They built in two series from 1966 to 1979 by Claas. The 640 and 642 were the big model built to compete in the US with the JD 105/7700 and IH 503/915.
Dad bought a brand new ford 642 in 79 with a 15 ft beanhead for $45000. Sold the combine last year had about 2000hrs on it. Nice machine hard to get parts for.
@@bigtractorpower yes I once saw a Claas Dominator Ford Model 106 produced in 290 copies only 6 still active to date and this is what makes me money thinking about this model that I saw in my opinion it is the Dominator 106 remodify to ford
Ford offered combines in blue from 1966 to 1979. The Ford 642 was the brands top combine from 1972-1979. The blue Ford combines were built by Claas. Before 1966 Ford combines were painted red and built by Oliver. Ford combines were combines in the US to offer a buddy seat, integrated head lights and a closing grain bin. This field was matted from a wind storm. It was tough going. It was the one chance to film a Ford so I took it. The 542 has a Massey branded head. It is the same Heas built in blue. Claas built combines for Massey in the late 80’s and early 90s.
Cool to see! We used to have a Ford 630 combine. I think it was a rebranded Claas Senetor. But had a Ford desiel engine in it, otherwise everything else Claas.
Very cool. The 630 is an extra neat combine because it for right between the 640 and 620. It is probably the rarest Ford. Claas built Ford combines from 1966-1979. The 640 and 630 were the first combines in the US offer a buddy seat, automotive style, integrated headlights, and a closing grain bin.
Have never saw a Ford badged combine 👍👍👍

Wow, that is a rare one. Great job Jason. 👏
It is. I was excited to find a Ford still in use.
That is an amazing find. In all the years I've been in agriculture and all the equipment I've seen I've never seen one of these. Great video.
Oldie but Goldie👍
I knew they couldn't have made many of them. They had a decent pull type back in the day. Thanks for sharing Jason.

Very cool. One of my favorite combines.
I don't think I've ever seen a blue combine in my life
Claas built combines for Ford from 1966 to 1979. They are a rare find today.
I'm surprised any of them are still around and my neck of the woods they all caught fire and burnt down

2000 made
Cool. That was when they were rebranded Claas(?).
Yes Claas built Ford combines from 1966-1979.
A Claas Dominator 105 painted blue. Sounds like the Mercedes engine still in it but it will almost certainly be a Ford engine.
Yes Claas built Ford’s combines from 1966-1979. They were powered by Ford engines.
Mahtavaa😁👍
Ford offered blue combines from 1966 to 1979. 👍👍

What for motor is in this old ford combine
That’s definitely not a common sight 👍🏻
It was neat to find.
Class?
Yes. Claas built combines for Ford from 1966 to 1979.
Class dominator 80 ??
I believe it is a 105. It was the big model for Ford and on par with a John Deere 7700 and IH 915 combine also offered in the 70’s.
@@bigtractorpower ok worked for class dealer in uk79 to 1995

Please make this a mod for FS 22 😂
It would be cool.
