Winston's "He ain't comin'" was priceless.
Ur getting an upvote. But only because of your Reboot logo.
They should have left that one in there.
Definitely should have been his line in the full film.
Was it really?
Oh... he'll be coming... just later on, and not with those three.
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate Ernie Hudson? That dude has the fountain of youth locked up in his crib I swear. Dude looked younger in this film than the first 😂
Amazing what growing one's hair out and shaving can do
@@fredcasdensworld Staches definitely age some people. Aykroyd had one during the '70s sometimes and looked older then than he did in GB2.
Black doesn't crack
I've always preferred Winton's GB2 look, it suits him. And to think, Hudson almost went into this role again bald! He revealed this was how he looked when cast and not because of his RGB character. In GBA, I'm glad they went with a half and half look: mustache returns with a little salt in the hair.
Yes, looks like 10 years younger in GB2. Same was the case with John Oates from Hall & Oates. Shaved off the mustache in the mid-90s and in their '97 return album Marigold Sky (great album, by the way), looked super young. God bless, Hudson. He's a good man.
"Why would you want to be a Ghostbuster when you're already an accountant?". I love her character, so great!
I love that Janine is okay with Slimer hanging around. It's a lot like the cartoon that way.
Maybe it was a "you don't bother me, I won't bother you" situation?
@@GabePuratekuta they should have made the second them training slimer--and trying to rehabilitate ghosts.
@@PioneerGrrrl Slimer should've helped defeat Vigo.
@@jedijones this is in between the cartoons timeline
I hope both Winston and Slimer have a more expanded part in the sequels. And I hope they bring back the original Slimer model because he's getting progressively worse in design.
I don't care what people say. GB2 is an underrated classic!
GB2 is an outright classic. In a league of its own.
I still prefer it to the first one.
Agreed
Exactly.
Agreed; I actually liked it better than the first.
Winston's "He ain't commin'" line, lol. They should have kept that in the used scene.
I think the scene where Jack is killed by the slime definitely deserved to make the final cut
Vigo’s version of the blob who ate everybody XD
I like it better that he sings at the end together with the crowd. This way there is more catharsis in the end and I think there should be a well-made catharsis in the end of each movie.
Deleted scenes that are still unseen to the public: Ray getting possessed and driving the Ecto 1 until it crashes, ALL Of the Louis/Slimer deleted scenes, Eugene Levy as Louis’s cousin Sherman, the ending with the guys talking about where their ancestors came from at the Statue of Liberty re opening celebration, the “Frog Ghost” deleted scene where a giant ghost scares some subway passengers, the extended Jewelry Store sequence, the ORIGINAL version of the Vigo showdown before reshoots, the Original WORLD of the psychic sequence before reshoots
This makes wonder why they hold back these deleted scenes instead of releasing them all together.
@@nickbaxter874 to make more money when they re-release them on 4k for another with some of those scenes included kinda like what they did with the Fort Detmerring footage and the other new deleted scenes in the last GB 4K Blu-ray release last year
Lol, they included that possessed Ray driving the Ecto 1 in the comic adaptation.
Dang, I want to see ALL of those! Are they available anywhere?
Nick Baxter - Usually it’s because the raw footage no longer exists. A lot of these scenes were cut up and used in the musical montage, and it’s possible the deleted footage was thrown away when they were done. Before DVDs, special features, and Making Of documentaries, studios rarely kept unused footage.
Have you ever heard the expression “left on the cutting room floor“? That’s not just a euphemism, it’s literally what they used to do. They would cut the footage, throw it on the floor, and the janitor would sweep it up at the end of the day.
Release the possessed Ray driving the Ecto scene! And the ending Liberty Island scene!!!
I wonder if it even exist.
@@animechic420 it does we see part of it in the montage and in some of adverts too promote coca cola & ghostbusters 2 release, uses some footage from that cut scene which did not make the film. The advert is on here ruclips.net/video/qA2I6PiGxLc/видео.html
This. Forever this.
People have been looking for this for a while. It's in the dang Ghostbusters II coloring book! Let's get it in motion. Also makes the possession at the end make sense too
This only ever happened in the comic. There’s no footage of that scene anywhere 🤷♂️
They should have included the Louis scene in the final cut, it helps to understand better why he ends up wearing the Ghostbuster suit and going to the rescue like that, because he actually wanted to become one!, and this is not shown in the final cut, what a shame ....
