@@carboncollege I do have one question! Let's say, prior to completing the first 3-4 steps you implement a renewable technology into the business, because your company doesn't have the patience to wait the 12-18 months to complete the first 3 steps and need to market some sustainable technologies. Do you still recommend publishing the technology without any results on our initial footprint? Hope this makes sense.
What a great question! You have to be careful about publishing footprints too early on. People tend to pick up on the word "footprint" and just ignore any caveats and/or limitations statements that you put alongside them even if you use bold type and a red font. As such, a strong message that is safe to make would be something like : We're putting steps in place to complete a fully comprehensive carbon reduction plan to [halve] our emissions by [2030] which should act as a compass for us in our longer-term carbon reduction goals and in the meantime, some projects are already being implemented such as our [insert project name here]. This project is being monitored closely and we expect it to reduce our footprint by [insert expected saving here] tonnes of CO2 when it is fully onstream. I hope this help, let us know if you have any other question :) Darryl.
It was very useful thank you for sharing
Absolutely good! Thanks.
