Nice to see big, new, $$ machines... but kudos to the 'smaller' farmers getting it done so well with older yet proven equipment!! Keeping America great!!
👍👍
I bet a good dollar that those older machines are making more money per acre than the billion dollar ones. Love the 8820 JD. My dad had a 1986 model. Now my neighbor own's it and I love to see it making money. We have 9760 and 9750.
My favorite is 01 the 100,000 Axial Flow combine. I was a design engineer in East Moline when that unit was built and we got a commemorative pewter combine to mark the milestone.
I liked the Gleaner S97 in this video. In 1979 I went on a wheat harvest and drove a Gleaner L2 all summer. Started out in Rolling Fork, Mississippi and went all the way to Jordan, Montana cutting wheat.
Wow what a trip with an L2. I hope to film an L2 some day.
I wonder if combine heads will get wider than that 62 footer on the Fendt.
I think they will.@@bigtractorpower
Hell yeaget some
I bet you went with Jim Mac!!
Oh my favorite was the JD 8820 combine. I love the look of classic combines
The yellow top Turbos are so cool.
We have a John Deere 7720 and it’s awesome she runs good
What an awesome collection of combines, Jason! That Nexat is off the charts. I saw videos of one at the Farm Progress show. Just unbelievable technology. But to see an old UNI System and Turbo 8820, brings back memories of my youth. I really would have been blown away seeing an old JD 105 Corn Special. There has to be some of those still out there. What an awesome machine that was in the 60s!. I'll never forget when my dad bought his.
*I have a soft spot for the JD 8820 combine - it's my favorite. The classic design of combines like this just captivates me.*
That 8820 was a MONSTER in its day…. So unbelievable big…… looks like it is still screaming right along.
It was a monster. Still very large and in charge.
love seeing the combines no matter what size but the bigger machines today are mind boggling unreal
Excellent video once again big T 👍👍👍 Hard to pick a favourite from such a good variety but the Fendt with 60 foot header was cool...
We had an 8820 T2 and yeah the Titan 2 was a benchmark machine for probably 20yrs, i'd never seen the New Idea chopper before. happy hogmany Jason n family
That was good!!!! That 503c is in great shape!!!
That was a neat find this year.
The UNI set up with the direct cut head was the most interesting catch in this video.
Great compilation of all kinds of harvester brands and types. The JD 8820 was my favorite. Gotta like the X9 as well. Very much looking forward to BTP videos in 24!!! Thank you Jason really!!
Have you ever used the JD 8820?
Wow..62 foot header. Unreal.
They keep getting bigger and bigger.
Excellent video 👍
You have filmed so many nice machines this year😉👍 my favorite was the centennial gleaner😁👍 thank you for all the great videos you shared with us this year, I really appreciate your hard work. Bigtractorpower is without a doubt one of the best youtube channels out there👍👍
Thank you very much Jason, happy new year to you and your family🎉
Love the older deeres. Nothing better out there
Whoever is running the Fendt 10T needs to dial that reel speed back from mach 10. crazy
Could be his computer don't know what's going on or his computer brain ha
Watching you work in the garden is so calming
Started out in Rolling Fork, Mississippi and went all the way to Jordan,
The affordability of small-scale agriculture machines benefits small farmers.
In the mid 90s as a teenager I worked on a dairy farm driving a silage dump truck. The New Idea forage harvester is the exact same one we used.
Very cool. That was big chopping. What truck did you run?
@@bigtractorpower it was an International V8 diesel with a 28 ton capacity silage box.
@@silvershelbygt500 very cool
I like watching the Oxbow Sweet Corn picker the best and wish to see more videos from them. Thank you.
Yeah, I'm the same as you. Absolutely love watching them harvest sweet corn with Oxbow
8820 was a mean machine back in it's day We lost it to a fire in 1999 could not find anything in season had to settle for a J D 9500 was a big step down capacity wise and H P but has been a good one Still using it today along with a J D 9760
Can't forget the sweet corn pickers
Amazing combine 👍🚜😁
Thank you for watching.
