@@Jdubayou funny you should state that cuz I was debating whether to include “solo”. The Winter Soldier is a movie I could watch over and over again. I can’t say the same for the other and latest MCU movies.

I love Steve's friendships with Sam, Bucky and Natasha. He just is a magnet for good, amazing, loyal people. And even though he's a superhuman, his biggest strength is the people he manages to have around him and following him😊
His real superpower is his leadership ability. The strength, agility, reflexes, and all the other physical traits are nice and handy and all, but in every Avengers/Cap movie it always comes down to Cap leading the way, and everybody else lining up right behind him, including people who fought him along the way.
A favorite scene from the comics is during the Secret Wars storyline is that the combined forces of the heroes were trying to pick a leader between Reed Richard, Professor X and Cap. Wolverine says he’s the least of us ,I won’t follow him. (he had a chip on his shoulder at the time against non mutants) Thor says I WILL. Professor X and Mr Fantastic agreed.
One of my favorite little moments is from the start. When Nat tries to make light of being admonished by Steve ("okay, that one's on me") and Steve responds in a way that obviously means he's upset with her, her expression is incredible. Here's a woman who is almost professionally aloof, made a career out of being a spy/assassin, and she's upset because she disappointed Steve. And it pays off later when she asks him if his life was on the line, would he trust her and he says "I would now."
@inarar5334 they have a solid relationship the soldier and the spy, the righteous and looking for repentance. I also kinda liked the later relationship with u know who... even though some ppl didn't feel it.

As a fan of the first Captain America movie, this Winter Soldier had me in physical shock with all the craziness that went down in the theatre. Steve is an essentially an ENHANCED human being, so going throught the water a high speed does affect him, but his healing system repairs any damage quickly.
Fun fact : Steve's "List" is different in different countries. Fun fact #2 : The Zola AI says that Nat's birthday in 1984, but in the comics she's been around since the 60s, and was a child during WWII - she doesn't look it because she underwent a Russian version of the Super Soldier process. She's not as strong but that's partly because she's only about half his size.
I really wish they'd had Zola drop this backstory here. Revealing that Nat was another super soldier all along. Then Steve wold mock her for teasing him about being a fossil.
The chemistry between Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson and their genuine affection for each other comes through in this movie in each scene they have together. I'll die on the hill that they have better chemistry than 90% of the actual couples in the MCU and should have gotten together. The vibes are there 100%.
When Steve was fighting Georges he didn't say "Au revoir" (bye) he said "On va voir" (we will see) in reply to Batroc's statement "I thought you were more than just a shield".
I think, though it’s never 100% verified, that Widows got a diluted version of the serum. The Russians successfully reproduced the formula (mild spoiler here) and likely that’s how Widow is able to do stuff Clint Barton, Hawkeye, never could. She’s a little stronger and considerably more durable than ordinary humans. We find out later she was “chosen for her genetic potential” as an infant. That’s a very specific statement.
Yes, in the comics Widow did receive a Russian version of the serum. But in the MCU it's been confirmed that she didn't receive any serum or other biological enhancement, just training. It's plot armor that makes some of her feats hard to believe.
The Russo Brothers did a great job with Steve Rogers as a character. In the cartoons, Captain American is a bit one dimensional. The betrayal in this movie left him unsure who he could trust - which made him a much more interesting character in the franchise.
4:38 I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but just in case, I thought I'd share. Black Widow isn't just an ordinary human; she’s actually enhanced (mutated) in a way similar to Captain America. In her backstory, she's part of a program that gave her super-soldier-like abilities, which explains her incredible agility, strength, and endurance. It’s a cool detail that adds depth to her character and helps explain how she holds her own alongside the Avengers!
One of my favorite parts about this movie is how everyone in shield(that wasnt hydra) inmediately believed steve the moment he said shield has been infiltrated by hydra. Never mind the fact that alexander pierce attempted to taint his reputation, labeled him a traitor, turned captain america into one of americas most wanted. Everything he did to taint him was pointless, which is emphasized by the fact that project insight gloriously blew up in front him and he could do nothing about it.
16:44, the audience in the theatre was already hyped up while watching this movie. But when Cap did the somersault off of the back of the quinjet, we lost our freaking minds!!
Some fun trivia for ya: - The theme that plays when Bucky/Winter Soldier is on screen is a distorted version of Bucky's scream from the first Captain America from when he falls off the train. - This movie - as well as some of the future ones - is directed by the Russo Brothers, who directed Community. Hence the Abed cameo. - The surgeon who stands over Fury as he is pronounced dead is Joe Russo, one of the directors. He is later also seen when they are reunited with Fury and find out he didn't die. Favorite MCU movie no question about it. Loved the reaction to the Bucky reveal!

