Fun Fact, this hidden questline seems to be based on the optional quest during the night elf campain when Maiev actually gets inside the tomb of sargeras to stop Illidan from claiming the eye of sargeras, if you used Maiev's blink ability, you could get around some creative places in the tomb and obtain 10 shadowy orbs wich boosted Maiev's stats and had an on hit effect, this nod brings back memories .

Fairly the orb itself is taken by the wardens if I recall they weren't stupid enough to give it to Drek thul.but the artefact you recover is definitely a nod to the item Maiev gives to turn in the quest.if u notice he goes in with it and probably through fell under the voids sway and collected these orbs himself.however when he didn't want to do it anymore and realised about the problems he threw the artefact in a place where no one could find it.when u bring it back to him Nzoth probably tells him about Nyalotha and soon you actually collect the orbs and silence those whispers for him.

the locations were found by overlaying the map with high transparency over the table with the orb on it the orb is suramar city and the rocks on the table show the locations of the orbs they flew people out to all locations and saw which ones were active in what order... the whole process took about 4 hours
There is a chance that the true fate of the Legion is to destroy the Void Lords. We already know that Sargeras wants to destroy all creation and renew it. With this goal in mind, the Legion has consumed "countless" worlds, a.k.a. created a massive army to pit against the minions of the Void. All higher commanders of the Legion (those who are not totally consumed by rage) keep mentioning that we "do not comprehend" what the Legion is/does. The Burning Legion is a weapon, created by Sargeras to destroy everything (his Crusade). But because his purpose is twisted, Sargeras cannot overcome Azeroth. How can the all-powerful Legion fail in this so emphatically? It's because the Legion's destiny is not to destroy Azeroth, but ally with it. Velen's visions, in my opinion, reinforce this view. The "Light" standing against the "Darkness". Think about it, the Legion isn't darkness. They are many things, but not an all-consuming shadow. The true enemy, everyone's true enemy, is the Void. And the army standing against that Void will likely have parts (if not all) of the Burning Legion in its ranks. My money is also on Illidan leading the Legion in that final fight, perhaps commanding the entire army of the Light. He is some kind of "chosen one" anyway. I can't think of a better way to end World of Warcraft. And I hope it doesn't happen for a long time :)
I myself am also leading towards Illidan, but in a different way. I think that his body will be used as the host for Azeroth, just like what they were trying to do with Sargeras. Also, as he is the "child of light", someway or another he will birth a Light-Infused Azeroth, just like how Old Gods attempt to corrupt titan spirits to try and make them Void corrupted when born. This would give us a being able to combat the Void Lords.
Sargeras always wanted to destroy the void lords, but he got so fed up with stuff and felt like the pantheon was doing nothing about the void lords so he killed the pantheon off and started the Burning Legion to make sure that nothing got corrupted by the void lords and by that he means destroy everything so that it cannot get corrupted. There is more to it but I don't really feel like sitting and writing about it for 30 minutes right now.

Also, we need to add the third faction Light Crusade with possibility to leave the Alliance or stinky Horde to become part of it and new neutral races.

What an amazing quest-line. This is what it should be like to acquire a legendary, not just running through dungeons endlessly or buying one off the AH. Stuff like this lets me have hope in the game once again.
It is great because it is not actually a quest line there are no quests it is literally just an old grumpy orc who talked and not a big yellow quest symbol above his head.
I think the problem with legendaries is them being related to... Fucking RNG Because to get the best in slot legendary for your spec you need to get a legendary and hope for that legendary to be the one you need On the other hand I have no problem with crafted legendaries, yeah, you just buy them, wich if you are bad at making gold you just cant But someone actually HAD TO WORK and use his materials to craft it

