Thanks a lot! I liked the IR part. I just started with an empty IR on my Pod GO. I recommend the Wireless POD GO, it works perfect also with acoustic guitar.
Trey! I downloaded your free go acoustic patch and my acoustic has never sounded better through the Pod Go! Thank you so much for this video and the free patch.
Dude! Thank you, when you pulled out your Keisel I found what I was looking for! I clicked way too many "pod go acoustic" videos before I clicked on yours. This is going to transform the sound of my PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo.
Electric with Acoustic IR definitely sounds better than a dry piezo. I use acoustic IR's in my Mooer GE200. Sounds really cool using 3 Sigma Audio's mandolin IR's and capoing up an acoustic 12-string guitar.
Excellent video! I already had a decent acoustic patch in my Pod Go but this helped me tweak it to be even better - particularly the tip about the compressor for fingerstyle :).
This is an amazing video! Having just got a Pod GO for my electric, I had no serious thought about playing the acoustic thru it too. Wow. Mind expanded. Thank you!!!
I play live acoustic all the time. The IEM sound of a piezo always sounded horrible to me and I've been on a personal crusade to get a better sound running back into my ears. I started out loading IR's into a Mooer Radar. Later I got the Helix stomp. IR blocks and mixing in the original sound is a great option like you mentioned. I've found splitting the signal like some people do with bass guitar and processing the low end works great on the hx stomp. That way I can also mix the low and high in the stereo field to simulate the guitar (low on one end and high on the other). This can't be done on the pod go. But it's way cheaper, I think if I had come a bit later to the party I would have got this unit. So much more user friendly for stupid easy guitar players :) Another great tool for shaping acoustic sounds is a Mic pre block set to Line level.
You can also make your acoustic sound like a classical guitar without any amp. Simply thread an old earphone cable or even a shoelace through the strings at the bridge.
My Shecter C-1 E/A has the piezo, and I blend it with the neck humbucker and an IR, and it's pretty interesting. More acoustic than the piezo alone, but without the way over-brightness that particular piezo has. I use the ducking reverb so that I can have the mix up for the tails but it doesn't get annoying while I'm playing.
Is that the LL-TA? Absolutely beautiful instrument. I regret returning my old one a few years back haha Purchased a new FS3 tho and putting a clear pickguard in it so I can pretend I have it back
Honestly I prefer the original sound of your plugged in guitar just adding EQ compression and fx Either with a mixer or DAW. I love the natural “bourbon” sound of quality acoustic guitars plugged in
I really want to see a demo of this unit in context with a professional mix. Maybe some tight heavy tones that you would use for metal core or prog or something. I'm sure this thing sounds amazing for that kind of stuff but I haven't seen anybody demonstrate how good this is for the big chugs. Could you guys maybe do something like that? Just a suggestion, I really wanna see how it sounds with something like that.
What model Yamaha Guitar is that? I've got the FG5 and it's not gloss finish, but satin. Is that solid wood? Spruce top, redwood back & sides? Does anyone know? "LSTR" - not seen that model this side of the pond (i.e. Europe)
Great video. It looks like your electric has a Tremelo as well as piezo. Do you have any problems with the wires when getting aggressive with the trem? I been considering a Floyd Rose by GraphTech but can't find any reviews in English.
Hello, downloaded the GoCoustic and it keeps cutting in and out. Do I need something else? It says IR associated with the IR block could not be found. Could I get some help please. Thank you
If you’re going direct, it doesn’t really matter what the guitar is, unless it has some kind of on-board processing like the Fishman Aura system, then it probably needs it
Hi, I gave it a try and I got this when I installed it or every time I reopen my pod go on the IR: "The IR associated with the IR block within this preset could not be found in the Impulse Library." Do you know what this may be? I don't see any names associated with the IRs as you have on this video, maybe it's just different versions of the firmware which may have been updated since you recorded this video? Do you have an updated version of the IR?
Is there any concern with the pod go being intended for electric guitar, so that it might not be taking into account acoustic frequencies in an effective way? I'd love to get one and go to town with it, should I be concerned?
It shouldn't make any difference to use it on acoustic vs electric, as long as you're not using an amp sim or cab sim in the chain, those will narrow the frequency range
@@treyxaviermusic Thanks wonderfull I buy it the 7 IR Taylor and sound amaizing. I´ve a PRS SE Custom and I'm surprised about the clearity and perfect acustic sound. I'm playing with the snapshot the have a variables of the acustic sound. Thanks men for your knowledge. See you
Thanks for the tips and a solution. I upgraded from a Boss GT1 to the go for more flexibility but miss the Acoustic Sim in the Boss. I also don’t want to take an acoustic with me and liked the GT1 ability to do Single or Humbucker to Acoustic simulation. Ticks me off I need to pay more for an IR now considering I paid more than double for the Go. Oh well, I guess the price of progress.
Hello there! Is it possible for the POD GO to add decent bass sound to a guitar (acoustic or electric), ONLY to the lowest note, while keeping the dry (not bass) signal available for further processing? In other words, does it have the functions of the new BOSS OCTAVE OC-5, embedded within?
I was about to give this a try. I've read that setting up an acoustic guitar, many people set the amp to the Studio Tube Pre (based on Requisite Y7 mic preamp) rather than leaving it off. Have you tried this or have thoughts on it?
I do this, works great. I also set my expression pedal to increase the gain and volume a bit for quieter playing and when I feel I need my playing needs more punch in the mix. Make sure you set it to line instead of mic.| Also IR patches work best for acoustic if you bring the level down a bunch. You see -18 in the video, that's a solid starting point. This is also recording level with the best headroom. I sometimes bring it up to taste to around -5 db.
helpful video however i know it may not be your fault, but the commercials are heavy, like every other minute, was annoying so i didnt finish the video.
I’m having serious issues with this unit. I have a 214 and when use it plugged in out into a PA it sounds horrible. There’s no output and when I try to increase the level it clips and fizzes
Well, sorry but the Line6 sounds like trash. Not a good sound. The piezo pickup does NOT sound good at all. The best rig I have ever heard and played through was a Sunrise Pickup, to a BBE Acoustimax, looping an Eventide H9 and TC Helicon VoiceLive GTX all outputting to an Alto Professional TS310. I have yet to hear a better rig. The HeadRush GIGBOARD is a very close second. The Line6 . . . bottom of the trash heap.
Half an hour of bloviation to say and so something that any two (2) year can do! wow! pat yourself in the back! you just discovered that water can soak you!
WHERE'S MY NOTIFICATION SQUAD AT? MASH THAT MF LIKE
Can you do this for tutorial with an electric-equipped piezo?
I know this video is old, but it didn't get the love it deserved for helping with acoustics through the pod go! You rock, thanks!
Incredibly well explained. Loved the attention to fidelity.
Explain everything...then we can pick the bones out of it. Big up yourself.

