Im absolutely devastated by this news. I used Dex all the time, if not multiple times a day because I can access my personal phone via my work windows laptop, and really keep all of my personal email and messaging and web surfing confined to my phones virtual desktop. There are times when I would maximize the Dex screen and just use my monitor, keyboard and mouse work from my phone. I didn't like phone link and the other software you mentioned because I found them too clunky. I very rarely need to send files or data between my phone and laptop so I don't really need those. I hope they reconsider. I hope they don't remove functionality, just leave existing windows Dex functionality as it is and don't develop it any more. Anything is better than nothing.

The downside is that it the two devices won't have any integration with each other and it will be up to the KVM to control the switching between the 2.

This is extremely unfortunate. I am a teacher and use 5 different PCs at work which I share with others. I've been using DEX as a laptop replacement. Link to Windows is not really an option and flow seems very limited. I don't think I'll be upgrading.
Video is kinda misleading DEX is unaffected as a standalone feature where you just plug the phone to a monitor and keyboard and mouse.... it's only the program that you launch thru a windows pc and there is still alternatives if that's what you were used of doing
@clips_from_everything So I can either carry my own keyboard and mice (very inconvenient), constantly be disconnecting and reconnecting the existing peripherals of the PC (very inconvenient), or what alternative? It's not just about moving files around but also using phone apps fullscreen.
I really really hope this is not the beginning of the end of DEX. Since I use DEX daily with my Xreal glasses since the first Nreal Air models, for mobile use, DEX has become more or less my default platform for desktop use. After commuting by train working on Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with AR glasses and wireless keyboard, I tend to go further on a PC with DEX when I arrive at the office. And even back at home I prefer to have the same DEX desktop to go on. DEX now has become such a standard in my workflow that some Windows applications have just become my 'specialties' while for everything else I prefer DEX with the Google tools and Android apps for productivity on the most compact computer that I have: my Samsung smartphone. My expectations and hopes were that Samsung would level up DEX in future generations, instead of downgrading functionality like what's happening now. This Samsung move gives me the bitter taste that I had when they stopped with VR Gear line of products, just after I bought their VR glasses, 360 camera and software tools. I really really hope Samsung does understand that DEX is one of those unique selling points that separates them from other manufacturers in the market. The signs are alarming though!
Thanks to Dex on Windows, I have been able to recue photos from phones with broken screen before sending them to warranty. It also saved me when my S21 Ultra went into black screen, but the rest of the phone was working.
When I travel, I am having a windows device with me for work. In case I need dex then it just works. Without dex for pc I have to carry a portable display too (l already have a few) and a keyboard. This is anything but convenient.
I am A strong dex for pc user. I use this software on the daily at home and work. The Dex on PC seems cleaner than link to windows. When using link to windows you loose the functionality of using your phone independently that's my biggest gripe. Dex to PC will surely be missed.
I use Dex quite a bit, screen mirroring, phone and messaging apps to control while I'm editing spreadsheets. Tried to get Flow to work but couldn't get verification on the PC to complete what it is doing.
never even knew that there is a samsung dex for pc, since ive been using link to windows since i had my samsung a51. will definitely check that one on my s24 ultra atm, haha
They might be starting the end of life for that feature and starting with Windows piece. It’s going to piss off a lot of their customers. I will be pissed to the point of selling all my Samsung devices
@donniethesportsguy893 I agree! I'm looking at the S25 Ultra and possibly a new Galaxy tab in by 2026 and DEX is the standout feature above all other manufacturers for me. If Samsong Kills Dex, then I'll consider going to Apple. I just connected my Wife's ipad to a monitor, keyboard and mouse via a docking station and the end result was ok. It's nowhere near as gret as Dex, but it's a start. If apple keeps developing this over the next couple versions of iOS and iPadOS I may jump ship if Dex is gone. At this point, these phones and tablets are way more similar than they used to be, and the full eccosystem usages are awesome for both.
@lars916 overall, I'm thinking Apple & Samsung ecosystems. Without Dex, Apple and Samsung phones and tablets are starting to resemble each other. I'm waiting to see what happens in another 2 years.
One of our biz partner used to be a loyal Samsung user since 2014 he breaks the chain aka ditched Samsung right after they copied apple for not including the charging bricks.. He was rich as hell too and I'm glad he still got a common sense on the stupidity.. He told me No charger on $1000+ cellphone? What an overpriced phone and gave the brand a new nickname "stingy"
Dex on windows cannot be replaced by those alternatives. I'm so disappointed. I don't want to use Dex on a TV, or another display monitor, I want it right here in the mix of my PC flow with my same mouse and keyboard, all the sound and visuals together. Big L for Samsung users. Big middle finger to Samsung.
