Just wanted u too know your video is helping us all .just changed it out on my 2011 f150 now with jt inflation 95 $ in canada for the part. And if u want to pay a mechanic 100 that takes almost longer to watch the video than perform the task . Thank u and hope your doing good . Your making a difference in this world 🌎. The world is always better place with a person like yourself ❤️😁
My local ford dealer wanted $880.00 to replace the turn signal switch. I did it for $50 in about an hour. Now that I know what I am doing it would be about 20 minutes tops. Thanks for the tips.
It worked perfect. Very easy. Great video. My column was easier because we had center shift. Cost $50 for part. Saved $300. Took 15-20 minutes. Thx again!!!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in replacing this part. I was able to repair my truck in about 10 minuets for less than $50. Thank you again for a great video.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Was able to follow your video and do the job myself. I’m definitely not a mechanic and you made it simple. Hardest part is putting everything back together after replacement!
Just replaced my turn signal lever! (Cost about $41 including tax.) it took about 30 minutes to switch out, and it saved me about $160-200 if I had to pay a dealer to install! Thanks for the help! Keep them coming!!
Thanks Cory a shop wanted to charge me $125 for the diagnostic and also for the repair said it could be a number of things. Like you said $48 and less than 30 minutes. Appreciated you greatly. God Bless You for sharing the knowledge. 🙏🏾
Great tutorial. It took me longer to go get the new switch than it did to change out the old one. All because of how easy this video made the job. Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial. Saved me some trouble for sure. I'm always afraid of breaking some of this plastic crap. This replacement also fixes the intermittent wiper doesn't shut off as well.
Be very careful extracting the old switch (turning signal lever). I replaced mine and it cracked the housing it was plugged into. I'm sure it was my fault but I didn't press hard at all. Then I had to replace the entire collar that goes around the steering wheel. It was $240 including shipping for the part, that came with a new turning signal and clock spring (the middle round piece). It now works perfect and all is well. BTW, every button on your steering wheel goes through that collar, it sends a ground to whatever device you pushed. My issues was the windshield washer fluid would no longer squirt. The wipers were fixed with the new switch, but the pump no longer worked. Yes, I replaced the $20 pump, no luck. Just be careful when removing and replacing that lever. Good luck and thanks for the video.
just got a new to me 2007 E150. Driving it home I figured something wrong with the switch stalk. Caught your vid just as easy as my old Cherokee was to change many thanks for your time.
Thanks for making this vid! This turn signal switch is a major fail on Ford’s part, along with the horrible timing chain clatter at cold start and the crappy window regulators. I’ve already paid to replace my signal switch once and the replacement lasted 14 months. 2 months outta warranty. I’m gonna replace it again but do it myself thanks to this video. Then I’m gonna sell my truck and get a Tundra.
Thanks for this video! When removing the shroud, you turned the wheel to provide maximum access for the screwdriver to split it open. One thing you didn't mention was.....there is a slot to insert the screwdriver into...so you can split it apart without boogering up the plastic. Maybe obvious to some....but figured I'd point that out. Thanks again. Isn't youtube the bomb when it comes to this stuff??
@@ninbendoyt3203 I ended up replacing the switch but apparently someone was already in there before, mounts were broken, I ended up making a bracket out of tin & a bit of jbweld. Also a 2011
Thank you. Easiest repair I've ever done on a vehicle. I don't know if anyone else had this issue but when I was replacing the switch the t10 screws were not secured at all...just kind of sitting there, I could literally just pull them out.
Your 💯 on that it's stupid easy. I no more than bought my used 2013 F150 STX & the 1st road trip Turn signals went out. Man does it suck to not have turn signals, sadly I quickly realized not only did I not have TS's , I no longer had High beams nor could we use the wipers. ( As it began to rain moments later after TS's failed.) Was forced to get a room for the night & O'Reilly's had my part the very next morning. I found that the failure is primarily due to a 2nd ( plastic mounting part ) that seems to be stacked up within the column assembly. Which the failure primarily occurs in the downward motion of signal stick. The screws in which someone used to appearantly try an correct my issue ( prior to purchasing ) were over torqued an blew threw the secondary bracket rendering it useless. With my new signal in my only advice is to always gently use your TS's & never force it ,if for some reason it hesitates gently work with it or you to will break it's switching capabilities.
Great video! My turn signal wouldn't shut off either, so I did the old Atari 2600 "get ET out of the pit" joystick maneuver on it....alas it broke off in my hand! So glad they are this easy to replace :)
Yes! Same repair if your windshield wipers won't turn off. Do it yourself - I did, paid $70 (CDN) for the multifunction switch from Amazon.ca (OEM part), vs $140 for the part the local Ford dealer, plus I'm sure they would have charged me some exorbitant price for an unnecessary diagnostic code, at least an hours labour, taxes, etc, would likely have cost $500 or more!
I just did mine thank u for sharing others made it to complicated removing steering wheel and air bag, don’t know if I did it the safe way 😂🤣 but I’m drinking beer now THANK YOU!
Thanks a lot! You gave me confidence to go for it and it took 15 minutes on my 2012 King Ranch. My problem was the wipers stayed on. But now I can't get the high beam switch to stay on! I can switch to high, but it won't stay in place. Ever heard of that? I might have a bum switch...
Thank you so much my friend I really appreciate it good information I changed out my switch and with your information I was successful you save me a trip to the dealer And save me some money....thank you for sharing....Big thumbs up 👍👍
I just did this on my 2009 f150. It was actually easier. After you remove the plastic covers , there are two T 10 torx screws in the side of the turn signal arm. Romove them slide the arm out , disconnect the electrical plug, then reverese what you've done and you are finished. I think it took me about 20 minutes.
This was awesome. 1 comment make sure the part number is the same there are a couple different turn signal modules for this model F150. However, a different part number worked just fine in mine. Did this in under 10 minutes and saved $300 in labor. Thanks!

Thanks, I have a 2011 F150 Extended cab and the left turn signal comes on but doesn't stay on. The right signal works fine most of the time. I'll go to O'Reilly's and buy that same turn signal switch and replace. I have no problem with the windshield wiper but as you said, replacement of the turn signal switch also has a relay for the windshield wiper. Nice video but wish video would have shown the innards of the switch once you removed the steering colum clam shell. It appeared to be several screws you moved and apparently there was a bottom portion to the turn signal switch that you pulled out and set aside. Was that lower module a part of the turn signal switch? Full-watch and thanks again. 👍🏽🙂
I have an e-150 van, that the turn signals and hazards are not working. The fuse seems OK, I saw a video about a relay... replaced that, and still nothing. Had a mechanic say maybe the multiswitch? the one in my 2012 f150 completely snapped off, is it possible that I broke some vital parts on whatever the switch is connected to in the steering wheel, or will a replacement take care if everything I need?
