That was one nasty wind you went through Jarl. I've heard of guys dumping a pot of hot water on those propane heater exhausts to get them cleared. Not sure if that would work with the Truma. It's times like that when you find out what works and what doesn't under severe conditions. I'm glad I watched this, I was considering the Truma for my build. I think I'll go with Webasto. How far up North were you?
The Truma is excellent, as long as you run it it will not clog up, I have used it every day for 4 months through the winter without any faults, and I was able to clear the clogging with a little screwdriver.
@@Roadghost88 Truma is the company that has set the "standards" for all other wanna be copycats. I believe Webasto requires Diesel whereas the Truma requires Electricity & or Propane.
eating burritos, drinking hot coffee, enjoying extreme weather conditions, reading a good book and the van rocking you to sleeping...like a baby, what can be more satisfying than that?
I lived for 50 years in Michigan and for the past few years, I’ve been living in Tennessee. This might sound strange to people around here, but I miss the snow. I miss the snowstorms. There isn’t a better feeling in the world, to have the snow coming down, the wind whipping around, and being warm inside with a fire.

I can relate to your feeling of your love for snow, I once lived in Colorado, a small town, where it snowed a lot. Compared to New Mexico living. I miss Colorado.❤

Wow, your winter van life adventures are absolutely captivating! Surviving blizzards, snow storms, and freezing temperatures while camping in your Fiat Ducato van is both thrilling and inspiring. The cozy feeling of the blizzards and snow storms you captured in HDR truly transports viewers into the heart of the Arctic wilderness. Keep sharing your incredible experiences, and stay warm out there! ❄️🚐🌬️
My heart rate goes up just watching this! I can't even imagine what it would be like to sit in that van with all that chaos going on outside. You are a brave man.
I love hunkering down in inclement weather when you're prepared for it. Having the necessary tools, supplies, and shelter mean everything. You're only missing a dog for security and companionship.
I don't think I've ever witnessed a snowstorm of this magnitude. The wind is violent. I love the sound of the wind. You just keep on keeping on. Your videography is incredible, black and white, naturally. I hope you are warm enough. Be safe!
You could be in a tent lol Best film yet . Pushing the envelope is fantastic. You have shore power. I hope maybe you upgrade your van to not need shore power . Be invincible. The footage is amazing. People in their warm beds are living adventures through you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You are blessed by God to have the privilege of going through a storm like that with all of your comforts. Absolutely awesome!! I’ve watched this 5 times already!
Amazing weather brrrrrr. Watching your adventures is costing us a fortune in logs but myself and the wife are now getting used to watching the films with our coats on .Cant for the next one.
Growing up and living in northern Maine (USA), we get some very strong blizzards. During blizzards our small house shakes and groans, so being in a van during a particularly nasty blizzard must have been harrowing...AND FUN! The shaking and rocking would have put me right to sleep. Stay safe and keep the great videos coming.
Being in touch with one's environment and weather conditions is a commendable way to live one's life. No television, no recorded music or radio gumming up the experience. We seem to have lost that direct connection with the world around us. Many of us remember that as children we did not need any electronic distraction to feel that we were alive. That is an enviable way to be. (Reminds me of my childhood, me lying on my bed -- looking out the window at a little humming bird sitting on her tiny nest. I felt privileged being able to observe nature closely.)
Oh my goodness!! Just when you thought you were done with storms!! The cabin looks lovely, would be nice to see it in the summer ☀️ Please stay safe out there!! xx
After watching you make the avocado egg burrito it peaked my interest, having never eaten avocado nor pesto … so I picked up the ingredients you used and researched how to know if the avocado is ripe … came back to this video and made it watching you … I must say I fully expected not to like it… however it was delicious… will be looking forward to other recipes with pesto & avocado… I enjoy watching from West Virginia in the United States… please stay safe and warm… may angels watch over you everywhere you go 🙋🏻♀️😊

