You're missing the point of the movie entirely.
As long as we're talking about a superhero action movie, all is fine of course, but if we want to have a real talk about it: first of all, all of them should have been detained by authorities immediately after the facts, second, there should have been an investigation after to determine all the events and if everyone acted in the best way possible, third, they shouldn't even fight in the middle of the crowd in the first place, imagine if police started shooting in the middle of the crowd to hit a criminal who's running away. Fourth, who gave them permission to operate there, in another country, without any permission or supervision, or rules of engagement? Are they even allowed to carry weapons? They killed people NOT in self defence (they killed criminals, yes, but still people) with NO authority, they are literally murderers and criminals themselves. If it happened in the real world it would have been absolutely crazy and they should all go to jail for life. But it's cool to be superheores, so it's ok.

Btw, the Toby McGuire Spiderman was a change from the comic books. Peter Parker invents his webs. He doesn't shoot them from his own wrists as part of his powers. Both Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland spidermen follow the comics more closely in this regard.
Both Steve Rogers and Nat Romanoff found out that Tony's father was killed by Hydra In Capt America: The Winter Soldier when they went to NJ and found the AI version of the austrian scientist, Arnim Zola. Neither of them told Tony about it. They probably decided not to because the fight against hydra started right after Winter Soldier. If Tony learns Hydra killed his parents, he will act recklessly to destroy them. And that could end with him or one of the other Avengers getting killed or injured. EDIT: Or maybe additional civilian casualties.

It's a standard tactic with terrorists, the identity of the civilian casualties is irrelevant, only the numbers are important, and the more civilians hurt the better, especially if you can blame it on your enemies. Most nationalistic terrorist groups work it at both ends, they'll make certain to ensure the deaths of as many of their own civilians as possible, and of course the media will be quick to aid this strategy, willingly, in some cases. It gets them a bigger story and higher ratings.

In her movie, there is a quick shot of the blue serum; in the opening scene with little Natasha and Yelena, with all the quick edits and music, you can see the serum; she also took a slap from Hulk in Avenger's 2012; and in her film, she fell from a building and landed on her feet like nothing.

Even though was a bunch of Avengers in this movie, It's a captain America movie because Bucky is involved in it and the lengths that Steve goes through to help his best friend which also leads into the conflict with Tony.
I agree that Tony is allowed to be upset with finding out about his parents but actively trying to kill Bucky when he wasn't even in control of himself, meaning it wasn't really his fault. The fault is with Hydra, who programmed Bucky to be the winter soldier and ultimately their pawn so that's who Tony should really be after.
Tristan, you said that Bucky shouldn't have said that he remembered everyone he killed whilst he was the winter soldier but he said that with such a sad voice and with guilt, it's not like he was saying that to brag or anything plus Tony asked in the first place.
I hate that Tony brought Peter into a battlefield filled with adults, he's literally a teenager, a minor plus he didn't tell him the complete truth on why he was there in the first place especially because peter was in danger because of the Sokovia Accords if they found out Spidermans identity.
The reason Bucky is going into Cryofreeze is so the Wakandans can figure out how to get the trigger words from Hydra out of his head which is totally understandable when he said he's afraid of his own mind and doesn't want to cause anymore pain or hurt because everything that he did whilst he was the winter soldier clear affects him very much.
Despite what Zemo did to get his plan to work which included framing Bucky and triggering him into the winter soldier, I am very sympathetic towards Zemo because Tony created Ultron which created the destruction of Sokovia and in turn killing Zemos family. He had the smartest plan and he succeeded.

Since everyone keeps posting that Spider-Man makes his web fluid, I'll just say that it's kind of an important piece of Spider-Man IMO, because it shows just how intelligent he is. Here's a fifteen year old kid who developed something on his own that impresses even Tony Stark, and doesn't exist in the world otherwise. In this movie, it's shown that he had web-shooters before Tony met Peter, so it's not a 'suit' thing. All the other powers, he has, which is why he can fight Steve one on one. Granted, he's a kid, so he's nowhere near the peak of his powers, but in the comics Spider-Man has punched someone's jaw off.

32:59 Spider-Man actually uses Web Shooter in the comics as well, created by himself. They hold web fluid cartridges that can turn out and need changing etc. The idea of Organic web shooters that fire from Spider-Man's body is solely unique to the Sam Rami Spider-Man films a left over from the James Cameron 90s Spider-Man script but was actually a last minute change for Spider-Man (2002) as they originally went for the Web Shooters from the comics but changed it last minute to Organic shooters, can find footage of Peter using the web shooter online.
Yeah Marvel were trying for years to get Spider-Man into the MCU. When Avengers (2012) came out they tired to feature Oscorp Tower from The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) in the background but this never happened. When Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) came out they tried to feature the Age of Ultron Avengers tower in the New York Skyline but from my understanding Sony was already nearly finished with the visual effects so this never happened. These two would've connected Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man films to the MCU so we would've had a origin story in those films and by the time of Civil War (2016) Peter would've been in College around 19 to 21 so he would've been older in this film if Andrew was Spider-Man
But instead a new Spider-Man was introduced that being Tom Holland a 15 year old making him the youngest live action Spider-Man funny enough, Both Toby and Andrews Peter Parkers were bitten at 17 instead of 15 like the comics. But in return the MCU kind of kick starts Spider-Man's journey by having Tony create Peter's first actual Spider-Man suit with all kind of gadgets and tech while also fighting alongside The Avengers. In the comics Peter does meet the Avengers when he's younger around 16 but he never takes part in big crossovers until his college years and it's not until his early 20s that the Comic's Civil War happens where Peter is also given a cool high tech Stark suit. So they pretty much brought Spider-Man into the world of the Avengers from the beginning in this film just a few months after being bitten.