That NexSat combine would be awesome to see in the 1100 acre field in Kentucky!!
I have told them Kentucky has plenty of ground to cover with a NeXat.
I liked the uni system
The Gleaner, the smallest, least expensive, and the most productive combine made.
What about repairs and parts? I mean realistically in the modern world of farming, can it keep up to say 500-1000 acres of wheat a year? We have hired harvesters the past 40 years because my dad was tired of messing with combines, but now we are spending most our profits just to get it out of the field
@@hughjanus8126 A 1500 sep. hour R76 can handle 100-200 acres a day of wheat easily.
Watching this makes me feel closer to nature
Thank you for this video I loved them all especially the gleaner special edition and the case ih
Special edition with the stripe down the side I love the old machines tho still seeing them being used yet today . I enjoyed watching all of them in action .
I want to wish you and your family HAPPY AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR .
Those are two great historical combines. Happy New Year.
Oh yeah I knew there’d be a Gleaner in the top 10 👍👍
It had to be at 100 years 😁👍👍
@@bigtractorpower for sure lol 😆
The 62' on the 10T was insane....
Love them all for sure cool mix of old and new
Thank you for watching. I like to cover all the brands.
@bigtractorpower yea as much as I like john deere it's always cool to see other brands
Great video Jason i liked al l of your picks
i like the new idea uni system harvester.
I loved the video I am a gleaner fan myself but the Nexat combine was something to see. I bet it takes big money to own one of those.
Howdy bigtractorpower Happy new year
Thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the machines. The Gleaner takes the cake though!
Would love to see an international 1470 combine hugging some hills!
I have one filmed. Stay tuned
Jason , I would recommend for 2024 to film a farm in west central Minnesota. Farm has been in business since 1918 and has lots of acres and equiptment.
They are on you tub. 5th generation now operating. They have 3 Quads , 1 Johm Deere 4wd and many other production items.
Glad to see western New York in there a few times! Happy new year!
Great region for farming and cool farm machinery.
I didn't see the 9250 Case IH on here
Glad you included the oxbo picker.
I grew up 10 miles from the OXBO plant in Byron, NY. One of my favorite farm machines.
Great collection. Love the variety.
I like to cover all the brands.
Fun watching some new as well as classic equipment. Nice job Mike!
Good video good to see you
I liked seeing #1. I was there and remember when the 100,000th Axial Flow went down the line in East Moline.
Very cool. Do you recall what day in 1998 it was built? I was excited to locate this historic combine to film.
@@bigtractorpower I don't know the day but it was in September 1998. They made a pretty big deal about it. They even had a little pewter trinket that they gave to all the employees to commemorate the occasion. That's actually how I know it was September.
8820 was my favorite
😁👍
That Nexat is an interesting machine...I wonder how it would do in corn that was laid down due to wind or snow...nice video Jason..happy new year
Wow, this video is absolutely fantastic! I was captivated from start to finish. The content is so informative and well-presented, and the visuals are stunning. I really appreciate the effort that went into creating this. Keep up the amazing work! Looking forward to more great content from your channel. 👏👏👏
Thank you for watching. It was a great year for harvesting.
John Deere baby!❤
Great brand.
Good video.
Nice just goes 2 show u with that x9 who has the right away 2 cool😮
We have a 1644 case international axial flow combine with a 6 row corn head with 30 inch row. I live in dyersville iowa.
Nice you could get the Nextat. That's one I'd love to drive.
I really like Gleaner, Massey Ferguson, and New Holland and John Deere too
All good machines.
You can be proud of your work! Always an original content 👍🏼 not like those « youtubers » they steal the content of real makers. Happy new year!
yes more info on the 20 row harvester
Love your videos! Can’t wait to see more amazing ones in 2024!
i cant help but think of another type of combine.... but jokes aside the video is great 👍
Oi 👍✌️✌️👍
I like your videos, you should make a video of the top ten tractors of 2023,It would be very interesting!
COOL 😎.
Thank you for watching.
Favorite is the 2366. Maybe someday you can get a 2144 like mine on there.
