You are the only channel I've seen that has been able to show so much content, and I even mention it to other sites to come check out your stuff. The actor who played the Dark Elf king, Christopher Eccleston, was really weighed down by makeup etc. in this movie. He's a wonderful actor one of my favorites he was very under utilized in this.

The end credit reveal that the Collector is secretly trying to gather all the infinity stone, implying that he might be a futur vilain or something, you will see.
I know I'm late to these videos/comments but in the comics, The Collector (and the Grandmaster) are actually very old and powerful. He would have wanted the Infinity stones for the power but the movies made them weak and that's slightly disappointing.
The next movie is the one that is going to make you love Steve. Winter Soldier has good acting, good cinematography, amazing storytelling and it is the best MCU movie tied with IW.
Post credit scene was revealing that Eather (the red liquidy thing) is actually one of the Infinity Stones as is the Tesseract (the blue cube). The collector said one down, five to go, so we now know there is six of it total and we know two. The collector will also back in one of the future movies so stay tuned :)
Something that hit me the second time I watched this, at the end when Thor is talking with Odin (Loki)...... Thor offers the hammer back and "Odin" says no, you keep it, it's yours. I feel he had to say that because if he took the hammer, he wouldn't have been able to lift it and Thor would have known right away it's Loki. Odin is already able to wield Mjolnir.
Your reaction to the asgardians ages cracks me up because so many people don't realise that Thor is 1500 years old also the women Thor kisses in the end credit scene was Chris Hemsworths actual wife as Natalie Portman wasn't avaliable to film that scene
RDJ has said that he intended Stark to be somewhat autobiographical for him, and he really wanted to ensure Tony's character change was grounded, motivated, and believable. He complained that too many other heroes went from jerks to moral paragons too quickly and easily, and he wanted to avoid that. So I imagine he'd be pretty happy with Monica's description of Stark's character and why she likes him; seems to have been part of his goal.
Watch allot of reaction channels, not sure why, fun to relive. Anyways just wanted to say I really find your mix of enjoyment along with the intelligent analysis as you watch is good fun. Your comments are smart and if you're not keen on something you say it. Seems really sincere.
Tony is also really smart, another relatable characteristic. Rico catching that green flash, good eye! I don't think I noticed that before. "Huh?" Good description of the movie, in general.
the mid credit scene with Lady Sif and Volstagg giving the Aether to the "Collector" is setting up the Infinity stones. This movie revealed that the Tesseract (from Captain America 1 and Avengers 1) and the Aether are 2 of the 6 Infinity stones), which will be the main McGuffin of the entire MCU going forward 🙂
The main problem with this film is that Malekith is such a one dimensional villain compared to the likes of Loki, Thanos, or Killmonger, who have depth to them.
The actor who played Thor's grandfather was in the 2nd underworld and the actor that played the leader of the dark elves was in gone in 60 seconds and the 1st gi Joe movie playing desthro
Technically 3, even though we didn’t know yet. Loki’s Scepter held the Mind Stone, we see the Tesseract in First Avenger and The Avengers, and the Reality Stone in Dark World. Soul Stone appears in Infinity War on Vormir. Power Stone in GOTG. And Time Stone in DS
Overall I don't find TDW to be a good movie, but it does have some absolutely amazing character moments and development, an aesthetic I really love, and it's own vibe for sure that doesn't feel too MCU-formulaic, which I appreciate. I kinda just wish they had gone full science fantasy and kept the entire plot away from Earth.
Loving your MCU reactions so much i can't wait for the next one! You guys are the best thank you for blessing us with these videos, it's so fun to watch these again with you
The end credit scene when Thor kisses Jane was shot with Chris Hemsworth who took the place of Natalie Portman who wasn't available at the time the shoot that scene
The actor that plays selvig has 2 sons who are actors , oldest played Tarzan and the youngest played the clown pennywise in the "it" movies and was also in Deadpool 2
Alright, looking forward to this. A lot of people bag on this film, but I don’t think it’s nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It’s not ‘The Hulk,’ for instance..
To me, this is probably the MCU film that is the most a "mixed bag". It has some scenes I find pretty good to amazing, the ones between members of Thor's family, but it also have some of the scenes I find the most boring and unnecessary, with all the stuff with the Convergence and the people on the Earth-side of the plot. Overall not a movie I find good, but it has scenes within it so good I'll sit through the whole thing if I have to.
Dark elves brought the 9 realms close to each other and they were overlapping (or something like that). And that made them pass between the realms while they fought. There were invisible doorways. That's where you guys got confused!
Far from my favorite, lots of problems, but still a very enjoyable movie imo. I'll be home in about an hour, than I'll take a look to see what you guys think. Looking forward to your reaction, this movie has some epic moments. :)
Fun Fact: The scene where Jane and Thor are kissing on the balcony isn't Jane (Natalie). Natalie Portman had to be somewhere else so they were going to use a stand in for the kiss. Jane couldn't have just hidden for a day to miss the convergence without dying. They needed Malekith to remove the Aether from her to save her life, and he would have no interest in doing it if the convergence had already passed.
I found that really interesting! Does that mean that Asgard monopolizes military power to such an extend that the other Realms are vulnerable to what seemed to be just marauders without Asgard's protection? Way to keep the other Realms in line and unable to rebel!
@@ancatdal Yes, that’s basically true. Per Thor 1, Loki was a baby ~900 A.D., well into the Viking Age, making it impossible for Thor and Loki to be the inspiration for the Norse myths, which Fandral states in the same movie that Thor is. No one at Marvel made a timeline for the characters and events in the Thor franchise, it's hilarious and sad, you'd think a company that big could manage that at least.
@@vittoseesit8953 Well, he doesn't appear younger in the first movie when we see them as children. But Odin also calls Thor his firstborn.
