I spent 15 years in the banking business and I am here to tell you that you CANNOT spend your way out of debt
Winston Churchill said that no country could tax its way out of debt without seriously damaging itself.
Canada has been in debt since 1867.
If you know anything about banking, you know governments borrow at better rates than anyone. If they don’t borrow for us, the debt gets passed to citizens. And then THAT means investment slows, big ticket products take longer to buy and household debt skyrockets. Pick your poison, folks. Economics is about compromises. 🤷🏾♂️
WTF guys, look at how much wind and solar AB has compared to other provinces ... open your eyes and minds.
RPJ You asked me - Do I feel better?
@RealTalkRJ I keep watching you. I actually find you compelling, entertaining and likeable. I just really wish you could take the next few steps in mentality progression. I find a lot of "independents" have a mentality more in tune with truth and decidedly less focussed on the polarity of ideals. I'm no liberal and I am no conservative. Some could say my ideas fit those silos but the silo comes after the ideal. And the ideal is based upon experience, truth, hereditary and evolutionary facts. I find myself watching your channel very closely. I've read up on your career and past employ. I just cannot see your agenda clearly because you're the one with your hand on the lens we look through each episode and it is all over the place. Take the Pleb or Sunshine Baby for example... crystal clear and real. Sophsticated? Not particularly. Conservative agenda? Yes. Your Real Talk show? Liberal? Left? Socialist? Well damned well say so matey. But stop with the on the fence crap. Orient your zipper matey. If your going to try to be the next holier than thou Adler of Alberta you've got a tough row to hoe. Are the ideals going to outweigh the truth? Unlikely. You put yourself in that position and it is errant. When you consider the overwhelming truth the world is seeing these days and the prevalent wisdoms that ensue from parliamentary inquiries, the Munk Debates, intellectually sound conveyance of ideas from folk like O'Leary, Fry, Rubin, Murray, Peterson and yes Danielle Smith and Poilievre - your commentary comes in as second grade and quite frankly I can just feel that you're better than that. Submit dude or if you cannot, hit the books, spend some time with some history, fact or maybe a double hit of lsd maybe - but mate, raise your game.
So do I feel better? I will when the disservice to the truth is done and over.
Most Canadians want government out of our pockets . Especially our investments for retirement. Now that would be fair to seniors which are not only ignored but penalized in this budget for having bought a retirement cottage, or made smart investments.Did Trudeau pay taxes on his inheritance and hide his trust fund termendously since being P.M. But this will hurt the working middle class who are retiring now on a fixed budget, or rather thought they could.
"We will continue to carry out our well-reasoned and non-partisan policy advocacy as a federally registered charity."
Quoted from the Pembina Institute - take note MacDougall.
I missed how having 2 conservative think tanks guests is providing different opinons
Pembina is a conservative think tank? Disability Without Poverty, too? -rpj
@@RealTalkRJ Pembina and Fraser Institute. Pembina compared to Fraser is less conservative, but they still get a large portion of funding from Shell, and Suncor. That doesn't exactly make then impartial.
Budget is not favour on middle class or poor
Good for wealthy folks
Jake is a here and now thinking, and use of common sense, Scott is clearly a liberal thinker, thinking of far in the future and climate and energy, like JT fantasy thinking.
Who is this first guest trying to kid? If it wasn't for O +G the Feds would have had a bigger negative bottom line.
Vaping is so much healthier for you than smoking.
Maybe, however, it's less damaging. Not healthy.
Healthier...but not healthy. (We don't judge!) -rpj
Debt increase because of this Budget we are all losers, Big spending = inflation = higher interest rates = more food bank visitors
💯 %
This guy doesn’t have a clue. Alberta carries Canada.
I think the Fraser institute has more common sense.
The Fraser Institute has bad policy ideas that don't help. Privatization, and deregulation, which aren't a success.
Mike Harris, a former PC premier of Ontario, is involved with the Fraser Institute. How did it turn out when he was premier of that province? Extremely badly.
Don't rock the boat big daddy Castro jr will get mad and take your funding
This is a podcast. You forgot about that fact.
Can't stand these derpy comments. You obviously know we don't receive a red cent...but we pay a shitload of tax! -rpj
"We're gonna get real" says Jesperson.
No Ryan you're not. "Real" means morality. "Real" means ethics. "Real" means truth and not taking a standpoint that is either liberal or conservative, left or right, woke or not woke.
Ryan, that you purport to be "real" is a dishonest misrepresentation. You are distinctly non conclusionary, you are a professional pot stirrer and the only redeeming aspect of what you do is that you might actually just be ignorant and blind as opposed to intentionally cloaking your polarity. (But what am I saying - I know in my heart that this is not the case). I am a subscriber to your channel, but only so that I can ensure I absorb the good and the bad of what the small independent Canadian RUclipsrs are doing. This would include Mr Sunshine Baby, Rebel News, The Pleb, National Telegraph (YYC), True North and several more.
You do cleverly frame issues in a manner that seems like an objective thrust; but then you end up massaging your personal agenda into the topic and this is evident as you bring in the odious Adler frequently. Trudeau could have included himself into a non mainstream pod cast RUclips environment but you were the one that "got" the interview / servile sycophant session. Why? Your channel growth is like molasses in January. You got the Trudeau session because you are a lefty and not because you are "Real". This is not "Real Talk".
When you consider right wing hackery as middle of the road of course you'll see everything as left.
Agree with most of what you have addressed, Ryan has had conservative guests kind of like 1 out of 4, had the Premier on but made sure to have a guest on right after to attack her, Adler is an old right off, that is a pure leftist hates anything conservative, but gets a spot every Monday for at least a 1/2 hr dont see a conservative getting that every Tuesday. But most of his fans are UCP or Danielle Smith haters he has to appease the shows base group.
Great word salad you made there.
@@dwaynewladyka577 If you don't comprehend things, that doesn't make it a word salad.
@@SpringRoad-ix2ps Morality and ethics are right & left, whether woke or for sheeple. :P Do you think there's a higher centrist truth claim?