I am a huge fan of your lore videos and really hope you go back to making them again, but that being said I watch everything you post. Can't express how much I appreciate that Blizzard puts in hidden quests like these. Gives the world some extra mystery and a sense of not being in control of everything. I admit I would never find any of this alone, but the fact that it's there makes exploring feel more meaningful. Great video Nobbel :)
I reckon even when everyone realizes Sargeras is trying to fight the Void they will still be on his tail until he is defeated, theres no chance of him letting us live after triggering his lieutenants (twice) and destroying thousands of his demonic pawns, i'm secretly hoping at the end of 7.3 that Sargeras shows up in some form like "haHAA you idiots! now you will d-......oh......ohhhh shit" A massive tentacle slaps him back into the Nether and N'Zoth surfaces near the broken isles with Jaina on his back and declares "My turn" End of legion
We didn't really destroy a whole lot of his pawns up until now. Demons can only be truely killed in the twisting nether so we're currently just slapping them back. Also, Sargeras would rip N'Zoth and his tentacles off Azeroth like it was grass, the old gods are no direct threat to him. The only way they can threaten him is if they succeed with corrupting azeroth and spawn a corrupted titan.
LukasTelevision I wasn't being serious lol I know he could very well crush the planet in the time it takes us to breathe in breathe out, just implying i would enjoy a confrontation between the legion and the old gods at the end since the old gods are clearly using the invasion (and for all we know the legion itself through xavius, Azeroth rest his soul) to their own ends, the comment from Xal'Atath about the residual void energy in the cave in the Dream sealed it for me, they are coming next expansion.
I think the orbs are a shoutout to the Shadow Orbs you collecting in Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne when you're playing as Maiev. Looks like a great questline. will definitely have to give this one a go!
it'll turn out that this is an alternate timeline where we failed, the green pickle Thrall was not enough so Sargeras created an alternate time portal to save the universe but the Green pickle remembered and thus led the horde to ruin whilst looking weak, clever pickle, clever indeed

Based on a quote from Chronicle Vol. 2 regarding Aegynn's choice for the location for the Tomb of Sargeras, I believe that N'zoth's prison (supposedly called Ny'alotha?) is beneath the Tomb of Sargeras. "She settled on the sunken ruins of an ancient night elven temple - which some legends say was built upon an even older structure of mysterious origins." I think that N'zoth will be the next major villain, and will be revealed after we delve into the Tomb of Sargeras. Whether this happens in 7.3 or in the next expansion remains to be seen. It would be crazy if when N'zoth reveals himself if we allied with the Legion to battle the Old Gods, since the whole point of the Burning Crusade is to stop the Void Lords from getting what they want.
the answer to how ppl figured the locations of the orbs is at the table behind drakthul. on the table there is a "map" of the broken isles (the orb is the shield of suramar, the candle is the tomb of sargeras and the feather is Shaladrassil). the little rocks indicate where approximately the orbs are located. one of the rocks is on the floor in front of the table and indicated the orb in the eye of azshara
Could you do a video on all the Orc clans, nothing too in depth on the people in the clans but just the basics on each clan. Their is so much info from WC 1 and 2 that I have no idea about, like entire clans I have never heard of.
Hey Nobble, love the video, as usual. But, if I can ask/suggest one theme, I would love to see a lore video about Lor'themar Theron. I don't know if you already have a video about him (I know you mention him in the Kael video), but if you don't, he's the kind of major lore character you usually make amazing videos about. I know he hasn't played a major part in Legion, but I have some Sin'dorei alts and I've always found their story and early leveling zone so fascinating... And Lor'themar sounds like a real badass, so his story should be interesting too. Anyway, thanks for all the help and amazing content you provide us and, if you happen to make a video about him, thanks in advance ^_^.