I agree, and it also adds to his underdeveloped relationship with Janine. Janine looks like a horndog later on because they've barely interacted.
The scene when Venkman answers the door. He was dancing just prior to that in the same outfit, which was a scene used in the credits to “On Our Own.”
I noticed that they GB 2 almost seems to be like a live action version of the cartoon in a way, where Janine had reddish hair, Winston was shaven and Slimer was shown to be more harmless, even to the point where Janine is not worried about him. And he even helps Louis out a little as well. I guess it makes sense since the cartoon was made before this movie and was still going on while this was made, so they want to capitalize on that. xD Even though it is still darker and more mature than the cartoon.
It was PG in 89
the movie , cartoon, and merchandise launch were all meant to be intertwined. GB2 was meant to be more child friendly.
@@elliotnewellit really was. I didn't realize it before.
3:12 Would've been the best "Damn bro. You got the whole squad laughing." Meme.
That second scene I feel, comically worked better than the one they actually used in the film..
Especially Winston's dead pan, "he ain't comin'"
But bad timing
They should make an extended cut with these deleted scenes, for the first two movies. Ghostbusters II, in particular!
Exactly.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. I have the Ghostbusters 2 on DVD and it says "124 minutes."☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Justin Felton my copy of Ghostbusters II says it has 104 minutes, but i would still kill for a “Re-Slimed” cut of GBII or even the first movie!
@@wilbourke4188 Right. I can't wait to see the Re-slime cut of the film.💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Sure, but the one scene where they try to get Peter to come with them they just reshot it and used the one in the street, that one was better and funnier than the one in the apartment. My opinion. But the other 2 sure they can try to fit it in some how, but those may not fit in the movie.. there are reasons they delete scenes.. lol just saying 😁
1:06 - 2:17 I'd like to think that this scene shows the realism of Bill Murray avoiding being apart of Ghostbusters franchise by not telling Dan or Harold directly, just excuses. Classic Murray style.
We need extended cuts of BOTH films!
Ghostbusters II is one of the most underappreciated sequels in history
Oh yeah!
I loved it as a kid. It's a lot slower and more subdued than the raw feeling in the original and I wasn't too keen on Janine's portrayal with her and Tully, but it's still a damn good sequel. I love that it kind of works with the cartoon. The 2008's video game as the third sequel is also a great addition.
2>1
Same with The Lost World Jurassic Park.
@@IronMan-tk8uc You on your own on that one 😅. The first movie is just so damn good. I thinjk the 2nd was the very beginning of Spielberg's decline.
That was great. These scenes give the fans a chance to see the cast, sets, filming etc like how they remember it and would like it.
“Well Lenny, this is a big one.”
Winston looks so much younger in Ghostbusters II.
It's funny how when Aykroyd had a stash in the 1970s, he also looked older than he did in GB1.
@@jedijones Ernie Hudson shaved his mustache in 1987 and regained it in 1992
_"Deleted Scenes You Haven't Seen"_
I have definitely seen all of these. You see, while you were partying, I studied the proton pack.
I haven't seen these yet, but im glad i saw them today
Is this on the Blu-ray version of this movie?.
@@diannemoriarty1549 Yes. There was a GB 1 and 2 Bluray gift set that was released a few years back that included them.
@@diannemoriarty1549
Although I wouldn’t be surprised if you missed out on it. It sold out pretty quickly, and I don’t think they ever rereleased it. I was lucky enough to get my hands on it, but aside from a few previously unreleased deleted scenes (like these), there wasn’t much there I didn’t already have.
Holy cow - amazing footage, thanks for posting these!
I always love Janine! So dang much! What a PHENOMINAL actress!!!
Who wouldn't be? She did Bo Peep in Toy Story 1 & 2.
These deleted scenes are amazing. I would have loved to have seen a Louis Tully spin-off of him training with Slimmer. I didn't know Jack dies in the film.
Jack doesn't die, but this scene explains why we see him at the end covered in slime.
That was in the script
Keep it coming, all this unseen footage is gold :D
The scene with Moranis is fantastic!! Thanks a lot!!
I love it!!! If ya got more than please give us more!!!! I have no idea when this Afterlife movie is coming but I'm at peak hype, and have been for several weeks!! Must sustain the hype!