I was gutted when i watched you talking about DEX not working on windows any longer. Then u said Link to windows, Which i use daily anyway an never thought about it being a windows alternative to DEX in how Samsung promote it. I did like that when i broke my screen right on the number i needed to tap when getting into my phones security confirmation. I was able to resolve this using DEX.
Obviously too late for you, but another option might have been to connect a keyboard or mouse to the phone to hit the button. It's a bit weird, but you can use a little adapter to use pretty much any usb mouse or keyboard in the USB port of the phone.
@sketch2002 it was a while back but was really good to have that option as if u have used dex on ur phone previously then u can plug it in without confirming on your phone. I removed my unlock security access to use the phone to access my stuff. Its probably just as easy with link to windows. Thank you for replying.
I use Dex every single day in my work environment. I connect my phone to the computer, allowing me to respond to and read emails, texts, and WhatsApp messages without holding my phone in my hand. This way, I avoid getting into trouble for using my phone while at the office. It’s truly a bad news for me.
i'm actually one of the people who uses it as a mini computer/laptop. they remove this and samsung is out for me. i find this very convenient, can edit videos, do signatures, documents, edit photos on the go.
Dex was huge when I found out it was on my new samsung which was my first samsung. Love it - not so much for pc but, to connect to tv and be able to have an almost computer environment as well as simply big screen instead of small phone so for watching movies etc is ace and even video calls etc. Its incredible built in software.
great video! If you don´t run some more especific aplications that required Windows or Mac OS, my recomendation is to move to a Samsung Tablet or Samsung book, the benefits are limitless, and the conectivity simeless, I was a Windows user but almost two months ago move to a Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra as my personal working device and Iˋm very pleased with the change... Greetings from Guatemala City.
Honestly, this doesn't affect me because, I can't even upgrade to one UI 7. Dex on windows should still work if you already have it installed. So it's not really a big deal. It just sucks for a newer phones that come out
This might be the last straw for me. I'm so tired of Samsung discontinuing things that I liked and was using. At this point you never know if Samsung is going to continue with a feature or not. At this point, the stylus is the last thing that Samsung has left that makes it unique from other phones.
Dex and Knox are the reasons I went to Samsung. Crazy how cool Knox is where you can install another version of whatever app which works completely isolated and behind strict security measures to open up
They are ONLY getting rid of the Windows app because there’s already Phone Link and Samsung Flow, so there’s just too many apps to support. And if you want to use it “on PC”, just connect the phone to the monitor wired.
That's the problem, they should've get rid of samsung flow. If you want to work outside you only connect the phone and that's it, but now it's hard and insecure using a wifi from public places for using DeX 😢
When my screen on my old phone was cracked, before I was able to get it repaired, Samsung DEX was SO USEFUL!! I was able to completely use my phone while the screen was mostly unusable, (I just had to be able to tap "Launch" on the bottom of the phone's screen.). Link to Windows isn't the same for this type of functionality. This makes me unhappy that they're getting rid of DEX on Windows. I'll have to check out Samsung Flo, I guess.
Samsung just pushed a DeX update at me. Says it only works with One UI 7. I'm running an S22, so I'm on version 6.1. Based on this, I'm thinking DeX is still going to be around, but something about One UI 7 is a better interface. I also understand, 7 will be updated on my s22 in January.
honestly, I used Dex Primary from windows. I used to say what they made was the future of desktop PCs. Now i'm just disappointed in Samsung, and think they're making a terrible mistake.
This is one of the reasons I feel we can't upgrade devices anymore, with every update we are afraid of losing something, either be a feature, such as second screen, basic performance, turning your device into a wagon, or removing permissions, like asking "are you sure?" with everything you need to do in a device, and force you to wait 10 seconds to click yes, on top of that, sometimes ask you, like 3 times...
I appreciate the coverage. As usual with digital devices, buy a feature, and it gets removed or deprecated. Just like Google Assistant on Wear OS, which is in shambles due to the shift to Gemini, meaning they downsized the Assistant department. Samsung is in a cost cutting mode, partly because of problems with their semiconductor production, which has an effect on general cost cutting across a wide range of activities. So through this move Samsung reduces complexity and cost at their end. It's just one of many activities scaled back. It's covered in the business news.
