Google maps. I'd research points of interest ahead of time and save them in favorites before the trip. But it's just starting point. Maps still worked on most of the island. Plus the island is small.
I believe it goes by size, so a four seater will be slightly less than a 6 and so on. Some of these companies have websites where you can get a current comparison.@dionnem4533
We did a full day, which was basically about 1/2 hour before boarding the ship. Check with the vendor to make sure your hours of use will work with them.
Really good info. Thank you!!!! Looking forward to renting a golf cart because of this video!
Great! It's an adventure to be sure, but worth it. Really fun!
Were there enough carts do you believe for everyone on the ship or do you believe only a few will get to go?
I would assume supply is limited. There's also different companies offering carts, with a limited supply.@@thegoodguy4037
Wonderful information. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome!
So which beach would you pick next time? I like knowing there are restrooms nearby, so what do you think about going straight to Governors Beach?
That sounds fine. Not the prettiest beach, but the water is clear and there are lots of services. Plus it's close to port.
Did the island seem safe? Been looking up things about it and can’t get a clear answer on this particular island.
We certainly felt safe when we were there. Didn't encounter an issues at all.
@ thanks for the reply. Was getting mixed reviews looking on google. But seemed it was talking about the other islands near by.
Thanks!!
You're welcome!
How do you navigate from place to place?
Google maps. I'd research points of interest ahead of time and save them in favorites before the trip. But it's just starting point. Maps still worked on most of the island. Plus the island is small.
Can you take the golf cart down to Jack’s shack at the end of the beach?
Sorry, we didn't go that way. According to Google maps, there's a road that leads there, but can't speak to if it's open or not.
soon as you get off the cruise pier turn left and walk down the beach 200 yards and your there, no need for a cart.
Is it worth renting a cart for 1/2 a day? We plan on doing a snorkeling trip in the morning. Will we still have time to see most of the island?
I would. The island is small and worth exploring. It's also more time efficient.
Was there carts that would hold 7 adults? Or 6 max?
We did see any like that for 6 or 7 adults. We could squeeze folks in ours because of the kids. But it's pretty tight.
$180 was for any cart or did it depend on the seats?
I believe it goes by size, so a four seater will be slightly less than a 6 and so on. Some of these companies have websites where you can get a current comparison.@dionnem4533
Would you recommend the golf company you used or did you see another company you would do instead
The company we used was fine. We didn't encounter any issues.
How many hours is the rental for?
We did a full day, which was basically about 1/2 hour before boarding the ship. Check with the vendor to make sure your hours of use will work with them.
