I remember watching this movie opening weekend. One of the best theater experiences ever, right behind The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, Infinity War and Endgame
Winter Soldier to this day is my favourite stand alone MCU film To be fair I consider a lot of the other stand alone films more of a crossover than a stand alone. Like Ragnarok with Hulk, Civil War with everybody.
The moment he got into the elevator, he read the area... uniforms, soldiers/ agents in civilian clothes but wearing body armor and field boots, earpieces, and so on. He assessed that it was a ambush.
This remains my favorite MCU movie, and it'll be hard for any future ones to top it. They start out by giving us Cap America vs Captain Canada *the main guy Cap fought with on the ship was George St. Pierre, longtime UFC champion from Canada* , then they take a real life thing, Operation Paperclip, and use that as the backstory for how Hydra wound up surviving in the shadows all along, and it was a pivotal moment for Cap's character in the films, going from a soldier taking orders to someone questioning his government and the people in authority. So god damn good.
"Where's arrow guy?" Fun fact: Hawkeye originally was supposed to be in the film. Apparently they had a scene where Hawkeye goes after Cap and Widow and even had a fight scene with Cap. Yes! Finally! I’ve been waiting for you to get to this movie. This and Civil War are two of my favorites. Bucky is not a villain; he is a victim, and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. To be kidnapped twice by the same organization, experimented on, losing everything of who he is, forced to kill with no control, it makes me sympathize with him so badly. Imagine all the trauma he has to live with. (Civil War and the tv show Falcon & Winter Soldier expand on the mental trauma.) Also, think of this regarding Bucky. Natasha said the Winter Soldier was credited with over 2 dozen Assassinations in fifty years, but Bucky has been gone for seventy years, same amount of time as Steve. This means that HYDRA spent twenty years training, torturing and breaking down Bucky and he tried to fight it for that long. He also didn’t age like Steve because after he completed a mission, his mind was wiped and he was put in cryofreeeze until he was needed again and then he was programmed again; a never-ending cycle of torture. I can’t wait to see you react to Civil War.
It just occurred to me that Rogers would have a nice chunk of change. He would get back pay since he was listed as MIA and not KIA, for propaganda purposes if nothing else. I wouldn't want to do the math but: Time in service, COL raises, possible combat pay, twice a month for 66 years, tax free (serving outside the US), plus possible interest? That's a quite a bit of cash.
No joke. Just in compound interest, if he had $100k in his account the year he went in the ice, that’d be worth $1.5mil today. Then you add on all the additional pay and the interest it would accumulate. If you take the WW2 wage for Captains set at $220/month (assuming his MIA pay remains unadjusted from the time he disappeared) and apply an average interest of 5% with a variance of 0.5, added on to that is another $6.2mil

32:15 It's more tunnel vision in that cap's shield is a giant target that your mind is drawn to the big "hit me" thing so you'll keep shooting at it especially with all that adrenaline. It's the same thing that's explained for batman's logo on his chest and why it's intentionally big and flashy, so people will shoot at it and not other parts of his body.
Actually loved your reaction to this. The brotherhood thing is really powerful and few movies represent it this well. It shows why this is the MCU's best movie that it makes you really feel it. And the Winter Soldier is seriously the most badass character around. You should watch the third Captain America movie, Civil War, which follows on from all of this. It's a good one too.
99% of filmmakers past and present would have started off with Rogers moping because he couldn't deal with the modern world. It makes such a difference to see him not only coping, but _thriving,_ without throwing away the connections he has to the distant past. 4:24 Also, this. We are constantly reminded that Cap has augmented abilities, which preps us for increasingly outrageous stunts later. If you've ever watched the '70s live-action movies, you've seen how NOT to do it: showing Cap being slightly-above-average for an hour then suddenly doing the cheapest "feats of strength" imaginable, accompanied by sound effects straight out of _The Six Million Dollar Man_ or _Looney Tunes._
One particular fight scene (apartment) in Black Widow is the rawest, imo. WS has the best choreographed fight scenes overall. Black Widow is 2nd in that category for the MCU.
Peggy tells him that he saved the world and then tells him that he was able to come back, that it was a long time. Then mentions that Nick Fury "has informants." All this, after seeing EndGame, made me understand that Capital was always there, secretly helping.
This movie is so unique and well directed. A thriller/action film, dark, gritty, some what realistic with how some organisations could be bad. Love this movie, great performances through out.
@@k3n12ock the two with avengers I’ve noticed often when a solo marvel movie has an avenger or the avengers in it it’s good civil war was literally so much more of a avengers movie then a captain America movie if I’m honest with you-
The Russo brothers directed the best entries in the MCU, hands down. This movie, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
09:08 - The narrator at the Captain America exhibit is actor Gary Sinise, aka "Lieutenant Dan" from the "Forrest Gump" movie. Perfect choice because Sinise is well known for his philanthropic work with American veterans.
It's okay to react the way you did at the end., a lot of us had the same response. This movie had a lot going for it, and it took a long time to process for some of us what we just experienced. It was okay to be at a loss for words with your emotions running just under the surface
I know I'm catching this reaction pretty late, but wow! Fantastic scene when Cap flings his shield hard and Winter Soldier catches and returns it just as hard! The looks on both your faces!! Fantastic!
