I'm not sure I could better encapsulate everyone's issues with Hector being in these reactions to HoTD like this moment does 😂. Camera shows an epic wide shot of the crowd of westerosies in Kings Landing slowly coming to accept a new King (who's essentially stealing the crown from Rhaenyra) and all Hector can do is perk up from his slumped bored looking position to say, "That looks almost as full as Hall H!"
I made a small joke that made both my friends laugh. If that annoyed you so much, if the way I'm sitting is coming across like I'm bored and being disrespectful to your show (I'm not), if me sitting in my garage is rubbing you the wrong way, then you don't have to watch. Thanks.

@@hectorminator She was considered a woman of a marriageable age for that time. She may appear younger in the show because she was friends with Rhaenyra, but she was 18 in the books. He wasn’t perfect but he tried to keep the peace in the realm. He made mistakes though. I didn’t like him either, but I still felt for him and the love for his daughter.

That's racist! Is Hector's default setting anytime a minority is being dismissed or talked down to, the council and king were being dismissive of Corlys not because he's black but because he was making valid points.
Yeah, this show or universe really brought some internal things in a bad way like, I remember he said in a previous episode: "I don't care if any of these white hair white skin characters die, just the black ones are interesting", damn bro.

I know my two sense means nothing, but I understand this show may not be your cup of tea especially for hector and I respect that. But, you guys were extremely harsh to King Viserys, he was weak yes and was sick, he wasn’t 104 he was around 50-60 possibly don’t remember exactly. But he had a sickness. The jokes were a bit insensitive towards him and yes I understand none of this is real but at least be a little respectful. Many people love this series and ip. Yes incest is very heavy and involved in this show a little more than game of thrones was but this is because it’s very Targaryen focus hence house of the dragon. I enjoy watching your reactions and love your account and while I wish to possibly see you react to season 2 I hope you guys open your horizons to different stories. But again it’s understandable if you don’t like the series that’s fine but don’t want just to trash it the whole time. It’s like imagine wanting to show a friend something and they do nothing but trash it the entire time it hurts and feels somewhat disrespectful. Just be more attentive that’s all I have to say❤️

@@hectorminator an I completely understand that, and watching your recent reaction of House of the Dragon Season 2 episode one, gave me a different take and perspective of the reactions. I completely forgot so this was my own doing, that this is a reaction of a 1 hour episode into 20 minutes. I apologize if I came off aggressive or passive aggressive it’s just every reaction seemed to be very different from other shows you react to. So I kinda thought otherwise I suppose but I realized that it is true as you say hector, a 1 hour reaction cut into 20 minutes so of course there is things and reactions we missed as opposed to following along with you guys on Patreon which I will definitely be investing in soon lol. I think King's Landing outside shots are mainly filmed in Dubrovnik in Croatia and Caceres in Spain, both cities old towns look really nice.
I miss them filming in Dubrovnik! It was the PERFECT King’s Landing.
They haven’t filmed there since season 6 of GOT, and the rumor is it’s bc a certain Cersei scene bothered the local church. But I’m sure it just as easily could have been tax breaks or other logistical reasons. But I still miss it.
I think HOTD has used Caceres exclusively for the external KL shots so far.
All the incest, vile acts of violence, plotting and bizarre fetishes of royal folks reminds me of the old Vaudeville joke “The Aristocrats”. Overall, I really liked season 1 of this show. Definitely made up for the last few seasons of G.O.T. And so far I’m digging season 2. Looking forward to your reaction to that.

BOOK FYI, The King was 25 and had a form of leprosy. Probably gotten from the cuts from the throne, the mythos of the throne rejecting the monarch.
I've read that, yeah. But the show decided to cast who they cast, and tell the story the way they wanted to, and that made King look ancient while married to a very, very young woman.
I know you guys probably don't care but it truly is kind of a bummer that you guys are just hate watching at this point. Not liking the show and lore is totally fine but why make reaction videos to something you guys clearly aren't interested in or have a passion for? Feel like you guys knew you'd do high numbers if you reacted to this and that's the only reason you're doing it.

That blade you see Aegon handling is prominent in Game of Thrones. You get more of the history behind it in the show. The history and lore of the GOT world is fascinating and very interesting.
I just wanted to comment this, King Jaehaerys Targaryen I(Viserys and Daemons Grandfather) wrote The Doctrine of Exceptionalism with the Faith of the Seven in order for the Targs incest practices to continue on. Basically King Jae said Targs got magic blood and dragons so incest can only be good for a pure line.
Also he did that in order to keep dragons in the Targaryen line, its also the reason why Rhaenys was looked over as heir to the throne.
A Targaryen married to a house second only to the kings house, with a dragon to boot too. Jae knew the 7 kingdoms would never choose a Queen and use them as proxy to avoid war or a wayward dragon disrupting Jaes 60 years of peace.
Most of the sets was in the UK at Warner bros Leavesden. 5 minutes from my house 😌 Same with season 2

The scene with the feet was sexual assault.
I think that scene paints how Alicent never has had agency over her body. She was forced to marry the king then forced to have children and now she's allowing this man to use her even when she can easily get him killed. She doesn't like resorting to violence so she's sacrificing her body.
