I lived and worked in India. In 1969 Oriana Fallaci, a great Italian journalist, was in Varanasi; from there she wrote a letter to her mother in Florence. She wrote: "India is a madness that leaves you breathless". For me India is where the soul of mankind lies.
I live in Milan (am from Sweden though) and am going to Delhi tomorrow so I loved seeing this video! It will be my fourth longer stay in India, I study Hindi and Indian culture. Fun to watch and happy to see that the interviewees had quite a lot of interesting inputs, knowledge and only positive attitude towards India.
@@addykhaneja :-) food in Delhi is one of the (many) reasons for loving the city. As a vegetarian its fantastic, this time that I´m plantbased I hope to still find lots of healthy options (but of course I will also have pani puri, fried stuff etc.).
There would be heaps of veggo options. I would recommend trying, chole bhatura (fried bread with chickpeas), veg or paneer momos (type of dumplings) and pav bhaji (bread with mashed vegetables) 🙂
@@addykhaneja chole bhatura is one of my absolute favorites, so much that I regularly cook it in Italy (without bhatura though and served with lots of vegetables). A lot to learn there. I watched a vlog by a historian and demograph. The 2nd smallest fertility rate in Italy. The are happy if people live in Italy and buy 1E houses (and rennovate them....). But they are not happy, if these new inhabitants are from Africa (at least, in the North..). In the South there was a welcome attitude. For a while.... (empty villages). This historian says, that - according to scholars - the South of italy is part of Africa and always has been. So, the discrimination against a group and democratic values is the same in India as in Italy. Italy is a young "nation". They have always been fighting for the regional independence. They talk with their hands, but not in the North. At least, I have not seen anyone during my recent trip through the North.
