I’ve said it before, Simon, you are one intrepid dude and so is that pup. Re your pizza dough, for the love of everything sacred, you need to allow the yeast to ferment and rise the dough before you bake it. Otherwise you end up eating a flat, hard biscuit not puffy soft bread/pizza base. Give it 45 mins to increase in size. Pop your dough in a bowl drizzled w a bit of oil, cover, and let the yeast do its work. Your dough will become elastic. You could afford to add a bit more water, too. All the best for 2023!
I understand that you’re food cooking is truly important to your health and needs as a mountain climber. You probably use more energy than loggers in the old days. Good to stay healthy with the veggies. You definitely need it. Love watching your videos. I’ve always needed educational content. 🎉
@Che Robinson She has a very good customized jacket by Forest. Please check out the previous video. And the booties are probably very hard to keep on her tiny, speeding feet. And Rocko also lets Forest know when she wants to be carried in his jacket. They have an amazing bond and Forest is ALWAYS concerned with Rocko's best interest. 🐾💕
Foresty, thank you for the past year of content. I was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2021, and your channel has been my go-to on chemo weeks when I most need a smile (Rocko is a blessing!) and beautiful scenery - your cinematography is outstanding! Don't ever think your content is too boring or too short. I love to see just the nuts and bolts of your van life as much as the epic mountain climbs. Please be safe in 2023!
fantastic to find a place for laundry and shower! with that and a store for food and firewood, plus post office and wifi, my life in a van could truly be worthwhile!
Lived in a barn for the month of September with no running water or power. Forest, you helped inspire me to take that step. Sold my house, left my job and lived for once. It's gonna be a great 2023. Happy New Year to you and Rocko!
Honestly, could not imagine a better way to start 2023 other than actually being at these summits. Thank you, Foresty, for everything you do. Much love, brother
my friend the other day spent a few hours running around looking for a crock pot while he was on vacation, he eventually gave up and called me to rant, I told him your not going to find one because Forresty Forest who lives in a van went back to that way of cooking and he found a singing crock pot that probably caused a buying spree of Christmas shoppers buying every crock pot out there in hopes of finding one that sings
Oh Foresty, you got me again. Those drone shots were other worldly. You are no longer My Dear Lone Wolf (obviously 🐕) You are now My Favorite Mountain Man Godspeed
Your drone footage and choice of music is always fantastic. Do a montage of all your summits and im sure it would be a top viewed video. Happy new year!
FF, Really enjoy your content! Where did your “Foresty Forest” introduction song go? My wife and I really liked it and it set the tone for your adventures. Just wanted you to know. Keep safe and keep the great videos coming! All the best, Clark
Here is an old family recipe for thin crust used for pizza and perogies In bowl mix 3/4 of ver warm water Mix in 2 tbsp of oil Dissolve 1/2 tsp salt Add 2 cups flour Kneed and shape Hope this works for you Cheers Colleen Rubellion Offroad
Definitely some of your most epic drone footage. Oh and I think your music selection was one of your best as well. And looking forward to your travels in 2023.
I use Roland Balsamic glaze but I never got around to reducing it like that- I will have to try that when out of glaze. That peak is definitely striking!
Try letting the dough sit and rise. Cover it with plastic. When it's fluffy and light like feather knit it again. I'm not sure but to get a thin crust you should add only a little yeast and it should be the other kind the biological one. The water can't be too hot or it will mess up the fermentation. With all said I don't know for sure. It's a good question how to make thin crust dough. And you don't really need to cook it first, cook it with sauce and cheese and add the other toppings later. Ok I'll stop now.
Happy new years Foresty! If you want to up your pizza game I would highly recommend to increase the dough hydration (eg 70%) and let it rise longer, so the gluten can develop and bubbles can form. Keep up your cooking adventures, it’s really fun to see what you can prepare!:)
That drone view of the mountains is fantastic! Foresty and Rocco happy new year to you two have fun and safe trips in the years to come, stay safe and healthy! From very warm rainy southern Ontario 🇨🇦
Dude, after a long day, I'm like, hey where's my turkey slices and some cheese?? Let's call that dinner. I'm blown away that you don't even have the pre-cooked bacon! Much respect.
Check out Craters of The Moon National Monument. Very surreal and abstract landscape. Amazing views from the top of Inferno Cone! Quick, but fairly steep hike to the top.
Imho, some of the best of FF videography in a while. ❤❤ His hand on the van door after the climb always brings a sigh of relief, even after all these years …🎉🎉🎉
HI FORESTY AND ROCCO!! YOU ALWAYS MAKE WHAT YOUR COOKING LOOK SO EASY AND YUMMY. THAT PIZZA LOOKED AMAZING. IT'S A WONDER ROCCO DIDN'T ATTACK IT. HA HA!! HOPE YOUR FEELING BETTER AND HOPE THE FUTURE IS BETTER FOR YOU. THANKS AND STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY ❤️ 🙏❤️🙏
Once your wood or block is burning hot turn the front air intake way down. They will burn slower and last longer. As long as there's very little smoke coming out the chimney it's an efficient burn. Thank you for your hard work on this channel!!
Happy New Year Forestry. What an awesome view. The only word I could come up with Wow! Anyway I wish you the very best in 2023. Happiness, Peace, God health and Prosperity
Happy new year Foresty and Rocko. I don't know what the record is for a man and his dog climbing to the top of mountains, but I am certain that you guys will set the world record together.
What a beautiful new year surprise! Happy New Year to you and Rocko. You just made my night! I hope you found a turkey dinner. Take care Simon. 🐕🏔❤🔥🎆🐐
Happy New Year from Scotland 🏴. Thanks for another great year of videos. Don’t let you burning bricks get any moisture into them as they will swell. I make them for a living, I have a customer who cuts them up as he has a small stove. Just be aware of the dust.

