Your videos are wonderful!! Thank you so much! I'm crusing in Feb 2024 for the first time and your videos have helped me know what to expect at all of our ports of call. I think my trip will be so much better than if I went in blind, not knowing what to expect. I'll be checking out your website as well. Thanks again!!
Turks and Caicos , I visited 25 years ago. It is the only place I have visited where I cried when I had to.leave. planning to return in 2025. Can not wait.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Make sure you check your notification settings because we post a new video pretty much every Monday at noon (Eastern Time) and we should keep that schedule for the foreseeable future! :)
Over the years we have been at Grand Turk 7 times. My wife really LOVES the beach. We bring our OWN floats for a very nice relaxing day. We go to Jimmy Buffet's because the pool is very nice and I am NOT a fan of salt water. Yeah, go figure!
@@billiejones8788 I am not sure about the lockers since I have never seen them and we always have a water proof backpack with us. Margaritaville does have lounge chairs but if you wait to long or there is more than one cruise ship in they are normally ALWAYS full.
We love Grand Turk and have been twice. Headed a third time this summer. The Home Sweet Home excursion on Carnival was fantastic.. but they no longer allow kids. So, we had to opt for a different excursion.
We paid $100, plus a few dollars more to fill up the gas at the end of the day. Looking online, the prices seem to be about the same, depending on what you want to rent. They may charge more the day of your visit if you don't have a reservation. Just search "grand turk golf cart rental" and you'll find the places that rent.
I went there April 10 on Carnival Venezia. Rented a golf cart and drove around the island. Was somewhat disappointed with the island. Other than the cruise port which was built up for the cruisers. The rest of the island looks very poor. There were many buildings which looked dilapidated. Groups of feral dogs and donkeys roam all over the place and roads. There were donkey poop everywhere. Everything looks old and broken down. There was a quarry near the downtown area. Which was very dusty. Some of the salt flats had rancid odors and the water was stagnant. Some of the locals couldn’t understand English ( maybe they spoke pidgin English). The beaches were nice but some had coral reef in the bottom so it was dangerous to swim in.
We have a couple of cruises coming up and those cruises are not offering horseback riding excursions in Grand Turk. There are some 3rd party options available that you can find through a web search.
Absolutely! In fact, we rented a golf cart during one of our previous visits and wandered around the island. We made a video about our experience: ruclips.net/video/bPPvrVeeyY8/видео.html
No, you do not need a passport to visit while on a cruise. You just need to bring your ship's card and it's recommended that you bring your vaccination card.
@@mjsnow9413 If you're visiting via cruise ship and staying within the cruise center area (what we show in the video), you do *not* need a passport to visit Grand Turk. We just visited on two separate occasions in December and never had to show our passport. Also, nobody we traveled with had to show documents either and we did not see any of the hundreds of cruise passengers leaving/boarding the ships show any passports. The only time it would be recommended that you take a passport with you is if you're exiting the cruise center area to explore the rest of the island, such as renting a golf cart, etc. You would want your passport then in case of accident, etc. Hope this helps!
did you have to show your vaccine card in order to visit Grand Turk? Carnival states anyone over 18 must provide proof of vaccination to visit Grand Turk. Does not look like there is any type of entrance security.
Everything is handled by Carnival, not Grand Turk. You will need to provide proof of vaccination to Carnival. If Carnival does not have your proof of vaccination, they will not let you off the ship at Grand Turk. Our Jellybean's proof of vaccination got mixed up during one of our cruises and we could not disembark until we visited the Medical Center and got them to fix the clearance.
According to Carnival's current protocols, unvaccinated guests 18 and older will have to remain on board. You can check the Carnival website for more information and current updates.

Me too. When are you going? July for me.
Thank you for posting. I took notes since I will be visiting this port next year.
I love it at Grand Turk

Their water has a lot of rocks in it too.
I understand the saltwater. We live in Florida and I would take a pool over the beach any day. Does margaritaville have lockers and lounge chairs?

Our favorite stop!

As always, wonderful. Keep up good work.
super informative! we’ll be there tomorrow!!
Did you have to show proof of vax?
Thanks for a fabulous video!
Thank you, this is very informative.

Great vid. Thanks!👍
Thanks for the updates!
Wow. Good times.
Thanks for the update. Was there once before and will go again next year. Nice island!
great video! you mentioned the drink packages did not carry over onto the island. is that the same for food? any complimentary lunch? thanks.
Unfortunately, there is no complimentary lunch either. Hope this helps!
How much were the golf carts to rent? We will be there in July so I'd like to have a heads up if possible!

Do Jamaican need a visa to come there

It's a Third World Country! Like most Bahamas/Caribbean ports!!
Does anybody know if the horseback riding in the water is still an available excursion?
We have a couple of cruises coming up and those cruises are not offering horseback riding excursions in Grand Turk. There are some 3rd party options available that you can find through a web search.
How much are the clamshells
During our visit, prices were not posted, but we heard the vendors saying they cost $30.
Can you go to downtown with the golf cart?

Waste of $200 to rent a cabana. Not necessary
thanks for all the great tips!