  • @nvp8191

Hear some Spider-Man facts. Spider-Man could never produce his webbing naturally that only occurs in the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy which was the easier choice by the director but by giving him organic webbing it takes away from Peter's creativity with him creating his web fluid then his web shooter. Just like Peter dumpster diving in this movie to fix or repurpose discarded electronics. Despite Peter being younger he was one of the toughest and people in the civil war battle. Peter skin is adorable as Kevlar. Strength wise Spider-Man is at least 10 times Captain America's max strength which gets stronger with every appearance and in this movie particularly Steve strength level was at 12 tons. Not to mention his reflexes and enhanced speed which are all tied to his spider Sense. Peter's spider Sense is an early warning to eminent and fatal attacks.

Remember that in "Winter Soldier", Zola showed Cap archives confirming that Howard and Maria's death was not an accident. While he didn't have exact confirmation that Bucky killed them, he knew that Bucky had been coerced to carry out assassinations for HYDRA for decades and was definitely smart enough to put two and two together.
Tony's rage at the end is more about hurting Cap for the betrayal of keeping this from him. (Remember in "Age of Ultron" Cap reprimanded Tony for keeping things from him (i.e. creating Ultron), while Cap was keeping THIS from him.

36:10 Yeah, that's the thing. Iron man was supposed to have a minor role as antagonist and it was supposed to be Cap's story. But Rdj refused to work on the movie until he got a bigger part comparable to the lead. Then the Marvel executives wanted to make Iron man more sympathetic and held trial screenings to determine which side people were choosing.
So the Russo brothers had to modify their movie until it was 50-50 among the viewers as to who would choose which side. The result of all of this was that Tony Stark's emotions and motivations were a LOT more explored than the title character's, who lines about the Accords and in general were cut because people obviously started to sympathise with Team Cap more if he was given his say. This results in avery skewed and confusing movie in the end where you cant't really follow what's going on unless you're paying attention and Cap is not given the opportunity to adequately explain his side of things.

32:58 The Tobey trilogy where his webs are organic is actually the unusual variation. For decades whilst the comics were coming out Spider-Man's webs have always come from a mechanical device on his wrist, but since the Tobey trilogy was the first real adaptation and it was done so well most people think that is 'the norm'.

About Spider-Man’s webs, in the vast majority of the comics Spider-Man doesn’t develop the webs naturally, he develops what he calls web shooters. His natural powers from the spider bite allow him to stick to walls and gives him great strength and spider senses as well as lightning fast reflexes.

Not sure if you guys know this, but Chadwick Boseman died of cancer a few years ago. He was helped in his career by Denzel. Inspiring and terribly sad story. he was great as Black Panther.

This movie is a great analogy for current Civil War tensions. It can start as a war of ideologies. Both sides may be right in their own context but fail to see the potential for good the other can offer...or the staging for tragedy when either is implemented in the strictest sense. For some reason we can't find balance. Each side feels they need to take a little more but also give no ground. As the tensions rise, eventually it morphs into something personal and unreasonable. We stop seeing each other as people. We only see enemies. Then any real enemies need only poke and prod us to destroy ourselves. Secular vs Religious, Religion vs Religion, Conservative vs Liberal, Safety vs Freedom, Heteronormative vs LGBTQ+Allies, White vs POC, Rich vs Poor, Native vs Immigrant.
If Anyone points to a whole generalized demographic of human beings and dehumanizes them as something to be feared, hated, and/or eliminated then they have...
At Best, completely lost track of what they were fighting for to begin with or,
At Worst, preying on people's emotions for their own profit, power, or just to see it all burn.

The dean is present because most of early community was directed by the russo brothers (as well as early arrested development, look out for the stair car in the airport fight). Watch out for other community cast members in other movies. (endgame mostly)

General/Secretary Ross is wrong in everything he does. He's an idiot and a hypocrite. Does he ever have to answer for what he did in Brazil and on that college campus? For creating the Abomination? At least the Avengers actually succeeded in their missions, but Ross caused all that damage and those casualties and still failed.
Ross is the longest-running villain in the MCU.

12:39 it was a no win situation for Wanda. Either innocents on the ground died or the ones in the building died. The bomb was going not sure which location would’ve been fewer casualties. 15:43 it’s so weird that they have Captain America against the government oversight and Tony for it. It seems like it should be the other way around.

33:00 cprrect, the webs come from his web shooters. The Tobey Maguire version with organic webs may be the one you are familiar with, but that is not how Spiderman's powers work in the comics. The director(Sam Raimi) just went a different route with it. So yes, web shooters are the default for Spiderman. He makes the fluid via chemical reactions and loads them into pressurized chambers

During Captain America Winter soldier when they were in the bunker talking to the guy from the first Captain America in the computer they showed that the Winter soldier had killed Tony Stark's parents. But the scene happened so fast. You don't really realize that you was just sorry. If you go back and watch this scene when all the images are flashing you'll see that that's when Captain America found out

27:21 Lol If I was Bucky I’d just screaming “LA LA LA LA LA LA!!!” at the top of my lungs, hoping it’s enough to drown out whatever he’s saying until help (Cap) arrives.

36:11 Yeah I completely agree… I feel a lot of this could’ve been avoided had Cap been better about full explaining why’s he’s doing what he’s doing

Well, you can’t blame Steve for not telling Toni about his parents over protecting Bucky, who is literally a childhood friend and the person he has from his time period. I absolutely respect him for protecting his friend in this situation.I mean, clearly someone else knew the truth and didn’t tell Toni either.
