Awesome review. I have a question, will be grateful if you can think about it. "Without plugging in to an amp, is it possible to do something so that I can get looping also?" Implying, use a looper pedal and give the output into this device?
Thank you. I've finally settled to buy this after watching a lot of other pickup videos. Nice review. Btw what settings did u use to achieve the "rain" tone
This is the best explanation.. So sound is picked up in 3 ways - 1 Mic 2 Magnetic pickup 3 Transducer - which picks up body vibrations But you cannot control the transducer amount. Is this correct?
Yes, we are picking up sound with just magnetic pickup and mic with temporary installation and also the transducer if we do a permanent install. That makes it three sources. You can control the transducer intensity and mic tone with the small potentiometer’s screw (10:18). However you only have control over volume when using the electromagnetic pickup. Hop this helps.
Great review...good job! I have the Double wired and wireless models....I'm considering the Go version. Walmart has them in America with free returns to the store.....much better and cheaper then ebay from china.
Yeah man. I highly recommend them as far as acoustic pickups go. I’ve tried them without being plugged in and on live PA and they both sound great compared to the ones you get pre installed on you le guitars. And the thing with the Chorus/Delay is that it is a 50-50 configuration. The first half of the dial is chorus and as soon as you rotate the dial further through the halfway you exit chorus and then start the delay. Say if you got 0 to 100 dial setting, the first 50 is for chorus and the next 50 is for delay. So we can use only one of those effects at a time.
Hey Robert, i have used his pickup for almost a year now and haven't had to change the battery yet. Also, mine came with the battery inside the box so i don't really know about the battery that much. All i know for now is that we can it is replaceable and rechargeable. 😅
Thanks for the reply. I put a protected 18650 cell into mine and it works and charges fine. And I love both its plugged in sound and its unplugged effects (which I use more). Its great.
Nice! Can you help me? I play a percussive-style, when unplugedd, the effects off delay/reverb applies when i hit my fingers on the wood, trying to make a percussion? And can i use more than one effect at the same time? thanks
When plugged in The mic sound is added to the magnetic sound. It does pick up the sound of the wood but I feel the volume could go louder. Also you can have delay and reverb or chorus and reverb but not chorus and delay.
If I'm using it just for the effects will I have to just attach the transducer. And if I use it on my already fitted acoustic guitar will this endpin have to replace mine?
yeah you won't necessarily need the transducer if you just want the effects. In my opinion, the endpin would depend on the cable type. If the endpin's cable is similar to the one that plugs into the pickup, it shouldn't have a problem
Hey, the Double X2 probably works with nylon strings as well. The sound-hole pickup and the transducer can definitely work together but i think most classical guitars come with piezo ( under saddle ) pickups. ( i might be wrong here). But i don't see why it won't work with nylon strings. Hope that helps.
Electroacoustic usually have piezo pickups under the saddle. And since they have their own female endpin jack, the main output is already used by that pickup. One solution would be : drill another hole, install the Kepma acoustifex and then there would be two outputs coming from your guitar. I've seen guitarists like Mike Dawes, Marcin, Alexandrmisko use that kind of setup.
We can only play with the reverb and chorus/delay when the guitar is not plugged in. With the reverb ON, you might feel it’s effect and a little bit of sustain but it does have a very loud sound when not plugged in
Hey brother can u plz help me out Actually i have lr bag anthem pickup under the sound hole but have purchased this trans pickup and m confused whether i can place both in the sound hole? Can u plz reply I cant get refund bro so i have to use it.
hey man, i do think you can put both the pickups in one sound hole but you might end having to drill a second hole for the output jack. if yuou see this video at 17:40, you'll have an idea about having multiple pickups in one guitar. ruclips.net/video/6165kqKto3A/видео.html Hope that helps. and i think it would be best to put your LR baggs in one guitar and the other pickup in an another guitar giving two guitars their own tones. Hope that helps.
@@SonamTube brother I have one lr bag anthem under sound hole and another one is double trans pickup That's why m asking will it be possible to adjust both in one guitar Plz reply brother
The company says a little over 24 hours on a single charge but i haven't tried that yet 😅. But practically i charge the pickup once every 2 weeks. I turn the pickup ON every time i play my guitar and it hasn't died on me yet.
Hey. Thanks for the demo. Im enjoying mine. It has a mellower tone to the under saddle piezo. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to be charging at the moment so i may need to get an external charger. Are you using yours on stage?
I did use mine on stage once but it was for a very short gig. And I’m having no problems with the pickup charging or holding the charge. I usually charge it after 2-3 weeks when at home. Thanks
Clear and right to the point..thank you so much..I mma go with it

Excellent review. For a temporarily installation how do you fix the transducer?
Thanks you.
I didn’t fix the transducer for the temporary installation. It’s just the electromagnetic pickup for a quick run and gun type of setup.
Lovely bruh, 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the demo and review. I have one now but it came without a battery. Do you know if it needs a protested or unprotected 18650 cell. Thanks

Heyy man, this is from a company called Magic Guitars, China. The model name is A3 Dragon. I have an unboxing video on my channel.😁
So no chorus & delay effects at once?
you're right. We can either do reverb+delay or reverb+chorus.
U deserve more
Can you tell us what is the difference between this and double OS1? Which would you prefer?
Hey man, sorry but i haven't used any other pickup besides this one so can't really give you an opinion on it. Thanks
