I've put it off lately, but really... it makes me happy to make them so I need to just get to it. I'd love to see you do more with paper pads. You always have such good ideas and this is something that's important to a good deal of card makers. :) The way you kept it simple in this video was great. I tend to overwhelm myself with choices and then I don't do anything. Making one paper pad and one die the focus helped me to rethink the way I make cards a bit. When you were cutting the black backer for the one card, I thought it would look really pretty cut with an edge die. I have some of those from Spellbinders, so I'm going to give it a try. I think the black against the white cut with an edge die would be gorgeous and then keep the patterned paper edge plain. Just an idea... As for hoarding papers... I've only been making cards for about 2 years. I haven't had much time (or money) to buy as many paper pads as you have, but I still have things that haven't been used sitting here, staring at me, telling me they want to be used. LOL I really like the idea of decorating the envelope like that. I also like the idea of just making abstract types of backings... like the triangles on black. One of my problems is, I don't have many plain coloured card stocks. I have a few sheets, but not many and they are 12x12 size. Guess I need to get those cut down to usable size.

Wonderful ideas! When the stores run the paper pads "buy one get one 50% off" I think it is an evil plot! But I fall into the trap quite often. Thank you for some great ways to use those pads up!

Love these and love making boxes. I find that cutting both the top and bottom layers to the same measurement as you want the top then cut an 1/8th inch sliver from one side and one bottom before you do the scoring gives a pretty good fit.

Such beautiful designs in those paper pads. I’ve 22 containers full of 12x12 pads, plus two shelves 3’dx6’w x 4’ h full of paper pads one shelf is plain color pads the other is different sized pads, 8x8, 6x6, and 4x6. Whew. Going to try to use your designer layouts.

Yay! Great ideas, now I only have 5 million papers to go. 🙃 I've started incorporating patterned paper as a background for my cards. I usually ink blend or do some kind of specialty background behind my main element, now I'm just throwing patterned paper back there. ha ha I need to use it up!
I think my reason for not using my large 12×12 per pads is ... they are just too big to keep handy so end up being stored. So I forget about them until I do go looking for for something I'm sure I have and ... poof ... there they are! Oh ... I forgot I even had this! I do however, also have a couple drawers full of the little tablets ... that I also forget about sometimes!! Lol ...

Black really does make the difference as it makes other colours pop. The just the note sentiment is a perfect addition as are the extra's on the inside of card and the envelope. I used to emboss the envelope flaps. Tfs yet another inspirational video Ann x

You're not alone in the craziness of paper hoarding! But I must say, The Paper Boutique Papers are my most used papers in my stash! I use them all the time in my albums! But I stopped buying 12X12 patterned papers because I just have way too many papers! I wish this year I will use them more! For me, if it's not on my table, I will never remember to use it. So I have them on a big pile on my desk and that helps a lot!
Im sooooooo with you! I just bought more today!!! And....I buy the boxes of colored cards with envelopes "thinking" I can use the colors as thin frames behind the cards I make. Well, running out of space! Love your videos, thanks!
