Looks like I'm very late to the party, don't know how I missed this one. So beautiful Ann, thank you as always for your wonderful inspiration. I love the last two but especially the tiles. 💜💜💜
If you have got some old felt tips pens, cheap kid ones , that are dried up and mix with some alcohol, rubbing alcohol is the best quality although 70% works well. Break the tubes of the pens and pull out the inner which has a enclosed fluffy wick. Add this and the old pen nib to about 10-20mls of alcohol and you have homemade alcohol ink. Be careful because it will be permanent.
You can get the sticky back foil on a roll at plumbers supplies or building supplies stores - it comes in a wide version too - it is thicker than cooking foil and can withstand rubbing.
Wow! Who knew kitchen foil could look so beautiful. I thought it looked pretty good covering my roast but you have taken it to a whole new level. Loving the embossed look, stunning. Thank you so much for such inspiring creativity. 💗
Very pretty! I do tin foil projects with my students. We use markers and India Ink, and trap objects like poster board shapes, coins, and buttons underneath once sprayed with adhesive. It is one of our favorite projects. We also use a hot glue gun on illustration board, spray with adhesive then wrap and spread the foil over the contours, being careful not to tear it, working from center out. Never thought to make cards, but we have made mini desings and put a pin on the back to wear as jewelery. I love putting foil through my texture machine, as well. Also, I never thought to use stencils with markers. You are so awesome. Thanks for the inspiration!
Brilliant! I have used foil in an embossing folder before but never though to colour it and would never have thought to heat emboss it. Lots of great ideas, thank you.
Wow! Wow! Wow! So many brilliant ideas with foil. Ann, you've excelled yourself on this one. Just can't pick a favourite one, like all of them for different reasons. So grateful that you go out of your way to gather all these ideas together and put them on one video for our use. Much appreciated.
You are so clever Ann your ideas are amazing. Who would of thought that the ordinary kitchen foil could produce such beautiful cards. Thanks again for a great video xx
Ann gave this a quick view on my lunch break. Brilliant as always! Something to look forward to watching again tonight instead of rubbish UK TV. Thanks!
Thank you so much Ann for all your amazing tutorials. So glad I found your channel. You are a beautiful blessing to us and a wonderful inspiration. You have an amazing easy to understand teaching style thank you so much 🥰❤🤗
Years ago I wrapped foil around my card stock piece and embossed with a folder that resembled tire treads. It served as the background for a sports car stamped image that was colored and cut out. I haven’t used foil in years, but this was a fun video to watch. (I never actually trimmed the foil, I just wrapped it around.)
You are SO generous in sharing all your amazing ideas and easy to follow instructions, thank you , your work is just beautiful. I can't wait to try this out xx
Colouring in all those little indentations on the tin foil at random I’m sure without a doubt is very therapeutic ….. (just like back in my day it was called doodling ) …….. I prefer your take on it by far what fabulous results you have achieved………… Thank you Ann 🤗
I'm a little late to the party, but I think the term you were trying to think of is cloisonné, where they usually do a colored enamel inside decorative metalwork or metal wire. Anyway, it's beautiful! Thanks for sharing the technique, even if I am a couple years late seeing it.
That is absolutely beautiful!!! I can hardly wait to try using foil!! I look for your videos every day I truly enjoy them. I was especially impressed with the use what you have series early this year.
You are soooooo talented. I hope you win the craft award . I know this is an old video because I watched it about a year ago or so. I would vote for you hands down as the best crafter in the world. I’ve been making cards for at least 55 years. As good as I am at it , you have me beat by a long shot. I do a lot of experiments like you do, but I have learned so much from you. Thankyou for all the knowledge you are so willing to share with us. You truly deserve any and all awards you are nominated for, all of them. You truly blow every one else out of the water. Salute
Talk about a Wow factor, going from embossing fabrics to tin-foil transformations, who knew, other than you?! Awesome tutorial and inspiration. Thanks Ann! See you at the next one. Blessings 💙xx
Beautiful! I love all of these! Watching you work with foil reminded me of what I did to my bedroom in the 70s (when I was 17). 😁. I covered my door in foil and used color markers to write one of my poems on it. Of course, I had to add 70s-style flowers and lots of other art, too. It was so cool. I can’t wait to try some of your techniques!
