I live in Milan (am from Sweden though) and am going to Delhi tomorrow so I loved seeing this video! It will be my fourth longer stay in India, I study Hindi and Indian culture. Fun to watch and happy to see that the interviewees had quite a lot of interesting inputs, knowledge and only positive attitude towards India.

There would be heaps of veggo options. I would recommend trying, chole bhatura (fried bread with chickpeas), veg or paneer momos (type of dumplings) and pav bhaji (bread with mashed vegetables) 🙂

Arrived in Delhi yesterday and a friend brought me out for lunch, I ordered a masa onion raghi dosa for me and as amazing as it is I realized I should have taken something smaller! My friend ordered a navratri special biryani that was fantastically flavorful and probably a healthier option, so I might take that next time. The joy of shopping fresh papaya and mango for breakfast as well as top quality green loose teas is also just wow. Of course I´m not here (just) for food, but food here is on a completely different level than in Europe.

A lot to learn there. I watched a vlog by a historian and demograph. The 2nd smallest fertility rate in Italy. The are happy if people live in Italy and buy 1E houses (and rennovate them....). But they are not happy, if these new inhabitants are from Africa (at least, in the North..). In the South there was a welcome attitude. For a while.... (empty villages). This historian says, that - according to scholars - the South of italy is part of Africa and always has been. So, the discrimination against a group and democratic values is the same in India as in Italy. Italy is a young "nation". They have always been fighting for the regional independence. They talk with their hands, but not in the North. At least, I have not seen anyone during my recent trip through the North.

In Italy we use "burro chiarificato" (clarified butter) to fry several foods, that is pretty much the same thing.