Get that slimer! It's awesome to see these unique and fun moments that weren't included in our second New York saving adventure. Stay safe everyone!
thanks for the video. this brings back memories.
TY for those, made my night.
3:00 when he said it’s the 20th century, I felt that.
That last one I haven't seen, thank you Jason for sharing!
HAROLD RAMIS REST IN PEACE
I agree absolutely underrated nicely done guys
cool i love the classic movie i love ghostbusters 1 and 2 im excited for ghostbusters afterlife
I’m excited for that movie too.
Good seeing these. They were all in my real ghostbusters in ghostbusters 2 comic book!
This was amazing
Its always nice to see more of the Ghostbusters.
What a pleasant surprise to discover that there is a Ghostbusters channel on youtube :)
Just plain awesome.
These scenes are awesome!
They all should have been in. The movie especially the last one still ive seen them all before and theres still unseen deleted scenes like the ecto 1a crash and many more from Ghostbusters 2 wich we know about but havent seen yet
i would love too see a directors cut of Ghostbusters 2
aburrows2008 *Directors cut.
I agree. The one with Louis and Janine just needed a few more takes to be put in and finished post effects. Same with the last one with the mayor.
Great stuff 😃
I was distracted trying to see more of the 1A message board in the extended “outside the museum” scene. The message board has such smooth animations
Was disappointed that egon never ended up with jeannie and im sure in the cartoons they were
That's because Louis Tully ended up with Janine.
In the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon they were together but that the cartoon so the storyline is different from the movie like all movie based cartoons.
In The Real Ghostbuters she pines for him. He shows he cares, but they never really get together. She makes a pact with a witch that explains her drastic change in appearance and voice (they lose her Brooklyn accent) over the course of the seasons, and then they free her near the end of the run, and she and Egon watch a sunrise together.
Night-X i wouldn’t say they were together she was still working with him when egon started the first class.
But both the cartoon series are conflicting, could egon have had her sure but egon was very dedicated to his work he was like Captain Kirk minus the hooking up part but if we ever get to see ghostbusters afterlife we see that he did have a family life.
I’m sure there are many who still want to see afterlife as the third cannon ghostbusters movie.
I wouldn't want Egon to end up with this horny little cartoon character they turned Janine into lol she was kind of a resting bitch face snarkass in the original movies
Excellent
That was awesome 👌 👏 😎 🙌
That Louis part is hilarious “my training is secret”
“He ani’t coming” Oh Egon.
That was Winston, but yeah... Roach problem vs Dinner with Dana. Not a difficult decision xD
@@TheRealThunder But they even brought Venkman a rubber suit! lol
@@TheHylden When your date looks that fine, there's only one kind of "rubber suit" that you want to put on, and it's not the one they brought.
Thank you Jason Reitman
The first one would've been nice to have in the movie. I feel we didn't get a lot of the firehouse in the movie. The second one seemed to be partially phoned in by Murray, but that Winston line is great. I think the way they did the last scene in the film was better as well
Phoning it in, was kinda Venkmans main Character Trait.
I've seen all those, but fun to watch none the less.
Egon's smirk at the end? Priceless
Amazing! It would be awesome if the released a version of both movies with all of the extras along with the theatrical release of GB3.
You mean GB4. GB3 is the video game.
0:44
Louis : I'm like the 5th ghostbusers
Janine: Why would you want to be a ghostbuster if you're already an accountant?
I'm glad they changed a few scenes and deleted some. For the better 😊 love these classics.
"He aint comin' " was a great line by Winston!
1:36 I've never heard someone more sarcastically excited about roach breeding. That should have been the final cut instead of what they went with.
I'm so going to buy this on Blu-ray
Good video
I wish they did more with the bit in the jewellery shop in the montage, that looked cool as heck😂
I wouldn't mind a Ghostbusters 3 where Rick Moranis takes Harold Ramis' place with the rest of the original cast.
Man I would give anything to see GB3 with that cast. Not anything but probably $700 to kickstarter for that cast, a great script and 90% practical effects.
@@scotthall7585 it would be a great tribute to Ramis.
That first clip of Moranis. Hahaha
The scene with the Ghostbusters at the door is just comedy gold.
Wow. Consider me surprised. The first time a video says I haven't seen something that I actually haven't seen. Well played.
