You have explained measures so clearly!! I’m a inches lady! Don’t get on with cm!! Also Ann if you see this I’d love you to explain the measures on cutting cards! I just line up my card with the envelope to get the right size…I know a lot of you will be laughing at me…😂😂 but it will help me. Thank you for all your videos you are so inspiring and clear instructions. Sending big hugs from an old 76 yr old Nana.🥰🥰💕💕🐶🐶❤️👍👍
this has got to be one of the most amazing videos, ever!! I am not new to crafting, but, I learned to much in these last 45 minutes. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Oh thank you for the tip using embossing ink before die ink to heat emboss! I never thought of that!
Me neither and didn't want to keep using the same few embossing powders. This is an awesome tip Ann 💜💜
how do I save this video clip?
I watch a few regular crafters & you appeared this evening & I am so pleased you did. You are amazing. You explain things brilliantly & I am hooked big time. I am a beginner really & you have taught me so much already. Thank you 😊
Brilliant star box. I see now I could fold the bottom flaps up into the star and tape them to the lid and use it as a lid that can be removed from the star bottom. What a great idea on building a box from any shape. Thanks for sharing this.
Ann you are simply the best would love to see more of the box videos you totally inspire me I think you are the best practical crafter out there and not doing a sales pitch at every opportunity is another bonus using what we have and making the most of it thankyou thankyou thankyou xx
Thank you so much!! Yes i hate those videos, its like ' make this but then you need to buy this die and stamp' I try to make is doable for all people xxx
What you do is so important please keep it up look forward to your vlogs xx
Oh gosh, thanks so much for sharing these tried and true ideas. I love the ink embossing with versa mark/ink! And top it off with the foam cuts!! Great ideas. ❤️👏🏻❤️👏🏻. Wait, the star box~~~you did it so easy,! I love your brain!! If I would have tried making the star box, it would have looked like some type of octopus!! But after watching you create it, I can make one too!! You are incredibly talented and I’m grateful you share with us all. ❤️❤️
You are so welcome! xx
I just learned this about two years ago. I kept editing looking at videos and I got a better ruler to read and study it. I don't know how I did all my quilting and sewing back when I was younger cuz I had no idea how to understand measurements back then. But I never gave up. I wish someone like had explain it the way you did.
you so much, i gets a lot of people xx
You are a gifted, born teacher!!! I am not a crafter but love learning everything... because, who knows what tomorrow may bring ?!?
Something prob mostly all know, but here's a tip I learned in fashion school. Never ever use scissors used for fabric on paper, and conversely, never use paper scissors on fabric. Keep your 2 collections separate ... label them all. Paper dulls scissors quite rapidly and, over time, will not give you accurate cutting on fabric. Thanks very much, Ann!
You are so welcome!
Oh wow! That faux glossy accent trick is awesome! Must use!
Thanks for sharing your ideas. I appreciate each one!!
Love the metal Dies with the glossy words then the foam underneath Faux glossy Accents Really beautiful Anne 👏👏👏👏🤗🤗🤗🤗🌹🌹🌹🌹 wow thank you so much for sharing xxx
Oh Ann! I keep on learning so much from all yours videos that I started writing them down on my "Greet the day with gratitude, humor and creativity" notebook not to forget any of your tips. Thank you so much for all you are sharing. xx
Absolutely love every one of your tips! I learned a lot about ink pads clear stamps. Great idea for transparent napkins. Thank you for another great video.
I’ve been crafting all of my long life and there is very little I haven’t done, so I almost didn’t watch this video. But am I glad I did. I still learned many things that I was amazed that I didn’t know. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you Ann, so many great tips, especially the inks and embossing, will certainly have a go at those, xx
Awesome tips and tricks Ann. Love the napkin tip at the end. Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much Anne, I really really enjoyed watching you take us through all these tips and tricks. I really really love ❤️ the box one and the napkin one too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Wow, Ann! I wish I’d watched this ages ago! I’ve wasted so much time and money! So many videos are American, and its not always possible to get the materials or equipment at a reasonable cost. Thank you!
So many great tips I wish I'd known earlier as well. I've been stamping a little over a year and I had to watch a lot of videos to get all of the info you just gave us in 45 minutes (and I STILL learned a lot!). I never thought to stamp Versamark and a color in order to heat emboss or to use my dies to make a box. Thank you so much
Thankyou Ann, its lovely to see you being appreciated for all the things you can do. Always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing such great stuff.
Thanks so much 😊
Great video Ann, wish l would have known all this when l started. Its also good to get all this info from one spot. I remember trying to figure out inks and getting it wrong when embossing. Way to go Ann.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have also learnt that I’m not the only one who prefers the Imperial measurements! The number of times I’ve ordered the wrong sizes , is no body’s business 😂😂 x
Thank you for all these tips and tricks. Love them all and the fact I can go back and find each one easily xx
Thank you Ann for being so generous in sharing your wonderful techniques you learn or come up with to pass on to us. Love watching you, actually, you are my go to video personality when I want to learn something! Keep rolling those tapes for us!!
Awww thank you xx
Excellent hints! And Art Glitter glue is my absolutely favorite.
Very good tutorial for all crafters out there. Wished I'd known about the Inks when I 1st started. A great refresher course for me.🎯
Thanks for all the reminders Ann. Like the previous comment - it's amazing how much we forget while we're learning new things! I knew all of them apart from the last one - removing the paper from the laminated napkin using water. I have some matt pouches and think I'll try them as I think they might resemble patterned vellum even more. You're a star - keep shining! xx
Thanks Ann for those awesome tips, really great to have the heads up on all of these. I definitely learnt a couple of new tips! So appreciate you sharing these with us!
