No matter how often people say PLC writes the same piece over and over again, they’re never bad pieces. They’re always really well-done and exciting to listen to (and as a brass player myself, fun to play)
I shall never forget the goose pimples and euphoria experienced when Nicholas Childs joined the band on stage, then - without preamble - launched straight into this at the Christmas concert at Huddersfield Town Hall 2022 😁 40 days and counting to 17th Dec and our new tradition! 🎺🎺🎺🙌🙌🙌

It is a concert in New York alongside the New York Staff Band which is the local brass band of the Salvation Army and was waiting for his turn on the stage. My son played the soprano cornet...

@@MethodFire01 It's basically the same simple theme repeated five times, and just to make it difficult, he added some random semiquaver runs. I wouldn't call it garbage, but it's certainly primitive.
@@GordonHugenay but perhaps there's a purpose to the primitive, that they might focus more on the technical difficulty?
