Amazed you could make a ten minute video for Grand Turk. The two times me and my family went there, we found ourselves walking to the shops, and then doing a U-Turn back to the boat
Visited on Mardi Gras on 8-3-23. I actually went swimming on SouthBeach since it was less crowded. Enjoyed shopping at Ron Jon's and met new friends at Starbucks. The bathrooms are serviced and very clean! Beautiful tropical island but the summer sun was blazing! Friendly local people too.🏝🩷💚
Weird. Im stopping here on RC Independence of the Seas April 8th, but it's only a Carnival port.. maybe because Labadee was cancelled, and they worked something out with Carnival to go there as a substitute.
Guessing RCL has contracted with Carnival while Labadee is out of the question due to unrest. A number of RCL cruises ik 2024 coming to Grand Turk to replace Labadee
@@TravelingFlamingo Thank you for that information. I am going to Provo on 6/22 and was wanting to travel to Grand Turk to see the shops. I will check the cruise schedule
I just left this port last Thursday and this was the worst post ever, nothing to do. Took a tour outside of the port and it was boring. Went to the lighthouse and paid $3 to look at it. We couldn’t go into the lighthouse like one of the taxi drivers told us. If I have to book another cruise with this port, I’ll just stay on ship
I agree. Rented golf cart. Waste of money. Margaritaville is not all that I can swim in a pool at home. We go back in January and I’m not looking forward to it. One of our toner stops is Aruba so I don’t want to cancel
I went there in January of 2023 and just sat on the beach in the shade and drank $5 rum punch made by the locals and swam in the most beautiful water I ever saw.
Been there three times and never even realized there was a nasa thing or the giant whale. We are going again in a couple weeks and I will make sure to check those out with the kids. Also I think we are going to do the downtown tour with the beach day since its only 3.5 hours and we can still enjoy the port after.
We've never had our passport stamped in Caribbean ports (we have in Europe) but generally no. Were from Canada however so perhaps we have some agreements but customs didn't come on the ship nor did any official (minus the cruise line security) interact with us at all. Hope that helps Daniela! Happy Travels.
Cruising was known for experiencing foreign culture, enjoying onboard entertainment and good services, most of which have disappeared. These fake ports are in insult.
I'm so disappointed. Should've done more research. My siblings and our families are going next month. I should've stuck to my guns and booked a cruise where we could be around locals. 😮💨
We rented a golf cart…outside the port, and went roaming around the island. We went to a beach were there was hardly anyone there. We went to a shop and spent time taking to the wonderful mom, daughter and granddaughter that ran the store. The granddaughter was about 2 and I had a blast playing with her for a bit. (Yes I am one of those grandmas). We had a blast just visiting while we bought some items. One lady on the beach was selling some cute bracelets and we bought some for my grandkids. She gave us an island blessing, which was interesting…but I can always use more blessing. It was a great experience and had a lot of fun
I love this port free pool free beach day I spent no money here just have fun go back to ship for lunch and get off and have lots of fun
Yes! We LOVE Grand Turk! 🌴🛳☀️
We did too! The water was amazing 🌊
That looks like a great spot to spend a day, as always great detail
It is.
Come you'll meet me and have great drinks✅

It isn’t for everyone. We really enjoyed the beach :) 🏖️
Better than Nassau
@davidfence6939 Never got the chance to go there. I cannot confirm nor deny whether or not it's true lol
@@tresrules16543Nassau is definitely better
Going in may, was on the fence about booking an excursion for this port and your video was so informative! Thanks

Interesting. Thanks for the update.
Is is safe to rent a golf cart or jeep from outside the cruise port?
Do you have any information about the port being open, when there are NO cruise ships in?
My understanding is when there is no cruise ship the stores are not open.

How much are the clamshells

We’re going from April 1-6.
Do you know if you still have to be vaccinated to get off at Turks And Caicos?
Not as of April 1st
do you get a passport stamped here?

Did you have to pay to use the pool ?
I heard them say it’s included! Sign me up for free pool and beach :)
It’s free pool and free beach day been there many times love it
I’m with your sister and never swim in anything but a pool😱😂
Lol 🏊♀️
I thought this was Turks and Caicos’s 😂😂😂

You really can’t get that at all with large ship cruising.