These were great tips! Thank you! I have literally lost HOURS of my life making bows. No more! Also loved the glossy sentiments mounted on foam and the box-making tutorial, and I can't wait to try laminating napkins!
It can be so tricky, mine were a total mess when i first started lol. Have fun xx
Absolutely fabulous video. All good information and I agree that when you start out crafting there are a lot of things to figure and learn. This video would be so helpful to new and veteran crafters. Thank you so much for taken the time to share this very valuable information. Cindy Lou

This taught me so much, I can't buy the Woodward rotary cutter because they don't ship to New Zealand. I really do appreciate your videos as you make everything clear, and I've learned so many new tips. And your accent is enchanting.

Thank you chillin times thank you. Blessings to you and yours
Hi Ann 11 things im so glad I found out before I start crafting. Everyone is a bonus, Cant read a ruler, guillotine or trimmer. I certaintly didnt know which inks to use with what, oh the list goes on n on. Makes sence with the nesting dies but i would of never thought of it. Absolutely luv the napkin idea. You are a diamond luv, I maybes dont feel so overwhelmed now n atleast have a great idea now. An fantastic video very imformative.Thank you as always luv from Newcastle x
Wow!!! I have been doing scrapbooking, card making , etc for years and even I learned a couple things!!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Glad it was helpful! x
Great solving mystery of inks…VERY clear and concise!!
As usual Anne a truly brilliant and informative video! Its so reassuring to know you didn't know everything when you started and are now a well respected brilliant crafter! Thank you so much for all the useful advice as well! Just love your channel!
I agree 2,000% about paper trimmers... It drives me crazy not to have a sharp clean STRAIGHT cut! I have a couple of different trimmers for different purposes but I always go back to my rotary or my guillotine because I know those are going to give me great cuts every time. I hate the ragged, scraggly edges just like you, I'll get a nail file and smooth them down if it's the only choice I have 😅. You can put hours into making an amazing card but if the cut isn't good you might as well just toss it all in the bin.
I'm also an art glitter glue girl and I don't think you will ever get it away from me. I literally have it marked on my calendar when the last fall shipping days are so that I don't run out during the winter (they don't ship here when it's cold unfortunately). It grabs quick, it dries flat and clear, it's worth every penny.
Thank you, especially for the tip about using regular dye inks with clear embossing ink and clear embossing powder. That is a phenomenal tip! 💛
That was quite wonderful. Thank you...🌺
Thank you so much for sharing all that you do, you have helped me tremendously with so many things as a beginner crafter and I so appreciate your help 😊
I struggle so much with ALL the different ink pads out there and it’s almost overwhelming but I wrote down all the ones you shared and I’ll go with those, makes it so much easier.
Again THANK YOU so much for teaching us all, I always look forward to your videos ❣️❣️
P.S. I always love your nails 💅🏻 too
Thanks for sharing. I especially liked the faux Glossy Accents and the nesting die box.
Thank you xx
Ohhhh!!!! Love the napkin tip!
Me too!!
Another EXCELLENT video! And I picked up a few tips (as usual) along the way! Winner! Janet 🤗👍💕🌺
I've been seriously crafting for about a year. Every single one of these suggestions will help me. Thank you
You are very welcome xx
Excellent tips, Ann. Thankyou.
Thank you so much Ann for sharing these tips. Just love how you created the Star box with the dies. Everything about your video was very informative. xx
Thank you so much!! xx
Great video tips and techniques excited to watch more!!!
OMGosh!! The 3-D star is waay cool!!
Thank you for this video. I learned so much. I’m especially anxious to try working with napkins!
OMG!! What a GREAT video. Learned alot. You answered my one big question I was wondering about. Different kinds of ink pads.Loved how you had all there and showing them when talking about it. Kinda new to stamping.that has helped me. I saved this to rewatch, and put info in my notebook for future references. Thank you much for sharing. Learned alot.. thinking about a laminator too. Getting closer to getting one. Might need to see a few more things that you can do with it first. Getting there.. lol Thanks again...
Thank you for sharing this I have learned a lot from this. Can’t wait to try these new ideas.
Thank you, Ann! So many useful hints--I had no idea about the boxes, or "faking the Glossy Accents." I did have to order the cool background die In your Xmas card video that looked like Van Gogh's "Starry Night." It's even got wind movement.
I did appreciate you talking about silicone vs photopolymer stamps. I got some "bootleg stamps" recently, and I had to literally use an Emory nail board to sand off the coating to get the ink to stop bubbling up. Also, the coordinating dies were much larger than the box size I was trying to put a window in. Plus, these stamps felt like chewing gum!!!!!! You really do get what you pay for.
You are amazing😊! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.😊
Amazing Ann....great tips. Just love your tutorials....and your lovely accent! 😃
Brilliant video and tips, thank you. 😊
Thank you for this informative video! Although I knew all about increments of measurement from my cabinet building experience and use that knowledge for everything, I was pleased that you shared it for everyone's benefit. I typically use any ink for wet embossing, except those that dry really fast. I was with SU! for several years, too, so I have that trimmer still, though I use the "Cutterpillar Crop" with its gear driven blade system. I so hated the frayed edges of using dull V-blades. I use the old precision base plate for my intricate & detailed dies. (Didn't know there's a chrome non-marring one.) Love the Art Glitter Dries Clear glue for everything, too, except the occasional glue dot. I will also use the foam instead of multiple layers of paper for thick sentiment die cuts. I can still learn so much, even after 20+ years of card making! You Rock!
