This, the Tonewood amp, and the Yamaha TA series... I think we're on the cusp of some exciting new developments in acoustic pickups and amplification. Cool demo, Fluff!
This is the best resonance pickup. I have compared it with others and this one sounds more natural and gives much more volume to the sound of the guitar. easy to install. And the sound effects are very good quality.
I really want this. I find it funny that the AcousticFex Go is about the same cost as the OrangeWood guitar you've got it in though but it sounds fantastic.
As a non permanent pickup system it sounds better than a lot of built in ones that add a couple hundred to the guitar. Never mind the fx this is a great pickup. Fx are only so so as a bonus.
Not digging the reverb but the delay and chourous are awesome and the pickup plugged in sound was also awesome and you do not have to permantly install👍
The Yamaha guitars amplify the effect a little better than what was captured but the fact that this is smaller and less obtrusive than the Tonewood amp makes it seem that more of these devices are in the horizon. Great demo.
Old video but does it require the plug end to be drilled in the guitar or only if you want to plug in to an amp ? I'd prefer no wires hanging out or drilling through my Gibson? Thanks
@@kevinwelch92 DAMMIT hahah I swore it was a Brand New song but went through most of their stuff on my Spotify but skipped over Deja Entendu because I thought I knew every song on that album well enough that I'd know it if it was on it lol
Someone told me that the Acoustifex Go dampens the tone of the guitar because it's weight prevents a nice vibration of the top tonewood. Anyone has the Acoustifex installed on somewhat higher end guitars who can offer some insights on this matter? I have a really nice solid Koa body with Adirondack spruce top and am planning to install the Acoustifex Go on it (but without the preamp jack because I don't intend to plug in this guitar at all)
Yes, this doesn’t seem to compare with tonewood amp. But if you have an acoustic without a pickup this could work... and the you put a tonewood amp on it... 😂
Tonewood requires to have a battery powered pickup installed in your guitar. Acoustifex doesn't need it couse its magnetic. Plus, if you compare the vibration transducers, the one used in the tonewood is smaller.
Yep way back but you cannot add it to the guitar and theres no delay . Although since its custom made firbthevguitar it sounds better and is much simpler and cleanly installed already.
My acoustic already has massive distortion. Because the neck is wonky, the ribs inside are cracked, the but and saddle are worn af and the frets are scratched to hell.
I have this unit on both my Taylor acoustics, and use the Xvive U2 wireless guitar system , works a treat + I have tried the Tonewood amp and the Yamaha Transacoustic, but the Kempa tops them both.
@@Tigerex966 I found the tonewood amp, an obstrusive lump at the back of the guitar, though the sound was decent, and it was very fiddly to make any changes between songs, the yamaha was ok, but not as versatile as the Kempa, which you can install onto any guitar, and it doesn't have to be permenant.. having tried the three, the Kempa does it for me
That Brand New song took me back...

Got Me Wrong!!! Totally underrated song 1:45
I played a guitar with this kind of thing built in recently; not sure of the maker but it absolutely blew my mind.

I love the 'Got Me Wrong' snippet at 1:46!
I like the baggs pickups for acoustic guitars. I also think the Taylor es2 is pretty ok too.

Is this only for strumming? Seems like it would get in the way whilst finger picking?
Do a mic review: the LCT 640 TS
Plus: do a versus between acousticflex and tonewoodamp

You should try the tonewood amp. It is amazing!
Did you just play a brand new song at 3:00 lol
Not digging the reverb but the delay and chourous are awesome and the pickup plugged in sound was also awesome and you do not have to permantly install👍
This is cool. I definitely prefer to use my effects from a pedal chain.

What song are you playing at 0:40?
What song are you playing at 3:00? I know I know it and its killing me not being able to figure it out.
Chad Tippett I have heard many songs with that progression. Don't think he was specifically playing a song
Sounds like the boy who blocked his own shot by brand new
@@kevinwelch92 that's what I was thinking

0:50 song name pls ?
You should try the new Yamaha guitars with built in chorus and reverb
I believe it's a similar concept
Yamaha's Way too expensive for what it does. This device sells for $90 on Ali and takes 30 mins or less to install. Piece of piss
It sounds much much better if u attach the transducer in the top plate of the guitar. Sounds more clear .
Yamaha makes a guitar with this built in already. It's got 3 buttons. It's super cool
Clean tone mafia where u at?
1:46 Alice in chains. Got me wrong... Sounds nice!!!

Eh, tonewoodamps are cooler, simpler to install and sound better imo. Check them out fluff.
It's also only 50 bucks more
Considering Tonewood has like a fuck ton more effects like delay (and even OD lmao) it's waaaaay better

Seriously though tonewood amp is magical.

Totally agree...having to stick your fingers through the strings to make changes and adjustments doesn’t work for me.
Pretty kool but, the ToneWood co. also has one for about $50 more with more effects. Can u do a demo for this unit Senór Fluff?
But no Mic/magnetic pickup.
That alone will add $200.
Except if your scoudtic already has electric
I would love to see this in a 12-string guitar. :D
I’m glad everyone’s noticing the boy who blocked his own shot. Glad I’m not alone😅
this demo definitely made me less sad ;)
Brand new 🤘
Anyone experience comparing these to the Yamahas?
Woah, that's very cool, never thought I needed it, now I want one...
didn't yamaha do something similar a few years ago?
Yep way back but you cannot add it to the guitar and theres no delay .

I told you to buy a Martin instead of a Gibson. lol
So how does it work without pluging in? Does it have a speaker built into it that is playing the effects?
The transducer on the inside back of the guitar.
Sounds good, but I still don’t know why you’d want to do onboard effects in lieu of pedals.
No wires just you and the guitar anywhere.
Also ig you have a pure acoustic this adds a pretty decent sounding pickup
Hey Fluff Great Video! Your a pretty cool guy 😎
Nice
Today on immerse beards and gear
TIL that Fluff has an acoustic guitar. (And a clean tone.)
Well, Thats kinda cool!
I got mine from China for $80, and it’s a game changer. I don’t think I can ever go back to not having this.
I always just plugged my acoustic electric into my fx unit...
..I go into Bias FX with my acoustic, w/ a Fishman pickup..no need...but cool toy! \,,,/
Nice Brand New song :)
Brand New damn
Well well well
This would be cooler if it were Bluetooth then I wouldn't have to have any wires. It could bluetooth to a receiver that you could plug into an amp.
I have this unit on both my Taylor acoustics, and use the Xvive U2 wireless guitar system , works a treat + I have tried the Tonewood amp and the Yamaha Transacoustic, but the Kempa tops them both.
Bluetooth lowers sound quality substantially and brings in unwanted latency and adds battery drain.
Maybe Wi-Fi or 2.5ghz
@@donaldmorrison2833 in what way foes it top them?

You can leave your metal card at the door!
Video preceded by Tonewood Amp add. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
Ñisssssssssce 🎸
Its sad that it does not have a stereo output.. Pickup quality is also not good
He has the grandpas guitars
Tonewood sounds way better but this thing is cool.