This is a top 2 comic film all time. How captain operates with his speed/fighting/strength is the first time they actually showed how he is in the comics, unlike his previous appearances in the movies. Black widow actually took the super soldier formula in the comics. She fought with capt in WW2, she's old like steve is. In the movies they have her being born in the 80's, and I don't know if they showed her getting the serum in her black widow film, as I never saw it.
The MCU version of Steve most closely approximates ultimate Captain America in abilities. Along with moderate superhuman strength and endurance, he is much more durable than a regular human, and has an accelerated healing factor. So it takes a lot more to hurt him, and he could heal from a bullet wound, assuming high enough caliber to penetrate his skin, in a few hours etc. So protection is not just about the shield.
My favourize movie, watched it a Million times. It's great on a lot of was, just want to mention rhe incredibly creative way room was used in the fight scenes!
Bucky isn't evil or apart of Hydra willingly, he was taken by Hydra and then basically tortured and abused, even brainwashed into "The Winter Soldier." this perfect soldier to do their bidding, a mindless person that they can control and he cant fight them back because they'll just shock it out of him, making him forget all over again and send him out after keeping him on ice for long periods of time hence why he's called "The Winter Soldier." James Buchanan Barnes is a good man deep down, always has been and he was taken advantage of by an evil organization. He's a victim in all this, plain and simple as even Stan Lee told Sebastian Stan that Bucky is a good guy. Also Steve isn't about to kill or leave Bucky, he's Steve's best friend, his brother so that's why he tries to get Bucky to remember who he is and doesn't want to fight him and Bucky doesn't either as he doesn't want to get in trouble with Hydra again and get his memory wiped again so that's why he resists until Steve pushes Bucky to start punching him until Steve says "I'm with you till the end of the line." which makes Bucky stop and you see the shocked look on his face like that phrase clicked in him because he's the one that said it to Steve first which is why he saves Steve, gets him out of the water and waits to see if he's breathing before walking away and then shows up at the museum, looking up himself and find out about who he is and his past and how that ties in with Steve.
So in comics Black Widow has The Infinity Formula a discount super soldier serum. It slows aging enhance strength and reflexes. She's 90 last I checked and still moves like that.
For me, this is the 2nd best super hero movie so far (right after Dark Knight)! This was the good old days of MCU, when MCU commenced the respect from Hollywood. Even movie legend Robert Redford agreed to preform in this film. This showed the weight MCU once held in Hollywood.

29:44 - Haha, you recognized Abed so you are clearly fans of Community. The story goes that people at Marvel saw the paintball episode of Community and liked how the Russo brothers did action scenes which helped in their decision to hire the Russo's to direct some Marvel movies. Captain America: Winter Soldier is the first (but not the last) MCU movie that the Russo's directed - and Abed is not the last Community alumnus to appear in one of their MCU movies.
You said that Steve busting through doors as he chased the Winter Soldier reminded you of the Hulk. Well, you're not wrong. Hulk is the product of a failed attempt to recreate the super soldier serum. It didn't go as planned...obviously Im glad you guys got the genuine Bucky surprise. That was fun 😃 While Marvel movies are not exactly the same as the comic book stories, they do follow a lot of big plot points. Comic book fans know that Bucky is The Winter Soldier. But you guys got the WTF?!! moment and it was GREAT.
Well not quite the 50s... Falcon was introduced in 1968 and was Captain America's partner for the next 15-20 years. And of course back in the 1940s, Bucky was Captain America's teenage sidekick, like Robin to Batman.

For me, this is the 2nd best super hero movie so far (right after Dark Knight)! This was the good old days of MCU, when MCU commenced the respect from Hollywood. Even movie legend Robert Redford agreed to preform in this film. This showed the weight MCU once held in Hollywood.
Aaah yes. the Maximoff Twins. The changing of power scaling begins.
This movie is kinda scary because of how realistic it can be
My favorite MCU movie! Let’s go!
Grew up watching it and love it and love the line cause I'm with you to the end of the line

32:28 this man's contingency plan was crazy.. he put his damaged eye under another alias, so that no one will even know, that its Nick Fury's 😧😧😁🙀
The main Hydra dude is in what I think is a super-fun movie called Boss Level.
Ever play a video game where you have to replay the Boss Level over and over ‘cuz you keep getting your arse kicked? Ya, that. It’s super fun.
And The Falcon also has his own Comic Book and now has a Disney series.
Sam Wilson is better known in Marvel comics as The Falcon. Captain America's sidekick in the 70s-80's. 😮
31:06 Hahahhaha nice one.. I am enjoying your reactions, and soon, you'll be getting a new subscriber 😅😁
You said that Steve busting through doors as he chased the Winter Soldier reminded you of the Hulk. Well, you're not wrong. Hulk is the product of a failed attempt to recreate the super soldier serum. It didn't go as planned...obviously
Im glad you guys got the genuine Bucky surprise. That was fun 😃 While Marvel movies are not exactly the same as the comic book stories, they do follow a lot of big plot points. Comic book fans know that Bucky is The Winter Soldier. But you guys got the WTF?!! moment and it was GREAT.
It's The Falcon. He's been Stevie Rogers partner since the 50s he has been by his side like Robin to Batman.
Well not quite the 50s... Falcon was introduced in 1968 and was Captain America's partner for the next 15-20 years. And of course back in the 1940s, Bucky was Captain America's teenage sidekick, like Robin to Batman.
@@neospock5034 10 years is a Jump but not far off. Thanks. Haven't read comics in years but it comes back like yesterday. I woke up to comics and slept on them.
All we had in the early eighty's.
That is Falcon
Love seeing the reaction to Bucky being the Winter Soldier by people who are unfamiliar with the comics. It's like Game of Thrones' book readers v. non book readers.
Best marvel movie ever 💯💯💯💯
If i was a Robert redford fan, id watch his final movie(final ish)
Alexander Pierce: 'When i first met Nick'
