@@Preston_M. Huge question, if anyone knows... What is the word on this vs the tonewood? Pros and cons? If someone is going to spend the money, I see this as better than the tonewood....but what is the final words by users? Anywhere there is a comparison? I dont really like how the tonewood mounts, etc...
@@jeremycbarnhart2305 I have TWA and when I first got couldn't live without it. I also pickup the Flatsons which is similar to the Kempa but 1/3 of the cost. I love it. The TWA is awesome as well but again 1/2 the cost of the Flatsons. The only draw back is clipping at above average levels which I picked up a 5watt 4ohm speaker that I'm planning to replace.
The magnetic pick-up requires metal strings, the built-in microphone doesn't. If you should want to amplify a guitar with nylon strings, then you might be better off with a cheap acoustic pick-up, either an adhesive (permanent!) one or one clamped through the sound hole. (In the latter case, do observe the direction of the cable, as some models have the cable entering the device the clumsy way around.)
How do you know that. Ex-Tonewood user here who found it unwieldy to use and I'm curious about this one. Have you compared then side by side in the same guitar?
Tonewood puts a controller box on the back of the guitar using a magnetic grid mounted on the inside. If you have any kind of implanted medical device such as a pacemaker or ICD, Tonewood recommends that you NOT use one!!!!
This is the coolest and craziest thing I have ever seen for an acoustic guitar. Can't wait to have real effects in my guitar without plugging it in.
The original is the TWA (Tonewood Amp)

This is a great way to stand out in an acoustic jam. Sounds great and won't mess up my old D-28. Glad i found this pickup/FX unit.
OK, this sold me
How does it compare to the Tone Wood model that does about the same thing?
What does the phase button do?
it's a great tool but I have an unwanted feedback problem. Is there a way to fix that please ?
Turn the MIC down. Or reposition the internal speaker (transmitter, exciter, actuator, whatever you call it) further away from the MIC.
How is the quality of the g8x vs tone wood amp and transacoustic?
Thanks
Where does the unit connect when plugged in?
can this be installed on nylon strings?
Hey, can we put Kepma Acoustifex Go pickup on an electro acoustic guitar?
Thankyou
Does this work with classical guitars?

this is Double's Go pick up right, nothing related to kepma.
Anyone have this yet that can give some assessment?
Would it work on Banjo or mando?
$200 is quite high.
lol they copied it from the enya ne-g0 that came out first
Price same ?
Tonewood Amp is far superior.

Tonewood is kinda meh... to be honest.
Tonewood is too complicated
Twa has so many options that can take your creativity to a whole other level. Yes, more complicated but well worth the learning .