It certainly seems like the removal of functionality that their recommended alternatives don't replace. DeX for PC allowed you to efectively use a Windows PC as a lapdock. There isn't a replacement for that. I wonder if Microsoft were behind this as I can imagine they want their OS front and centre.
I have a Motorola Edge Plus and ran into the feature. It really is a useful feature and will tell you there’s an incoming call or a missed call. Works with any Android phone on Windows 10. Don’t know requirements for Windows 11.
now there is no reason to buy samsung phones anymore, "dex for windows" was the biggest reason samsung was the mobile device of choice at my company... we are about 100 employees who regularly use "dex for windows"... now it is all becoming just as cumbersome to use as on other android brands... so why buy samsung in the future when there is no advantage to it anymore...

First time I heard about this, I thought that it was the hole Dex function in the device but when after you explained it I feel relieved. I only tested that dex on windows and not really used it. But I love the built in dex function and use it almost daily. Dex is the main reason to why I not get a Sony. But I find it sad that it is not very well known and spread. Those special magazines about Samsung does not mention dex at all. I imagine that if there are very few users of it they might drop dex all all together. I tried to use it by plugging the phone to a HP laptop docking unit but the monitors did not work, but network, keyboard and mouse did and got my phone charged. Have another kind of docking solution for my laptop at home that is a usb c hubb and that do work with my phone and S9 tablet. It do work with tab s6 too. I find it strange that this kind of function is not more wide spread now when our phones are so powerful. Light office work is no problem. Thank you for a showing the other apps, some I haven't thought of. BTW, do Samsung have some kind user statics for how Dex is been used?
Im really annoyed by Samsung discontinuing Dex for PC. Its one of the coolest features on my Galaxy phone. Not only that, but when you run DeX on a tablet using a dock with external screen and mouse and keyboard, the phone wirelessly joins the Dex environment, and the mouse can move onto the phone screen too. The cool stuff that Samsung did with Dex made it the easiest way to integrate the phone with the PC environment. I hate using Link to Windows because i have two devices: a phone and a tablet. And switching devices in Link to Windows is not a quick process. Its hidden in settings.
Dex is the most useful feature of samsung. I didnt use it on windows but its dissapointing that they stopped trying to expand its capabilities.. i can only hope they still updated the dex for tv
I remember using Moto roll phone tools in the days of the clamshell phones and it was a good introduction to certain types of file management tools. Perhaps this would be a good subject for a future video. With love and respect from Canada.
I don't understand why they are removing something that could just be there without updating. I have rarely used it but it's one of the reasons I opted for the Note or Ultra series: I want it to be available whenever I feel like using it.
I just got Xreal glasses, and it works with DEX which is awesome, you have your portable monitor/cinema anywhere, and it is 75gramm. As the glasses colors are oversaturated, are you aware of any kind of settings in DEX or in the phone (fold 3) which can adjust the video output?
I hope they reconsider this one. I understand why they are doing it but having logged in microsoft account is the requirement for using the Windows alternative app. And obviously I don't like to login my account everywhere, on every pc, home, work, parents house... Yes you can start Dex directly from phone without having windows, but than you can't be on the same PC and phone at the same time...
I love DeX! I use it regularly and would hope Samsung doesn't give up on it but continues to improve more and more. It's so useful for typical computing tasks like checking emails, browsing the web and research, word docs, some excel work, etc.
Nice of Sammy to deprecate yet another feature people use. The enshitification continues unabated. At any rate, must Samsung Flow be running minimized for all this to work, or can it just run in the background once the devices are paired?
That's bad news again. First the first steps to get rid of side panel, now this. Last year they introduced a new DeX mode in tablets I still don't like. They introduced the tablet task bar which still can't replace the side panel either and its user interaction is still far inferior to the Apple iPad counterpart. Now they discontinue DeX for Windows. I tried Link for Windows before but it's no real alternative. I didn't use Samsung flow. I knew it exists years ago but thought it to be discontinued for years. Apparently it isn't but if it were that great they wouldn't have introduced DeX for Windows or Link to Windows. Unfortunately this all shows that Samsung never tries to develop something to perfection, instead tries again and again to offer something new which doesn't work great either. If there is a new OS version you're always afraid to get to know which beloved feature goes down the drain. Samsung never actively promoted DeX though it was a truly amazing feature since Galaxy S8 no-one else could offer. Seems they have no love for DeX. I'm in Samsung cosmos for a over a decade now but know Apple as well. Apple wouldn't do this - so I'm quite disappointed of Samsung (again) ... Appreciate your video though a lot to at least talk about this
I can see this being useful on corporate laptop. Most of the organizations blocked USB access which makes the pairing almost impossible. Authentication via cloud probably the most convenient and easier for IT to dept whitelist / block the access
I've played around with DeX a few times on my PC, but never found any use for it. The one time I had use for DeX was when one of my computers died and I connected my phone to a usb hub to comfortably write on a big screen.
