There's a valve where your esophagus attaches to the stomach that keeps stomach acid from leaving your stomach most of the time. I kind if wonder.... Once an astronaut comes back to earth and they try to do things.... How many times do they try putting something in the air thinking it will float like in space, just to have it hit the floor.
It's funny you say that because often when people get back from space, they often forget about gravity. So they will let go of stuff expecting it to float but ends up dropping at their feet.
Sean Guan The hot sauce they bring into orbit is for each individual alone... They're not allowed to share any foods or utensils to prevent any sicknesses from spreading. Also, it's not on the normal food menu, they automatically bring mayo, mustard, and ketchup. If an astronaut wants a particular hot sauce, they ask for it, and then the company that makes the particular sauce is contacted and asked if they will allow for the specific packaging required. Most hot sauces come in glass which is not allowed in space, also many companies package their food with certain chemicals to preserve the product, and those chemicals also can't have any chance of being released into the space station. So as long as the specific company can make the specific packaging required, each astronaut can bring their own favorite sauce with them. But not to share with others.
chris didn't actualy see it, he probably didn't even chat with them because there is a 3 hours latency on the furthest orbit. that's why it sounded so akward.

+Lobster with Mustard and Rice I wouldn't wanna do that haha. I mean it's like sitting on a plane ride for days, and once you get up there you feel terrible since all the blood is going in your head and you feel dizzy. Once you get used to it though it might be better, but it looks so uncomfortable just by looking at him.
I like space. It’s entertaining to watch people do stuff in space while i (and many others) enjoy it normally, but I have a question. How do people be comfortable in space?
In his book, Chris explains that most of their time spent on the ISS is used for upkeep and maintenance, or performing science experiments. What we see in these videos is how they spend their downtime, not how they spend all their time!
On a more serious note, the psychological welfare of astronauts on long term missions is paramount. Things like this can, not only help with publicity and good-will, but also serve a psychological purpose.
Well you'd have to stick your *cough* private part into a vacuum sucking tube as u urinate, and to poo, you have to aim perfectly otherwise you'd have a floating chocolate in the toilet... Does not sounds fun...
There is significantly more blood flowing around his head in space than there would be on Earth, due to his weightlessness and gravity not pulling it all downward. Because of this, he looks a little more red in the face and the veins near his head look a bit larger than they normally would be.

man I know that it's a hard job and stuff but being on a spacestation seems like so much fun
Josh Kent but you can make your hotdog floating in front of you!
and doing backflips while eating it!
Lobster with Mustard and Rice Yeah but after awhile like maybe a day I'll get bored and want to go home
not if you're afraid of heights XD
+Switzerland
as much as i would love to go up there
i probably cant seeing as i get seasick (which is essentially the same as "space sickness" )
*when u get an add about a master class about the guy your trying to watch*
Nullpalidan dude this is accurate

Sleepy-There are so many people like you. It just honestly makes me depressed and sad for humanity.
dont be sad bud its good that people question things. bless
As someone who absolutely detests having things on my wrist... That actually sounds like it would be thousands times more comfortable.
I like space. It’s entertaining to watch people do stuff in space while i (and many others) enjoy it normally, but I have a question. How do people be comfortable in space?
Instructions unclear. Taco didnt float
Mine float for a second then it just flops to the ground . Please help
Mitchell Cohen
Crap I missed the space station!

Burrito: AIGHT IM BOUT TO HEAD OUT
"You really miss fresh vegetables and fresh fruit"
Proceeds to eat a apple in front of him.
Did anyone else get Hungry Watching this
I did
You must be extremely hungry cause it doesnt look that great.
I always assumed that a mustache would be deadly in space, that it would float upwards and suffocate you.
yeah, if your mustache is made of cooked angel hair pasta.
...and if your mouth was dysfunctional for some reason.
Max Horowitz why does his mom have to be disfuctional ? It almost does and doesn't make since
GHARA DEATHENIAN dude, i said mouth

That piece of translucent red tape obscuring about 30% of the Apple logo was something of a token gesture.
I swear. The people in the space station look like they're having too much fun with it.
HAVE YOU SEEN THE MOVIE "GRAVITY"?! NOOOOO
In his book, Chris explains that most of their time spent on the ISS is used for upkeep and maintenance, or performing science experiments. What we see in these videos is how they spend their downtime, not how they spend all their time!
Watch 'Space Brothers'
On a more serious note, the psychological welfare of astronauts on long term missions is paramount. Things like this can, not only help with publicity and good-will, but also serve a psychological purpose.
Caitlin Irelan It's impossible to have "too much" fun while in space.
It's just hilarious how he casually just sets things down in mid air and continues working on something else. 😂
It's just hilarious how after six months in a environment he has acclimated to it
I wonder if he keeps dropping stuff on the floor when he comes back?
@sankang9425 yeah its a common thing I think. There's a video of an astronaut just dropping a pen after he got back because he expected it to float
Old McDonald had a farm but
Chris Had a field.
LOL
In Space!
My dream is to become an astronaut so i love watching these
Work for it kid, if he could, you can
you can do it mate!
@@cityfairy6342 thank you i will

Well you'd have to stick your *cough* private part into a vacuum sucking tube as u urinate, and to poo, you have to aim perfectly otherwise you'd have a floating chocolate in the toilet... Does not sounds fun...
I dont think they were talking to each other live lol
Yeah it looks a bit odd
When they are talking it looks so odd and not normal.
Ever try Video calling it’s tough enough to do that on earth. Were getting emense lag on earth imagine it in space
they're not because you can't video chat from earth to space
@@the_darkgameryt Of course you can, they did a live interview right after the crew dragon capsule docked for example.
I love Burritos
lol its just me that knows ur here
that astronaut always looks like he's thinking so hard that his head is about to explode
There is significantly more blood flowing around his head in space than there would be on Earth, due to his weightlessness and gravity not pulling it all downward. Because of this, he looks a little more red in the face and the veins near his head look a bit larger than they normally would be.
That's because in micro gravity all of the fluid in your body redistributes giving that puffed up strained appearance
+urmominabox87 yeah but he looks worse than the other astronauts. perhaps it's that his face is naturally red
+wackfree I always noticed that, I just didn't come up with such funny description :P
Did you also notice his veins are always showing in each episode
I wasn’t expecting his most excited food when he lands was gonna be fresh bread and butter but that’s awesome
8:20 I love how he does everything with surgical precision
"it's been awhile since I had fresh food"
Two men: *rubbing in his face*
Well they got jealous of chris eating a floating burrito
Scientist are trying to find life in space. I’m trying to find life in the comments.
Life
Holly Fields im trying to find a reason to live
Pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space, 'cause there's bugger-all down here on Earth.
Astronauts are doing shit !
I’m trying to find my dad
"So I'm supposed to take the bean paste, the steak, and the tortillas, and put them on the warming oven" **unlatches suit case**
I really wanna meet Chris .. he seems really nice ☺️ and friendly.