Wow. guldan had a very gruesome death. Torn apart by demons. Yikes. The questline at the end seems so challenging. I haven't done it. If I did, I would definitly find in online guides.
Aegwyn in the very beginning of this video, at 44 seconds in looks like she's going to smite Sargeras with the awesome power of her sweater pups. I am amused.
+Soltyrus I did, I did play during launch, it was just 2 weeks and they found Kosumoth and the Hippogryph mount, I did stand next to the orbs for 12 hours and next to all these people and their toys, I did play through the whole of Legion, I did even play the pre-patch... Oh, I'm not a level 98 DH, I'm a 110 Paladin, why would I lie about playing during launch or not? Please don't let that become a thing.
To anyone who hasn't done this treasure hunt yet: You have to do the orbs in a specific order (shown in the video). Otherwise the orbs reset (or so it was be fore 7.2, I did around 7.1)
I'll be honest and say Drak'thul was a really smart Orc not to stay with his comrades while they were torn to shreds by the demons. Really hope you can do more with him honestly and Warlocks can get a special thing from him or something.
Wow that was some impressive old god speak! But anyway, I predict that Sargeras sees conquering Azeroth, uniting it under the legion banner, is the only way to stop the sleeping world soul from being corrupted by the old gods/void lords and we merely see the legion as a massive threat that must be destroyed. In the end, I think that it would be an awesome twist, if Sargeras, after seeing Kil'jaeden, his most powerful and trusted lieutenant, fall yet again, he'll remember how Gul'dan, and Archimonde fell again and again, hell, even 2 manifestations of himself fell to the heroes of Azeroth. He'll come to realize that working WITH us is the only way to save the world, and the universe, from the corruption of the void, that he's wasting far too much time, and resources on a futile invasion, while N'zoth gathers his strength. Xal'atath (paraphrase): You should hurry and defeat the fallen titan. There are greater battles yet to fight. "Almost completely gone, as if it never existed, but the rift is deep, and vast, and somewhere down there it stirs. Something has changed...the last prison weakens. We must prepare..."
Going back to watch this. I wonder what the Twilight’s Hammer and Stormreaver clans would look like now? With all the changes made, would they be made up of Pale Orcs and Orc Skeletons? As now we know the Void and Necromancy were things the Orcs brought with them during the 2nd war.
if the speculation on the next expac is correct, we will likely face the new Black Empire. And i think Drak'thul will return as well. But he will be a leader of the Twilight's Hammer or a powerful servant of N'Zoth (judging by the language of the whispers, I think its N'Zoth)
So more than likely a N'zoth expansion will be next. I hope they make it very Lovecraft like, it would be fun. Going be nice to get away from Fel themes
Of course legion is not our enemy. Its been clear now with the chronicles that Sargeras will get a redemption story, for he pretty much like medivh was overtaken by "Fel-Madness". Its explicitly stated throughout Chronicles that Sargeras was grief-striken and worried sick about the Universe. so a turn about will eventually happens. After all the conclusive battle for Wow as it is now, is between Shadow and Light, and of course than doesnt mean that the legion will have survived till then, but it seems to me that we will need all the allies we can get.
I think when we arrive on Argus it has been completely taken over by an old god on Argus. In the raid we will fight corrupted demons etc and the end boss will be the old god. After that Sargeras stands before us but instead of killing us he sees that we are a powerfull ally against the void lords. After that we make a deal with Sargeras and the army of light that we will meet them somewhere in the nether to fight the void lords. However when we return Azeroth has been taken over by the old gods. After we deal with that thread we can finally go to the spot where the armies of the legion and the army of light would meet up. At that point sargeras has been corrupted and turalyon dies. I dont know why but I kinda feel they are going in this direction in the story who knows only time might tell
Do the orbs still have a cool down? I remember I tried to do this a while back, but I was put off by the fact that you had to wait like half an hour after someone else touched the orb before you could touch it, and there would always be people camping near the orbs.
Is that shark the same one as the one in Vash'jir? We collect his teeth, impale him with a spear... I'm pretty sure we kill him, but maybe he comes back?
I'm honestly so curious how they will unfold legion with us going to Argus later in the expansion. I mean if we defeat Sargeras we would pretty much be able to massively overpower the old gods unless they fuck over the chronicles and bring the "old" old gods back to canon like they were described in the war of the ancients books.
That is true, but from what we know they can only do so much as they can not enter our realm. In theory we simply would have to controll the old gods and prevent them from corrupting a titan soul (what the pantheon originally wanted to do). But yeah, I'm curious how they will play it out.
As much as I love lore stuff, I think I'll pass this quest line. I can't be bothered downloading addons and I don't have any of those underwater mounts and boosts to get me to those underwater caves. I also have plenty of mounts already, so I see no point in getting that squid. The upcoming class mounts are an exception though.
tatan porilkov Vol'Jin likely had relatives that could be candidates for a new leader, we seen a couple trolls in the echo Isles called "X'Jin" so might just be coincidence but I'm assuming they are directly related to him so maybe one of them, then again I don't think it's been told how trolls choose new leaders but I guess time will tell eh

I think the 'mistress' the Arcane Guardian was refering to was Jaina who may have been studying the dark orb. But that's my idea.

Based on a quote from Chronicle Vol. 2 regarding Aegynn's choice for the location for the Tomb of Sargeras, I believe that N'zoth's prison (supposedly called Ny'alotha?) is beneath the Tomb of Sargeras.
"She settled on the sunken ruins of an ancient night elven temple - which some legends say was built upon an even older structure of mysterious origins."
I think that N'zoth will be the next major villain, and will be revealed after we delve into the Tomb of Sargeras. Whether this happens in 7.3 or in the next expansion remains to be seen.
It would be crazy if when N'zoth reveals himself if we allied with the Legion to battle the Old Gods, since the whole point of the Burning Crusade is to stop the Void Lords from getting what they want.
This sounds logic.
I hope he will be the next BIG Antagonist!

