- Jordan shows off the features of these gorgeous HO scale Alco and MLW locomotives and we seem them in operation on Neil Schofield's phenomenal Lyndonville and Newport Subdivisions model railroad.

Watching the CP rail Alco FA-2 & FB-2 combination is simply magnificent. Great Layout, and I would definitely like to see more of the Alco FA/FB diesel units.
8:12 hey Jordan the last run of a CP Rail FA was on October 22 1975 When FA2 4089 led SW1200RS 8151 out of Toronto on a Burlington Turn Job. On November 8th 1975 4089 was shoved, dead and drained with a white canvas tarp over her exhaust stack onto the FA Deadline At St. Luc Shops, A day later, 4084 was added to the line and that was the end of the Alco FA era on CP Rail. I got this info from "Canadian Pacific STAND FAST, CRAIGELLACHIE!" by Greg Mcdonnell in which he described the FA Deadline as "Hauntingly similar to the steam scrap lines of years past. As the season's first snow piled high on their noses and rooftops, the moribund MLW's settled in for a winter's nap from which they would never awaken."

Nice looking models. I always remember the Alco diesel engines as sounding
like they were in a self destruct mode. Hearing the models run it appears they
captured that quality too. :)

Hi Rapido Trains, First off Neil Schofield's layout looks awesome, Thank you Neil for letting Rapido Trains film these new locomotive on your layout. Next, the new Rapido FA-2's and FB-2's look fantastic, two thumbs up. This has been another light hearted yet informative video, keep up the great work guys. Now someone please wake Bill up, I want to know why we haven't seen any NYO&W locomotives and rolling stock yet, especially from the guy who had the "Old Woman" in the back room (ha ha ha) Cheers, Rich S.

You can still find them on eBay and elsewhere. We did them in 2015.

Wonderful work as always, top notch. Very nice. Did CP Rail and other railroads put the striping on the front and the rear of the locomotives as a visibility thing? So they could be seen approaching grade crossings? I imagine that's why but not 100% positive. Great video. 👍

Will Rapido be doing CN FA2 and FPA2 locos in both CN liveries?
We have already done the FA2 in the green and gold. We're sold out. We may do FPA-2s in stripes at some point.

Maybe at some point! It depends on how well the Comets do.

Probably. We're doing a big push for them in the next couple of months and we will start production later in the spring.
