    Hi! I quite like this video. Can you please show us how to get to the very, very back? I can't reach it because of my cheek. Thank you!

      Hi, if your cheek is in the way, try only opening your mouth halfway, it will leave more room for your toothbrush. Here's a video showing how I brush my teeth, ruclips.net/video/LVb0vNuvrS0/видео.html

    If you have recession from agressive brushing is it adviseable to use only a ultra fine (ultra soft toothbrush) and if so I read that it doesnt remove as much plaque as traditional soft brush. I am still paranoid about touching my gums with it due to recession that is 3-4mm on 2 teeth. Should I still use the 45 degree angle you described in your tutorial? I was holding it close to gum previously and using a downward motion starting at gumline and moving away due to fear of creating more damage.
    Will a rinse like CloSys that uses stabilized chlorne dioxide be preferable to traditional mouthwashes. I am trying to mitigate the damage that has already occured. I saw your pinhole video as well. If you answer thanks in advance. Good informative video.

      Hi, recession can be caused by several different factors. A soft brush with light pressure should help prevent recession, but it can also be caused by clenching or grinding your teeth, orthodontic treatment, aggressive flossing, as well as genetics (the person is just prone to it).
      You can use either brushing technique but be sure to use a light touch when brushing.
      From what I have read so far, CloSys seems to be as effective as chlorhexidine as a mouthwash. I haven't used it personally or on my patients.

      @@VeryNiceSmileDental Thank you for answering. The recession has already occurred, I was just wanting some guidance on how to arrest the process so it doesnt go further. I use mouthwash like CloSys and also use Pro Health with cetylpyridinium chloride as the active ingedient. I alternate maybe 2 days with one and then 2 days using the other.
      I am wondering if doing that will cause further issues or mess up the tissue in long term.. I really appreciate the answer, thanks for your time doctor.

      Hi, for the recession, be mindful of how you brush and floss, and if you clench or grind your teeth, get a nightguard.
      You should be ok with the mouthwashes.

      It just takes practice. Keep working it. Push, push,push... It will come together in the end.

    When flossing, do you use the same area of the floss for the next tooth? Or do you move/re-wrap the floss?

    • @VeryNiceSmileDental
      @VeryNiceSmileDental  Год назад

      I will use the same part of the floss for a few teeth, then I usually re-wrap to floss other teeth. I made a video showing how I floss my own teeth. ruclips.net/video/RYS_GRTUwy4/видео.html You can see how I do it rather than me trying to explain it. Thank you very much for watching.

    what's your thoughts on Interdental brush?

    • @VeryNiceSmileDental
      @VeryNiceSmileDental  2 года назад +3

      They are a great tool if you have the space to use them. Don't force the brush into spaces in which it doesn't fit.

    Great video 📹 flossing no way I just use a water flosser

    • @VeryNiceSmileDental
      @VeryNiceSmileDental  2 года назад +1

      "Ideally", you should still use regular floss after using the water flosser. But, if your gums are healthy and you don't get cavities, I can't argue with the results. Thank you very much for watching.