I love the Yamaha LS-TA
Incredible value for money
Loved this video. Please do more for us solo acoustic guys!

It sounds 100% identical to the Helix, all the sounds are exactly the same with the exception of a few effects that it doesn’t have
Awesome vid
Ha, like I use the Helix Floor with 3 Sigma Acoustic IRs. Also getting a hole plug is good on stage. Yamaha makes their own :)
Nice!!Thanks!!🤟
I run my Line 6 Pod Go in the effects loop of my Fishman Aura...but I appreciate this video, thanks for posting!
I hope they had given user the liberty to choose any of those 8 blocks. It would have made it the best product in the market.
I preferred the electric guitar piezo without the ir. The ir made it sound thinner to me.

where did you download the Acoustic guitar IR you mentioned in the video?
Awesome sounds man. From that acoustic. Have a good day.
Where can i find the Taylor IR downloads or other acoustic IR downloads?

Hi! Can you make this patch available for download? Love the tone you're getting with the pod go. Keep up the great work
Here it is: bit.ly/GOCOUSTIC
@@treyxaviermusic do you have a patch for Helix LT?
@@treyxaviermusic Downloaded, but it's a *.pgp. How do I decrypt?
Could line6 include an acoustic guitar pedal in the podgo...
Helix firmware 3 now has the Boss acoustic simulator. You can also load IRs of micd premiumacoustics
I like a lot the sounds but how this gonna sound for an nylon acoustic guitar? Its intersting to thing.
I use the Firehawk presets and they sound great, yes you can use it.
I think you’d just need the right IR, the ones I’ve used here are steel string guitars but you should be able to find nylon string ones somewhere
New podgo user
Can you build an acoustic IR with podgo out of the box without purchasing or downloading first?
Great video! I see the link for the IRs, but you mention a link to download the preset. I don't see that link in the description.
Sorry, here it is: bit.ly/GOCOUSTIC

would that work if my electric gtr doesn't have a piezo? 😂
What could I use as a free IR so this sounds better -
I don't find it sounds better through the Pod, it sounds unnatural and I prefer the first direct sound?
I filled out the form with my email address and did not a link to the Pod Go patch. What next?
Got the acoustic patch . How do i get those IR’s?
Which is better for acoustic. This or the FX Stomp?
Might be a dumb question, but if you have a Taylor 314ce, do you need the IR?

I have an LR Baggs Lyric microphone pickup. Any idea how that would work with your presets?
Do you have a LINE 6 channel for Line 6 GO sounds?
Nice vid! I have a question. The correct place to set the Master knob is at noon? Thank you.
question how do I get that IR that you are using?

is it useful to add a pre-amp simulator as well (in front of the chain before the effects)?

Just bought mine how do i load impulse responses in the library. thanks for this as i switch between instruments alot.
You can load them in the pod go edit
If I have a good pickup system like what comes with the Yamaha A3R, should I still use an IR?
I found recording my own guitar with a decent condenser mic and creating an ir specific to your pickup system is the best option.
I used this video and the plugin in the description (demo version) to do it.
god i hate that piezo sound...