Well to start with I dont feel linking and therefore giving windows more access to your phone is something I want to do. Sad if Samsing is playing along with that. To me DeX was awesome the way it is. Options seem either limited or too intrusive.
There's a built-in app on Windows PC's called Wireless Display which enables you to cast Dex to PC, from my experience you'd need to connect a separate mouse to the phone but if your PC has touch screen, that works too.
I remember a demo of a gaming phone dock that was basically a laptop shell, a screen and a keyboard where the docked phone acted as a touchpad! Genius! If the dock was adjustable to various phones with a phone specific module this could be a laptop replacement for basic tasks!
I actually love the link. I love to see my android app floating side-by-side with my windows app. But i hope it add the support to connect via cable, dut to the laggy issue caused by bad wifi or network.
Hello Daniel! First of all, thank you for your video and contents as always. Second: That possibilites which you showed to us is working, yes, but there is a big "trouble" with these. If you want to use a Notes which is locked by code/fingerprint, you can not see it, because "link to windows" and "samsung flow" will not show the locked notes. It's anoying to me. I used dex with my Windows pc every day and this will be a big trouble for me.
What sort of laptop have you got? If it's a Samsung one, you can get Samsung Notes for it. Otherwise you can launch Samsung Notes on link to windows and acces all your Notes screen mirrored on the laptop screen
@techwithbenefits Thank you for your answer. I use HP, not a samsung. Yes, unfortunatelly the Notes not supported anymore on any windows pc only on samsung. I used before they removed this support. And if I start Notes app on link to windows is working. And I can edit notes well but just that notes which are not locked. If you try you will see. Just lock a note any note and then try to open it via link to windows. You will see an "error" message.
No worries, you'll still be able to do it. I just copy and paste my other post here. Start the out-of-the-box Windows App "Wireless display" under windows 11 ("Connect" under Windows 10), start DeX on phone/tablet and connect it to your PC. It is a bit slower than Dex for Windows (depends on your computer), but otherwise it runs well. Touchscreen works, speaker works, keyboard works, mouse strangely not). But if you had a Galaxy book m even drag &drop would work through multi-control. And unlike DeX for Windows it runs also without being forced tovdeactivte Phone Link and Multi-control.
I use it all the time @ work, and it’s the main reason I’ve stuck with the Note/Galaxy series. Looks like I’ll be watching phone comparisons' again next year.😢

I'm sooo disappointed and shocked... Samsung, you can't just ruin our life like that! It's not all about supply and demand, you should do the right thing. PLEASE DON'T
I'm using this feature everyday at work. By connecting my samsung phone to my work windows laptop, I have my phone for personal use but using the laptop for work. All on the same docking monitor with keyboard/mouse and headset. I will miss this feature dearly.
Interesting insight's as Motorola has rebranded and stayed commited with Smart Connect's integration and features with windows. Using Link to windows together is no drama either.
Samsung DeX isn't going anywhere, they only removed the PC support for it, DeX itself isn't going anywhere for another couple of years until they come up with something similar again
I am a dex user.. i am gona miss that functionality so badly.. its one of the gems of the samsung flagships.. awsome feature being discontinued.. super disappointing..
Thank you! And I most certainly am. They are so convenient and offer a really consistent sound quality too. Work great for my phone, Osmo Pocket 3 & Sony A6700!
Thanks for the overview, Daniel. Great detail. Do you think DeX will still remain on Samsung laptops? I am contemplating purchasing a new laptop and if DeX will remain on the Samsung Laptops I will consider purchasing that. Thanks!
I hear you and would like to believe you (that DeX is safe), but I'm skeptical. The last major update for DeX was "New DeX" and it was pretty poorly received. Native DeX needs work, things like better tile managing, workspace or virtual desktop implementation, removal of the top navigation bar on windows... but we really just see stability updates. At least that's all I see as someone who daily drives DeX and doesn't use a laptop anymore.
My MAJOR question is - will I still be able to hook-up my phone to my non-WiFi PC at work and still use the cellular connection of my phone circumventing the internet connection of the PC which will NOT flag the IT department of my company? Will this still work with a USB cable connection? As far as I know "Link to PC" only works via WiFi connection which is a NO-GO at work for me. This is a loss for me!