The latter scene was in the GB2 coloring book! It's strange to see that this book was actually right :D
I wish they had kept these deleted scenes in Ghostbusters 2! They are really great especially the part with Janine and Louis and Slimer! 😂😍😘🤗✌🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️👏👻
I love the Slimer scene!
Number one with a bullet, truly a great movie with a cool soundtrack. Ghostbusters rule!👻💯💀👀 Both 1and2
The FX should be completed and the scenes should be added into a new cut of the film for a BluRay release. The film is decent but with obvious missing scenes and a rushed ending, it was a disappointment when compared to the perfection of the original. All these years later, seeing this, is proof an excellent Ghostbusters 2 could still exist. Sony: hire me! I've spent my life studying, sharing, writing, directing and editing films and videos which was all spawned from my love of Ghostbusters as a child.
3:36 Egon's face says it all
3:20 It's pretty telling of how everyone felt about that guy when not even the mayor shed a tear or expressed any shock upon his death and just stood there with this expression like "Oh, well....." 🤷
I got to see one of the test screenings as a teen. The test screening I seen had the Dana scene in and had a few different Louis and Slimer scene but not this one. I seem to remember the Peter and Dana dinner scene being longer the in the film release.
Pretty sure all this was on one of the Blu Rays. Still, awesome.
Bellissimo ❤
I heard that comic actor and SCTV alumni Eugene Levy was in Ghostbuster 2 and his scene was deleted. Somewhere, it claimed that he played Sherman Tully, Louis' brother I believe. I hope we get a chance to see it sometime in the future.
It's cute when Janine says that Slimer "is alright".
I like the scene with Tully trying to catch slimer. It's funny to me for a couple reasons, one being it shows they planned a plot for the films universe that would be shared with the cartoons, being Slimer is generally accepted around the firehouse (by all but Peter I would guess) It's also funny because Tully was attempting to wrangle and catch Slimer without a ghost trap so unecessarily frying parts of the firehouse to accomplish nothing.
Wait. These are on the blu ray. I’ve totally seen this. Where are all the other deleted scenes? Where are the deleted scenes with 100% finished ILM effects?
Love the GB
I want this!!!! all of this back in the film now!!!!
2:26 That part of that scene of the mayor was at the end of the movie at the cast credits
That “Hello Peter” made me laugh
"Dana" looks stunning in that dress! He definitely ain't commin' haha!
Woooow
Glad they left these out of it.
i think all of them should have made the final cut! if they got some better editing and special effects
Janine: Oh him? He's alright.
His name is Slimer! Call him by his name!
The extreme increase in Janine's hotness from the first to the second movie must always be appreciated.
Great alternate takes. Thanks for the post. The going to dinner scene has better writing than original scene. But it's shot ackward and the timing is slow. Would have done another take with everyone having they dialogue a little more snappy
I think that's why the original scene in the film was more snappy, because the "women" line from Venkman was said just after Dana left to catch a cab.
@@GenGamesUniverse much more snappy in the one that made the cut for the film very true. If the pacing was better her they may have kept it. But the director must of asked for more energy with the cab
Winston like the damn sewer and egon like oh yea, the sewer lol
2:18 Hey! What are you doing here? The mayor fired you. Remember?
Already seen all these lol.
I started giggling when they just all appeared at Peter's apartment and went "Hello, Peter"
Ohhh those were some funny scenes😩
I bet it was due for reducing the time limit
of the movie? I think? Kinda like
For Batman v Superman?
I like how she defends slimmer I would too
The Mayor was like “huh, he’s idiot.”
And a idiot you no longer have to deal with anymore.🤗
Yeah, it made more sense to just kick him out entirely and fire him, not have him tag along here to do this dumb stunt, but it's a funny alternative scene.
@@TheHylden A untimely death might not be best in movie that involves the dead coming back to the world of the living.
@@night-x6793 Yup, I would not want to see ghost Hardemeyer coming back to annoy. Although, busting him as a ghost would be double the revenge on him.
@@TheHylden It would interesting to see that but to pull that one off they would need to him kill in the beginning to the middle of the movie because it wouldn't make sense to have him dead close to the end of the movie like that.
Not trying to down side the idea but every story needs certain things to work out.
You can instantly tell why these are DELETED SCENES
Funny video 😂
