As a Russian, I can say: please don't get upset, most Russians just don't know much about India and think only in stereotypes. India is very little mentioned in Russian society. People who are at least a little bit interested in history of other countries know that India is one of the greatest civilizations. From my own experience I can add that Indian philosophy has given me a completely different view of life

Russian people and almost all foreigner do not have a good impression about India. What foreigners think about India is that some of them are true and some are stereotyped. Some people used to think Russia is India's best friend can get hurt 😂. Remember in international politics it is interest of a countries that makes them friend and foe. Their is no place of emotions. No country can run on emotion. We really need to keep our emotions out of our mind and follow India first principle while we are taking about international politics.