I hate how they keep messing up Dex, it is my main set up and with the latest update some sites are not scaling up properly(and no, zooming doesn't help) on external monitor. I won't be updating my tablet again until I'm sure the update is a good one.
The big problem with Samsung is that it doesn't advertise its features. So many people have phones and don't know anything about dex. I think that if more people knew about it they would use it.
It's not bad to use Link to Windows. It's good to keep Samsung Dex when connecting it to the monitor. What's more, I think the new interface should be One UI for tablets and rival iPad OS with a friendly touch interface and by connecting it to a monitor like a Windows OS or MacOS. 👍🏻👏🏻
Have been using Samsung DeX on Windows for a few years for work. Just loved the UI, going between DeX on one screen and Windows on the others. I have an S22+ and have been looking at upgrading, NOT NOW!!! Not after this. Bye Samsung!
It reminds me of Windows phone which could also be connected via dock station to an external monitor/tv. Though this is an obvious idea to save money on gadgets, that became basically redundant, may be the industry doesn´t like that idea for that same reason. The BIG tech jump in last years was actually the cloud.
I use Dex on my galaxy tab's screen and I like the ability to use Dex with my phone when the internet goes out. I've never used the link to windows version, though.
Is it going to be compatible with Google workspace, as DEX is a unique feature that I'm sure will affect a lot of people in connecting to a PC, to continue work efficiently? Thanks for the update and video.
I've been using Windows link to PC. It was half decent before, but ever since they introduced wireless file sharing at boot up, I now literally have to do nothing extra to connect my phone to the PC. I can search for and copy and paste files between my PC and my phone, all from my PC. I think thats great... long overdue but great nonetheless. DEX feels a bit janky to me when I wirelessly connect my phone to a projector and try to use the software. I'm still in awe of its functionalities, like using the phone screen as a mouse, but I think some more work is required to work out the little kinks for a smoother experience in that respect.
The problem with Samsung flow is that you have to download it on the laptop or desktop to use it's feature. But with Samsung Dex, you can just plug it in, and you can instantly use it.
Dex for windows only worked for Samsung laptops. I wanted to install Samsung dex and required the windows machine to have the app setup, so the benefits where sub minimal

@clips_from_everything So I can either carry my own keyboard and mice (very inconvenient), constantly be disconnecting and reconnecting the existing peripherals of the PC (very inconvenient), or what alternative? It's not just about moving files around but also using phone apps fullscreen.
You could get a 15.6 inch portable screen, BT keyboard and mouse for all your dex use cases
@@R1CK_54NCH3Z So basically a laptop, but in separate parts. Why would I need DEX then?
you're right dude... it's not convenient anymore, this was a L move by samsung... I don't like it at all
I really really hope this is not the beginning of the end of DEX.
I did the same sad to see this go
When I travel, I am having a windows device with me for work. In case I need dex then it just works. Without dex for pc I have to carry a portable display too (l already have a few) and a keyboard. This is anything but convenient.
Does the hotel/motel room have a TV with HDMI ports? If so, directly connect the phone to the TV.
I am A strong dex for pc user. I use this software on the daily at home and work. The Dex on PC seems cleaner than link to windows. When using link to windows you loose the functionality of using your phone independently that's my biggest gripe. Dex to PC will surely be missed.
DeX was the only reason I bought Samsung phones..😢
Me to!
Don't worry you can still use it with a external monitor or TV
u still have smartview, win link, and sam flow
I've only used the standalone DEX interface, so I'm glad that's staying.
I go on a lot of business trips and i find it very convenient
@@Cee_Nelly Ok, spend >$1200 just for a smartphone without this feature too. Pretty smart.
@lars916 overall, I'm thinking Apple & Samsung ecosystems. Without Dex, Apple and Samsung phones and tablets are starting to resemble each other. I'm waiting to see what happens in another 2 years.
@@Cee_Nelly I think that's the point. Samsung's trying to be like Apple, they got called out for it
One of our biz partner used to be a loyal Samsung user since 2014 he breaks the chain aka ditched Samsung right after they copied apple for not including the charging bricks..
Same here, broke my screen and ended up using Dex to access my phone.
It just sucks for a newer phones that come out
I never used Samsung DEX and I think about making it my next phone purchase now I have to wait until I can make up my mind about it
This might be the last straw for me.