He's been very patient, perhaps building his strength. He's still an Old God though, which is nothing to cough at.

the answer to how ppl figured the locations of the orbs is at the table behind drakthul. on the table there is a "map" of the broken isles (the orb is the shield of suramar, the candle is the tomb of sargeras and the feather is Shaladrassil). the little rocks indicate where approximately the orbs are located. one of the rocks is on the floor in front of the table and indicated the orb in the eye of azshara

Could you do a video on all the Orc clans, nothing too in depth on the people in the clans but just the basics on each clan. Their is so much info from WC 1 and 2 that I have no idea about, like entire clans I have never heard of.
Hey Nobble, love the video, as usual. But, if I can ask/suggest one theme, I would love to see a lore video about Lor'themar Theron. I don't know if you already have a video about him (I know you mention him in the Kael video), but if you don't, he's the kind of major lore character you usually make amazing videos about. I know he hasn't played a major part in Legion, but I have some Sin'dorei alts and I've always found their story and early leveling zone so fascinating... And Lor'themar sounds like a real badass, so his story should be interesting too.

I'll be honest and say Drak'thul was a really smart Orc not to stay with his comrades while they were torn to shreds by the demons.
Really hope you can do more with him honestly and Warlocks can get a special thing from him or something.

Wow that was some impressive old god speak! But anyway, I predict that Sargeras sees conquering Azeroth, uniting it under the legion banner, is the only way to stop the sleeping world soul from being corrupted by the old gods/void lords and we merely see the legion as a massive threat that must be destroyed. In the end, I think that it would be an awesome twist, if Sargeras, after seeing Kil'jaeden, his most powerful and trusted lieutenant, fall yet again, he'll remember how Gul'dan, and Archimonde fell again and again, hell, even 2 manifestations of himself fell to the heroes of Azeroth. He'll come to realize that working WITH us is the only way to save the world, and the universe, from the corruption of the void, that he's wasting far too much time, and resources on a futile invasion, while N'zoth gathers his strength.

if the speculation on the next expac is correct, we will likely face the new Black Empire. And i think Drak'thul will return as well. But he will be a leader of the Twilight's Hammer or a powerful servant of N'Zoth (judging by the language of the whispers, I think its N'Zoth)

Of course legion is not our enemy. Its been clear now with the chronicles that Sargeras will get a redemption story, for he pretty much like medivh was overtaken by "Fel-Madness". Its explicitly stated throughout Chronicles that Sargeras was grief-striken and worried sick about the Universe. so a turn about will eventually happens. After all the conclusive battle for Wow as it is now, is between Shadow and Light, and of course than doesnt mean that the legion will have survived till then, but it seems to me that we will need all the allies we can get.
This reminded me of finding dragons balls. Except during GT they summoned a evil dragon lol

I think when we arrive on Argus it has been completely taken over by an old god on Argus. In the raid we will fight corrupted demons etc and the end boss will be the old god. After that Sargeras stands before us but instead of killing us he sees that we are a powerfull ally against the void lords. After that we make a deal with Sargeras and the army of light that we will meet them somewhere in the nether to fight the void lords. However when we return Azeroth has been taken over by the old gods. After we deal with that thread we can finally go to the spot where the armies of the legion and the army of light would meet up. At that point sargeras has been corrupted and turalyon dies. I dont know why but I kinda feel they are going in this direction in the story who knows only time might tell

Do the orbs still have a cool down? I remember I tried to do this a while back, but I was put off by the fact that you had to wait like half an hour after someone else touched the orb before you could touch it, and there would always be people camping near the orbs.
Is that shark the same one as the one in Vash'jir? We collect his teeth, impale him with a spear... I'm pretty sure we kill him, but maybe he comes back?
I'm honestly so curious how they will unfold legion with us going to Argus later in the expansion. I mean if we defeat Sargeras we would pretty much be able to massively overpower the old gods unless they fuck over the chronicles and bring the "old" old gods back to canon like they were described in the war of the ancients books.

That is true, but from what we know they can only do so much as they can not enter our realm. In theory we simply would have to controll the old gods and prevent them from corrupting a titan soul (what the pantheon originally wanted to do). But yeah, I'm curious how they will play it out.

As much as I love lore stuff, I think I'll pass this quest line. I can't be bothered downloading addons and I don't have any of those underwater mounts and boosts to get me to those underwater caves. I also have plenty of mounts already, so I see no point in getting that squid. The upcoming class mounts are an exception though.
Prince Stormstrider i JUST did it without addons or water mounts you dont need them at all.
