Just as a quick note, you're all still the best, and I appreciate you all for watching/listening! I wanted to do another chaos incursion video, and at the same time, to do one which wasn't based on existing lore, so this one is a fun little original story, so you won't find any further references to it in the official GW lore! There are dozens of little parts of this that I'd have liked to have expanded upon, like with the Alpha Legion visit, or of the relations between the planetary governors and of the undersea citizens, but I didn't want the video to end up too long, so it's slightly truncated from my full idea. But maybe one day I'll write this up into a more complete story, in which case I'd still just post it up somewhere (perhaps not as a video since it wound be hours and hours long), but I did really enjoy writing this, and I hope you all enjoy it as well!
Yeah, I’d agree. I listen to this at work or while cleaning at home. I wouldn’t mind if they were long, so long as they weren’t at a length that’d make my phone glitch out and forget where I am on the videos or something like that.
This one was great. I always had trouble imagining how Tzeench influence would actually operate in practice. If you make a video that is hours and hours long, I will watch it! Thanks for all your work.
Much better than that Imperial Iterator channel that is ripping off your style. Their scripts are AI generated in addition to the voice, which is really obvious when compared to your good scripts.
Thanks, I appreciate it. But yeah there's lots of AI channels which seem to just churn out as much content as possible, without caring too much for the final quality, which is a shame, but I suppose it was inevitable that it would happen.
Just make sure to use it correctly. Pelagic refers to anything in the main water column. If you are referring to something on or near the sea floor then its not Pelagic but Benthic. Most people will not care to be fair, I am a marine Biologist though, so am a little more picky when it comes to the use of those terms :)
@alganhar1 oh snap the marine biologist is here! You'd better get your phrases right! Does this water world seem possible to you? Shouldn't the crushing depths have killed them all?
Even though it was the decreed procreation event mandated by the planetary government, I said "do not approach me with your womanly ways by The Emperor! Can't you hear The Scholar is broadcasting?!"
@@Scholarslore perhaps a meeting with one of the more influential members of the Adeptus Mechanicus, Terran Lords or even the Inquisitorial Corps might get your sermons broadcast on the Universalis galaxy-wide vox broadcast service! I definitely enjoyed this one thank you A Very impressive, i am a big fan of Lovecraftian horror, the added elements of it here got me smiling warmly, i think i recognised more than a few of the mythology, Cthulhu definitely, hastur the king in yellow, the dagon. That was great with the setting of the scene yet to come like a chapter or phase now finished to a grand scheme in motion Cheers heaps 👍👍
Thanks, I really appreciate it. I wanted to do some oceanic content recently, and as the story progressed, it felt very natural to make it more and more lovecraftian. If I had more time to work on this (or if I was writing it as a full book), then I'd have leaned really heavily into the abyssal horror elements, but I'm glad that you liked it!
@@Scholarslore you're a great writer I think this would have taken a bit of time with how well it comes together. You have a great nack to capturing the imagination I think Thanks the oceanic civilisation setting was a nice change of atmosphere too.
Havent been early to one of these in some time. Just wanted to say I loved your recent video about Mars servitors. 4AM when i first started watching this....looks like i'll be staying up...til 5:30!
Cthulhu, Dagon, Hastur, and Judge Dread, two great tastes that do work well together. The rather sad part is that Eidothea had it been upkept and expanded upon in a more organic and environmentally friendly manner (slower expansion). Especially if other planets and asteroids contained water. The excess salt being used for other items, too.
Some nice agents of the Inquisition came to visit, and told me they'll be giving me some nice new augments, a total refit! So excited, but before they do the work just wanted to say: Nice job Scholar! This was a great sermon!
Haven’t heard from you for awhile, brother. As soon as I saw the video I know I’m in for a good time downloading for work tomorrow. Hope all is well? 💯🇬🇧❤️
Ah always good to have you back, hopefully this'll be a nice story to listen to. But yeah I'm good, very busy irl at the moment though, so doing these vids is a nice reprieve for me. Hope you're doing well too
I’m new here, is this one of those ai voices or is it real? anyway, this reminds me of when I was young and heard Stephen Fry I believe it was reading Harry Potter audiobooks ✌🏻
It's AI. Is used to be Davin Attenborough's voice but had to dropped due to legal issues. This new one was created though sadly all of the previous videos using the first voice had to be removed.
This...this is beautiful. 👌 I prefer stories, even though I watch and enjoy them, if I see another video explaining the Ultramarines, or Custodes, I'll lose my mind. 😂
Thank you very much! I will do some more marine lore at some point, in fact I was doing a Tyranid vid for next week, and I was referencing the Ultramarines so much that its made me think of doing a full vid for them
The one thing that bugs he about this entire story: “Ugh, it’s such a pain to do maintenance work on the undersides of our floating colonies! All this salt is doing too much damage to our machinery! >:( “ “Let’s submerge our colonies fully underneath this salty ocean! :D “
I don't know if any other comments have said this, but you do so well with the voices! Fantastic hearing the variety and seeing you experiment with new ones. Another marvellous video, I always get excited when I see your videos pop up in my feed! :)
I am but a neophyte, not overly familiar with the deep lore, but it intrigues me. Perhaps the Emperor will bless me with a mental fortitude to necessary to steel myself for this knowledge. The Emperor Protects.
I appreciate that you put the ads at the end of the vid. I think it makes people appreciate them more, since we made it that far in the first place. It is the only kind of ad I will usually listen to, in its entirety.
It's funny how many see the murderous mayhem of Khorn to be brutal, or the sometimes slow wasting of Nurgle to be insidious... But no one holds a candle to just how demented and vile the Lord of Change can be to mortals.
One thing i cant quite wrap my mind around: who or what was Uros Valdovas? He became the vessel for the lord of change. But what was his origin and how did he become this Envoy of Tzeentch? Was he in on the plan or is he just as tragic as everyone else? He was obviously given dark gifts, but to what end did he know of his place in all of this?

I came looking for heretics, but found good lore
Plenty of heretics pop up later on in this story 👀

The word of the day is: pelagic.
just searched up on the script, and I used it 26 times, perhaps I should have used a different word a few times 😅