I've just been using a dock, monitor keyboard setup for Dex. Not really bothered as long as they don't remove it completely
I've used it a couple of times. It's great for keeping my work stuff on my phone from ending up on my personal laptop
I love dex, I use it with my Xreal AR glasses to work remotely anywhere pretty much with no laptop to lug around.
Dex is the only reason I'm still with Samsung. They need to keep supporting it and make it better
I never used Dex so it doesn't bother me - but I was not familiar with Samsung Flow so I will start using that - thanks!
They got rid of Mac support 3 years ago. I use the Windows client when I travel and want a “personal PC” and I can leverage my work PC.
Dex is one of the main reasons to get any Samsung product, honestly. It has become a big part of their identity.
Well to start with I dont feel linking and therefore giving windows more access to your phone is something I want to do. Sad if Samsing is playing along with that. To me DeX was awesome the way it is. Options seem either limited or too intrusive.
Thanks for the demo and info, have a great day
There's a built-in app on Windows PC's called Wireless Display which enables you to cast Dex to PC, from my experience you'd need to connect a separate mouse to the phone but if your PC has touch screen, that works too.
1:17 the Samsung S3 chilling there
It's actually the Galaxy S4 Zoom!
Hello Daniel!
First of all, thank you for your video and contents as always.
Second:
That possibilites which you showed to us is working, yes, but there is a big "trouble" with these.
@@arvandvarahram Thank you !
I have used link to windows a long time ago, didn’t even heard of Samsung Flow or Dex yet.😂
I do feel that DeX itself can still use a bit more polish. If they could port some Linux apps, i.e. desktop Firefox for example.
via the optional features in windows you can download wireless display and then cast you're screen and it opens dex up
I use it all the time @ work, and it’s the main reason I’ve stuck with the Note/Galaxy series. Looks like I’ll be watching phone comparisons' again next year.😢
Hi Daniel, also in the future you'll be able to run DeX on Windows.
Hey mate! I have used that before and found it works fine, just the no keyboard thing was a bit janky, but for viewing content, it worked great!
Does this require going through the Windows Store to find the app?
@@techwithbenefits Yes😀 The good news for tor those with multi-control (like you with GB Ultra) is that the keyboard works as well.
@@TheLewistownTrainspotter8102 no, it is an optional feature taht needs to be activated. Please google for "wireless display" and "Windows 11".
Newer to using Dex, didn't even know I could do that. Actually makes me sad, it sounds super useful.
DEX on tablet is a must. 2 DEXs nowadays, the new one stinks but can rotate the screen which is useful in some situations.
NO! WHY? I just discovered this and was so happy😢
I've had note/ S series phone's over the last ten years and this is the first time hearing that the phone could link like that. 😩😩
I am a dex user.. i am gona miss that functionality so badly.. its one of the gems of the samsung flagships.. awsome feature being discontinued.. super disappointing..
Are you using Lark M2? Can I ask what you think of them. Obe benn using mine for 2 months and think they are great. Love your videos by the.way 😎🇸🇪
Use Samsung Flow via cable!
Literally watching this on DeX, connecting my S24 to a monitor
It's not bad to use Link to Windows. It's good to keep Samsung Dex when connecting it to the monitor. What's more, I think the new interface should be One UI for tablets and rival iPad OS with a friendly touch interface and by connecting it to a monitor like a Windows OS or MacOS. 👍🏻👏🏻
I liked using it with tv screen or when travelling, i didnt have much of a need on PC as i already have windows anyway
Have been using Samsung DeX on Windows for a few years for work. Just loved the UI, going between DeX on one screen and Windows on the others. I have an S22+ and have been looking at upgrading, NOT NOW!!! Not after this. Bye Samsung!
whatever they might call it, I am using DeX as an alternative "mobile laptop" during times when all I need to do are just light office tasks!
I didn't even know this feature existed until now, and now it's going away
I am terribly disappointed.... Samsung DeX is the second most important functionality I buy Samsungs for (besides a good camera and a stylus) :(
What part of dex do you use?
Samsung should support it more if anything. They're marketing sucks, if they would make ads showing this off it would catch more attention
Dex for windows only worked for Samsung laptops. I wanted to install Samsung dex and required the windows machine to have the app setup, so the benefits where sub minimal
DeX for Windows worked on any Windows PC. Just download it from Samsung's website
Everyday DEX user - am very disappointed with this change.
Did you use DeX for Windows?
hi. yes i use samsung dex. i use it only on a separate monitor. it is very convenient. if they close it will be a great pity. dex is very easy and convenient to use.