Ann, I did want you to know you can get the aluminum foil tape in 4-5". They use it to seal ductwork for Aircondition and heating. So check those areas. You can die cut out of it but when you remove the back of the tape roll it wrinkles it badly. So I have learned to use a strong glue on the back of the tape release paper and it holds better. It makes amazing ornaments during Chrustmas season as well as phenomenal 3D texture fades, or embossing.
Hi Ann, WOW is defo the right word. Who would think a 2 quid roll of tin foil would look so amazing.Ive watched this video 3 times I was facinated with the outcomes. Absolutely beautiful cards. My creative mind is in overdrive.I've hunted high and low for that sticky back foil on a roll n cant find it anywhere. Lucky lady. Thank you as always xx
What a brilliant video, kitchen foil another essential for our craft spaces! Just loved it! You are so inspiring Anne, you always deliver, and add a creative twist to every project;
Thank you for your creativity. What I love the most is, I can immediately grab the items and have a go straight away. That way, I know, the ideas will stay in my memory, unlike other times I order something and by the time it arrives I haven't a clue why I wanted it! Sometimes though, I'll pause a video and take a photo or a screenshot. Interestingly, my foil had little diamond markings on it and I thought it won't matter for my trial go, but they disappeared, so no need to find a different brand!
I am picking up so many amazing techniques from you! And, what I like best is your 'speed' the video up so I don't have to sit and watch every stroke. That way I get to see more! Thank you!!!
Wow Anne, you knocked it out the park. Who knew you could do so much with tin foil. My 2 favourites were the scrunched with the alcohol markers and the tile. Thanks again for sharing, can't wait fir your next video. X 🥲🥰💖💖💖
Yep, you pronounced it the way American's say Aluminum foil, but my son and I love the way you guys say it! So we will say it the way you do at times because we love it so much. All fabulous ideas, you never ceased to amaze me. I've uses foil before on a card, but never thought to color it the way you have with alcohol markers. Heat embossing on foil is genius! I will have to try that for sure, the addition of the coloring really brings it up a notch. My favorite though, was the "stenciled" poinsettia one, my gosh that is stunning! Although, I did love the tile one too, oh heck I loved them all! Great techniques using foil, you are genius Ann. Hugs, Brenda
Oh no….I just ran out of foil the other day. Think I’ll be making a special trip to the supermarket. Really love the tile one, and really liked it just with the white acrylic paint on it. Also, think I’ll have to have a look into some coloured foil. Thank you for sharing your ideas. X
I have never seen these techniques before. They are absolutely stunning. I think the reason the embossing goes quickly because the foil hols the heat of the gun and it makes it go faster. They all are so beautiful. Absolutely love this technique. Thank you for sharing.
You blow me away. Your ideas and talent, plus enthusiasm are like no other. I’ve dabbled in kitchen foil before, but nothing like this. I cannot wait to get a moment and do these. I belong to a local card group, we will meet on Feb 19 th of this month. We all bring un assembled cards to put together and do a swap. Now to find he right die or stencils. Ann, you rock my world. Keep that chin up.
Oh wow!! Absolutely gorgeous who'd of thought gorgeous cards using just kitchen foil which yes I think most of us have omg going to try this it's beautiful hun xxx

This has inspired me so very much, thank you Ann. I have been struggling to do anything of late, but this is too tempting and something that I am definitely going to have a try at. The effect is amazing! You have achieved the impossible Ann, thank you from the bottom of my heart, Liz x
I've used aluminum foil on cards for years. I've never used glue on the back of the foil, tho. Just put on the cardstock, fold to the back side, then tape it down with either double sided tape or even Scotch tape. I then emboss, then added to my trim card, then to card base. They've always turned out great. BUT ... I'm going to try some of your demos. They're beautiful!! Thank you
Amazing what you did with foil and a few supplies! Now I think I will consider foil a craft essential. I make a lot of craft projects to frame. Now foil can be added to my materials to work with. Thanks again, Ann.
Every single one is just GORGEOUS!! I love each and every one. I think my fave is the gold heat embossing, and the last one, that is embossed to look like tile and then brayered white. I am so enjoying your videos!!!

The foil heat embossed quickly because it’s foil, and it heats! It also reflects heat. In the states the tape is often used by the air conditioning folks. You know aluminum has been used in wiring for a long time. Copper it better, but both conducts heat.