"Is he a pigeon?" Seriously? When someone on screen plops a folder down, says "call it a resume" and it says "FALCON" on it I think it may be important.
4:31 And crazy awesome how it pretty showcases that Steve is still holding back his strength. As we see in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, everyone with super strength goes overboard and practically wrecks or breaks other people and property like it's no big deal. But Steve has compassion despite being a super soldier and doesn't turn every person he fights into mashed potato with his super punches. He actually injures to incapacitate and tries to lessen the amount of kills. Well... there is the occasional "That guy is probably dead" at 5:26 with the whole... shield de-"cap"-itation scene. But of course, if they showed someone's head sliced off, then it'd be R-rated then. XD

I never thought this would be my favorite movie but I love it more and more every time
99% of filmmakers past and present would have started off with Rogers moping because he couldn't deal with the modern world.
Been waiting for this one! Super hyped to see your reaction, this is my personal favorite out of all the MCU movies
This has the rawest fight scenes of any MCU film, hands down
One particular fight scene (apartment) in Black Widow is the rawest, imo. WS has the best choreographed fight scenes overall. Black Widow is 2nd in that category for the MCU.
The face you guys made when bucky caught the shield🤣🤣🤣🤣
Still my #1 MCU movie but I'm a sucker for a good spy thriller. Love your enthusiasm during the reaction, keep them coming.
After all these movies the winter soldier is stil the best MCU movie in my eyes
Peggy tells him that he saved the world and then tells him that he was able to come back, that it was a long time.
Then mentions that Nick Fury "has informants."
All this, after seeing EndGame, made me understand that Capital was always there, secretly helping.
I wasn't that big of a fan of the MCU until I saw this movie and now, I'm a stan. one of the best.
I love how important Steve and Bucky relationship is to you! It is the heart of the cap trilogy!!
33:53 " I laughed so hard at "That must be his son" 😂
@31:05 “I can’t see his face.” Me: “Just wait a few minutes, you will.”
its funny she says "take the mask off" and Cap says "please dont make me do this" right after is just perfect lol
Y’all’s reactions are just so awesome and wholesome. I eagerly await your next ones! Keep on being you! You rock!
22:03 That landing from the plane never gets old for me. I repeat that part every time I watch this movie!
Fun Fact: Right before Chris Evans played Captain America in the Avengers. He played the Human Torch of the Fantastic Four.
This movie is so unique and well directed. A thriller/action film, dark, gritty, some what realistic with how some organisations could be bad. Love this movie, great performances through out.
My top 5 MCU movies. Cap definitely has the best trilogy.
Irl about you but I don’t like The first avenger-but that’s just me -
@@Laurica-lb6nv It's definitely the weakest of the 3 but then again we're talkin' about The Winter Soldier and Civil War, lol
@@k3n12ock the two with avengers I’ve noticed often when a solo marvel movie has an avenger or the avengers in it it’s good civil war was literally so much more of a avengers movie then a captain America movie if I’m honest with you-
Eh the first one I didn’t enjoy but the Winter Soldier and Civil War were fantastic
"whats the chances of two people being frozen for so long" lmao!! great reaction
The Russo brothers directed the best entries in the MCU, hands down. This movie, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
"One man's terrorist, is another man's freedom fighter!" Or "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."
Undeniably one of the best movies in MCU!!! Makes me love Cap more.
This movie is my favorite marvel film. I think its the best one they put out.
09:08 - The narrator at the Captain America exhibit is actor Gary Sinise, aka "Lieutenant Dan" from the "Forrest Gump" movie. Perfect choice because Sinise is well known for his philanthropic work with American veterans.
Bro funniest reaction video I've seen in a while...ps. you're going to love the rest of the MCU
It's okay to react the way you did at the end., a lot of us had the same response. This movie had a lot going for it, and it took a long time to process for some of us what we just experienced. It was okay to be at a loss for words with your emotions running just under the surface
OH YEAH .
Captain Reaction back again!
Also, the balance between her being super done with everything and him being super excited about everything is amazing lmao I love it
One of the best Marvel movies for sure
Okay, this is probably my favorite reaction ever! I love your comments and this movie!
“You do not wake up that quick” Actually if you don’t wake up from being knocked out within a few moments it probably means you have brain damage
This one had me gain a LOT of respect for Cap.
I know I'm catching this reaction pretty late, but wow! Fantastic scene when Cap flings his shield hard and Winter Soldier catches and returns it just as hard! The looks on both your faces!! Fantastic!
Interesting Easter egg: the inscription on Fury's gravestone is the Bible quote that Sam Jackson used in Pulp Fiction
“This movie they upped it” yes they fucking did. Russo bros took the mcu to a whole new level. They are absolute masters at their mcu movies.
Lol Rico was giddy AF this whole reaction 🤣🤣🤣 i love this movie as well, the action is crazy
Forreal, I was the same way, haha
you two have a such a harmonic, special vibe! Love it :)
XD
You guys are da best 🔥🔥🔥
Always a treat to get a reaction from you guys!
the thing nick used to escape the car, the mini torch or whatever...it comes from the tv show Agent of Shields
I like you guys. You're charming and sincere, and it's fun to live vicariously through you as you experience such an awesome movie for the first time.
