I had a few cornet lessons with Richard in 2020, can confirm he always sounds this good!

I think this goes to show, it's not the horn, but the person who is playing the horn, that makes the music sound so glorious. Richard, that brought a tear to my eyes. Some day, I hope we meet.

@William M No, not really. They are tuned differently than normal, so they are really difficult to deal with unless you saw off some of the tubing or whatever.

The essence of pure cornet sound, in my humble opinion: clear, bright, perfectly pitched, beautiful phrasing. Wonderful playing by a true artist. (Great accompaniment by the pianist as well.)

Totally interested in replacing my Besson Prestige with a Geneva Cardinal Cornet asap. As Richard is a Geneva artist, is there a selection of those cornets that Richard handpicked? I played the Geneva Cardinal at Butlins in 2020 at the vendor there and was totally impressed with how easy it played! Where would I go to get a Richard Marshall "approved" Geneva Cardinal Cornet?

@@timothyoldroyd3528 That's great..I would certainly trust a cornet approved by Richard! Is there an email that I can use to contact the factory about purchase? I'm based in the U.S. (Ohio) and unfortunately there are not many retailers for these wonderful cornets.