Hi, first, I want to give you my greatest respect, I also plan to live in the Van full-time in Oslo, and I still can not imagine what it will be like, the winter in Norway is brutal
Just descended from the warm mountains of your 5 hour journey through the wild west...😊 I immediately find myself in a storm of Jarl's new adventures... 😊
Hello from Canada. That's a nasty snow storm. Here I have seen winds of almost 140kmh which I believe is over 38m/s. That much wind is not normal here but I've seen it quite a few times. I drove a snow plow for many years and it's nice now to be able to enjoy winter a bit more.
I live in the Great Plains of America and grew up with 50 - 70 mph winds even on sunny days. Frankly, I like wind and find it soothing - as long as a tree won't fall on me, or my roof won't be ripped off. Just lay down and take a nap.
I remember the Blizzard of 78. I must have been about 11 years old. I lived in Rochester New Hampshire a small town called Barrington. It Shut down the schools for weeks. Snow drifts were over houses. The snow had closed down the Spalding turnpike in Rochester. The officials ask people with snowmobiles to help people that were stuck. I remember this like yesterday. And it was so exciting to me. I can remember being outside in it and I was so excited. Never once did I think I shouldn't be out here, I am testing my limit. No I was enjoying myself. You're in a van. A sturdy van and you're worried? The scenery is so beautiful up in Norway. You are so lucky to be experiences firsthand. I saw one of the other videos which I enjoyed. I'll have to go back and relook at it. This one I think silence can be golden. Hopefully the next one will be more captivating to me. Keep working on it
Wow, that was intense. Add in heater failure and you have quite the experience. The Van shaking was extreme. You almost needed to take Dramamine for motion sickness. Lol. See ya on the next one.
Years ago, my husband and I experienced similar situation in a travel trailer Ev. The ice/snow dripping was actually condensation, if you could figure out some sort of dehumidification without power you would notice a big improvement. Big shout out from Northern Canada, keep warm and safe journeys!
This was such an Awesome video. I was glued to the screen. Enjoyed the Scenery, the actual noise of the Wind & the snow blowing and accumulation. I could be so comfortable w heat, food & going to sleep. Thank you for sharing. God Bless
Awesome video. with hurricane force winds, not sure I would have stayed in the van, with a perfectly good cabin sitting right there, made it made for a great video, showing the force of nature. be safe, from a south Texas fan.
What a great storm! Loved your video. We're in south Georgia and today, Halloween, I worked in my garden under brilliant sunshine, pristine blue skies, and in balmy temperatures reaching 78 degrees. I hate snow and ice. We have lived in Georgia for 26 years, and I can recall icy, dangerous roads exactly one time. One road closed, for about six hours, on a bridge over the Chatahoochee River.
Snowstorm? Oh geez, that is more like an artic blizzard crossed with a tornado. 😂😂😂 If I ever see a video where you are not about to get swept away, I will have to look twice. 😅😅😸✌️🇱🇷
Haha, yes it is much more than a snow storm indeed, maybe I should add Tornado to the title, or maybe people would say then «this is not a tornado», Thanks for the idea!

Hello from Australia Norwegian Explorer you are a braver man than i am what a storm your van held up quite well during this storm so did you i really enjoy your video's i am new to you tube so i am feeling my way around thank you for the adventure and take care.

Grateful you, & your van, have remained safe thru more amazing weather conditions. Even tho you HAD to stay there for couple days, it is good to know just how sturdy your van is in these extreme conditions, is it not? Well, thank you for sharing your adventure of being "stranded"! The blizzard! The hurricane force winds! And then YOU got outside too! I think I could feel the sting of the wind on my face & the cold landscape all around! Your filming is captivating! Stay safe out there ! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us! I love going along.

Wow! Just amazing…I love the piece with you having dinner with a raging blizzard viewed through your window. Your Van is a true extreme weather champ. As always, stay safe my friend.

Thank you Carol!