Rocco has better self control around bacon than me
😆😂😄
🤣🤣🤣🥓
Hahaha 😄
ouch
Same 👌🤣
Rocco is such a chilled out pup
the drone shots almost capture the majesty of those mountains. You've inspired me to get a drone!
There's something truly magical about watching a man living so much at peace with himself and the life that he's designed for himself. You inspire me.
Most people who climb will do one summit and bore friends and family with the story and pictures. But our Forestry has done 177 what a summit man.
Starting 2023 with a F.F. video is the best beginning I could wish for.
Rocco looks so lean and muscley. Such a great life for a dog 👌🏻
The little Rocko tracks in the snow next to yours are the cutest thing EVER 🐾
❤️🐾❤️
Needs a jacket! And boots. I’ve seen dogs loose paws to frostbite.

@@cherobinson6371 I’ve seen spiders big as bears out past the frostfangs
Gourmet dining on the road. You take good care of yourself and that's what makes life rich.

The drone footage accompanied with the piano almost made me cry.
The first of 2023!
This gentleman needs to be boosted come on people.
This channel gets *boosted* every night
Love how this dude be making pizza in his van without a recipe. Legend.
Lived in a barn for the month of September with no running water or power. Forest, you helped inspire me to take that step. Sold my house, left my job and lived for once. It's gonna be a great 2023. Happy New Year to you and Rocko!
Start a RUclips channel to record your adventure and we'll follow along with you!
Bryan, wishing you the best with your new adventures
Barn Life, maybe you're onto something! Happy New Year 🍻
@@LadyShmady If you are looking for more content, while I don't live in a barn I do live a life of adventure and film it.
I like the idea of you starting a channel Bryan👍
Happy New Year! Way to have a thinner crust is simple, more water...just like Gramma rectangle pizza
That dog is cute
Visual mind blow again at 1:46 Stunning! Video....had to rewind it three times...

Honestly, could not imagine a better way to start 2023 other than actually being at these summits. Thank you, Foresty, for everything you do. Much love, brother
Rocko looked pretty tuckered out after that summit lol
Foresty does it all climbs mountains, cooks, cleans and cuts his own hair! love to see it
Dude, that drone footage at the mountain was phenomenal. Thanks Fo-doggy! Happy 2023. You're a freakin' legend.
Happy new year! Thanks!
That pizza was legendary!
I like watching the snow blowing up and over the top of the mountain.
Happy new year Foresty, have a 2023 full of slow cooks and many summits!
During the drone footage I like to play " where's Simon ".
my friend the other day spent a few hours running around looking for a crock pot while he was on vacation, he eventually gave up and called me to rant, I told him your not going to find one because Forresty Forest who lives in a van went back to that way of cooking and he found a singing crock pot that probably caused a buying spree of Christmas shoppers buying every crock pot out there in hopes of finding one that sings

Higher hydration, and longer rest (overnight in fridge) will make for a more elastic dough that you can stretch thinner.
I’m wondering: could you train Rocko to retrieve the camera/tripod when you leave it behind for a “walking away” shot? Also, happy new year!

I use Roland Balsamic glaze but I never got around to reducing it like that- I will have to try that when out of glaze. That peak is definitely striking!
Thank you for the jacket on Rocko.
Forestry, if you make your pizza dough ahead and give it time to rise before rolling out, the crust with be lighter/less dense.
I have the cub too and I also use the biobricks! They burn pretty long I like them😊
Happy new year buddy! Thanks for continuing to take us all along with you! All the best to you & Rocco in 2023!
