We always snorkel for 1/2 the day and then party at Margaritaville the 2nd half the day. I have been there 8 times and had a great time every single time. (at least the visits I can remember, Margaritaville is a good party in the afternoon!)
I want to thank you for mentioning excursions for mobility challenged folks. Never thought I'd need, but waiting on a hip replacement and cant walk far, so Im really appreciating when folks include. Cruise coming up to Mexico. Sounds like Medano Beach (think you did a review there) is pretty good/not much walking with tender/water taxi..I hope to do Grand Turk sometime soon!
We heard that the horses and donkeys were used when the salt mines were active and when they closed they just let them go.
We had so much fun at Grand Turk! We did spend some time at Margaritaville, but we had a blast on a 3-stop snorkeling trip. It was wonderful!
Thank you planning to visit on the Carnival Sunrise in July 2024.

We were to Grand Turk two years ago. We went to the beach right off the ship and Margaritaville until it was time to go back to the ship. Next time we go to Grand Turk we would like to see more of the island. The beach and Margaretiville were very nice.
We get off and head straight to Jack's Shack! Great lunch, great drinks and fantastic snorkeling!
Did you bring your own snorkel gear?

Sharon! Thank you so much! My daughter is cruising with me next March. She loves whales. I didn't even think whale watching was a thing in the Caribbean. I'll check that out for sure.

Thanks Sharon for the information, it was very helpful we are going there next year in October on the Mardi Gras. We went last year on the Vista but we wasn't that impressed and maybe it was because we didn't venture out to do anything .

Where do I go to go whale watching?
Where are good excursions to get besides with carnival any recommendations?
The family and I be there in February. Do you have any recommendation for someone using a medical scooter?
I would contact island trams limited. I have seen people in wheelchairs on their tours. They may be able to accommodate a scooter as well. Also you should be able to maneuver around the poor area with all the shops pretty easily in a scooter.
Are there lockers near the beach?
Bet you didn't know it's British. I met and talked with an old lady who met Queen Elizabeth when she visited, can you imagine doing that kind of thing in the chaos of all those overweight loud American tourists?
