  • Disassembly Repair Fix Tutorial Teardown Guide This is a liquid spill repair. The customer spilled beer inside the laptop. The power button board had a lot of corrosion on it. Cleaning the board was able to get it working again.

    I watched your fan repair attempt with the Lenovo C740-15iml and wanted to confirm that the fan on the 14iml will also be unrepairable? My fan sounds like it’s grinding even though I cleaned it out throughly (I took the top casing on the fan off and removed all the lint and blew it out that way too)

      I have the same model and had the same issue. It sounded awful! I bought a verified used fan and heatsink assembly on bay (I suspect just the fan wouldn't have solved problem), and replaced it using this video. Now my laptop is working normally again. So happy!

    C740 15.6" will not recognize hard disk. Unplugged the battery, drained phantom and unplugged and replugged the ssd. Same black screen with white non flashing cursor. Did the ssd die or might it be related to bios? Do you have related video? Thanks.

      If you used the wrong charger, the motherboard is likely dead. :(

    Hey! I bought this laptop secondhand recently and it has been plaguing me with almost daily BSOD's. Either critical process died or windows store exception. Then immediately after BSOD it gives me the boot recovery window and that it can't find any boot drives. I then have to press the power button and it boots normally. I tried a fresh install, updated bios, ran chkdisk, sfc scannow, driver update, etc. I'm thinking it's a faulty hard drive (the nvme m2). Any other component you think could be causing the issue? The only thing I haven't run so far is a memtest. I'm not sure what to do if the RAM is faulty since it's soldered in there as you showed in your video

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  2 года назад

      Try memtest. If faulty you'll need a new motherboard :(

    First I bought a new charger which worked for a day or so and then the battery started to drain again. So I bought a new battery. I just put it in and it showed that it was charged to 70%. And it's been draining ever since. It's now down to 50% after just one hour. I installed all upgrades. Now what? The charger is compatible with the computer and with a new battery it should be fine but it's not.

    funny, how this guy dismounts everything useless. Go nearby with a vacuum cleaner, and all dust will disappear. By unplugging every connection, you run more in the risk to get dust there, where you don't want have it. Take a 1.5" brush and a hose with a hoover and dismount the fan to clean the heatsink. That is the thing that really matters.

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  2 года назад +1

      @@RFDlic the point is to show how to disassemble the laptop and other internal components, not just clean the fan. A lot of people don't know that if you pull up the heatsink you'll have to redo the thermal paste. Most people won't have thermal paste on hand if their only goal is to clean the dust out of the fan. They might as well just blow air into the vent if they want the easy way If they pull the heatsink off, clean the fan, and then reassemble without redoing the thermal paste, they'll likely have a worse heat issue.
      If all I did was remove the heatsink, then people won't get to see how to remove the motherboard. Heatsink removal is very easy, but again, they'll have to clean and redo the thermal paste. There's no need to show heatsink removal on a laptop. It's pretty much the same on almost every single model.
