Parker's robot itself was built by her dad, thats why she was sad. She could build her own robots for sure, but that was the last thing her dad made for her I think.
Actually I think that goblin in ITSV is based on ultimate goblin, more like a demon than the 616 goblin.
The robot was built by her Dad. True she can build another, but it won't be her dads'. And also in an engineers' standpoint, I get it.
Her father created the Robot....it's like loosing a last memento of her father. she then creates her own robot.
She was sad because it was the robot that her and dad built together, so she had to create a new one but that was a project she and her dad made together if I’m not mistaken
This watch along was great. I love this movie. Top 5 movie all time. I cosplayed as Peter B Parker at C2E2 last year. My son's name is Myles and he loves this movie too. His favorite part is when Miles does the shoulder touch. He loves to do it to, so imagine a 3 year old doing it to older women. Lol. The funniest thing. Keep up the great work guys. 👊🏼
Supposedly we are getting a Spider-Man noir series
Hello, I'm one of the probably many people in the comments telling you what the loss is with the mech. That mech was built by her father, so in a way it's probably all she has left of him. The spider lives, and she can build a new one, but that last connection she had with him is lost.
Can I just say, all 3 of y'all can get it [insert Kiely Williams meme]
Thanks, Adam! Thanks, Hector! Thanks, Agustin! 🕷 #HeroesReforged #BobPersichetti #PeterRamsey #RodneyRothman #SpiderManIntoTheSpiderVerse
Couple of fun bits of trivia:
The team spent two years working on the animation style before they started working on the movie.
Spider-Man and Superman was the first Marvel/DC crossover to happen.
In the comics, Gwen's alter ego is Ghost Spider, not Spider-Gwen.
Miles and his Mom have no subtitles when they're speaking Spanish. If someone doesn't know Spanish, they won't know what they're saying. Just like real life!
in the comics, Peni Parker's robot resembles an Eva unit and three of her classmates are best girl Rei, annoying loudmouth Asuka, and crybaby "get in the damn robot" Shinji.
The first Japanese Spider-Man, aired in 1978 with 41 episodes, was a 22 year old motorcycle racer, Takuya Yamishiro, who saw a UFO fall to Earth named the Marveller. Where he was injected with the blood from an alien from Planet Spider, which gave him spider powers. He's given a hi-tech bracelet that creates his Spider-Man costume and the UFO can transform into a giant robot named Leopardon. Leopardon got to be a cameo in Ready Player One.
In he comics, Noir lost his Uncle Benjamin to the Vulture, who was a cannibal. He later shot and killed Vulture. Aunt May, not knowing he was her nephew, scolded him for using his gun instead of his webbing and took the gun from him.
This movie won the Oscar for Best Animated Movie.
Everytime you guys theorize about the sequel im like....do they know?
Miguel is a villain. He is going against with great power must also come great responsibility. This is the motto that Peter learns by standing aside and not doing anything. Which got his Uncle killed. Spider-Man always tries to save everyone. Regardless if it is impossible.
Actually not just Peter learns but all Spider-people.
"nobody does that ever" The amazing world of gumball:
Let's go
5:22
I still can't believe that Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance created Penni Parker. 😱
Same
Love in spider man in spidervere 😊
Alchemex sounds like Malcom X
this movie is incredible and the 2nd one is BETTER.
I never understood why Gwen just didnt say her actual name. Was it in case theres another Gwen in this timeline?
Im sorry yall but knowing someones hug is a stretch. Maybe more their scent. But hey maybe i need to test that out lol
I REALLY wanna see this in 3D but can’t justify getting a 3D tv 🤷🏻♂️