I'm new to RUclips and look forward to your support🎉😊
Happy New Year BTP and family! Very cool video.
Happy New year Jason
8820 titan 2 well built machine
When you see all this awesome diesel power, how are they ever going to come close to battery power and accomplish the same. Government mandates coming regardless?
Tell the govt no, just no!
If the government thinks for a minute they're going to force battery power in something that large before the technology catches up, I'm of the opinion that there will be a lot of hungry people in this country
Never happen
Great year of videos.
Thank you for watching.
Wish you a blessed new year janson, please can you make us a video on NEXAT, i havent seen any on your channel, and tell us abaut it, and ask the farmers how they fell abaut it, thanks a lot
No combine will ever sound as good as the 2366 or 2388
Great machines.
Oi garoto mulher na cadeirinha
Seems like that John Deere 8820 with the 8 row head performed just as well as that giant NEXAT with the 20 row head and 1,100 HP engine. New is not always better.
😎😎
Thank you for watching.
A 62' wide grain head. Wow
They just keep getting bigger. It’s amazing
And he only uses 60 ft of it dont get it
Some oldies doing a great job there, bet they didnt cost a million bucks or more like the giants of today! the 62 foot header will need to flex cause one side could be up in the air and the other ploughing!!
8820 turbo
👍👍
Excellent video reminds me of my younger days running some of the older Deere combines. Technology has really stepped up as you can see in the Nexat machine. Any idea where that video was taken with that unit and the twenty row corn head?
John Deere X9 1100 = CROPZILLA!😂
They eat up the acres fast.
Shows who's the bad ass with the right away too cool😮
I wonder if that single X9 could combine as many bushels per hour as the 3 8820's?
It can do the same or more. The 8820 can do about 2300 bushel an hour in high yielding corn. Times 3 is 6600 bushels an hour. One x9 can do about 7300 bushel per hour.
The 8820 will burn about 18 gallons an hour. Times 3 equals 54 gallons an hour. The x9 about 45 gallons an hour. So the x9 will get more bushels per hour on less fuel than 3 8820’s. Not to mention two less operators!
@@gregjames5070 it would sure be interesting to see a side by side compression
I'd like 2 see the x9 n 25 yrs all though I won't make it to c shucks😊
I cannot get over how many people run the reels too fast, the tines are dragging through the crop at those speeds not just holding the crop in place
Jason,
Do you have the 50ft 20 Row Geringoff Corn Head in another video? I'd like to see more on it, but couldn't find it elsewhere.
Stay tuned for that one. I have not made the NEXAT video yet. I have it planting and harvesting.
Thanks. Looking forward to it.
I wonder if combine heads will get wider than that 62 footer on the Fendt.
I think they will.
With 1,000 hp; that Nexat should be pushing at least a 40 row corn head.
Currently Geringhoff’s 20 row 30 inch corn head is the largest corn head on the market.
You showed the Nexat in what looks like 100 bushel corn. What would it do in 300 bushel corn?
Was the oxbo in Minnesota ?
Do you have full videos of the Zexat combine and the 3 20 series combines at the beginning?
Yes. They will be out this fall.
How about a tribine if any are still around
Piękne maszyny. Większość nie spotykana w moim kraju w Polsce. Polecam juz nie nie produkowane Polskie kombajny Bizon. Pozdrawiam i Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku 2024 Błogosławieństwa Bożego
Do you have any videos on a case ih 8010?
Yes. I have an AFX 8010 filmed I need to make a video on.
Like to see a WHITE 9700
I have you covered on the 9700. I filmed one a few years ago ruclips.net/video/rHFsYJQjz1o/видео.htmlsi=npgL5DqLTc61aIXE
I loved the 8820, awesome machine back in the day. I had a 7720 when I farmed, another good one. The nexat not so much. Just not sure if that machine is a fit for north America. Just not sold on it.
Who makes the 62 foot header. I also haven’t seen a grain cart like the one with the New Holland used before.
GTS makes the 62ft. They make Draper and Corn heads.
The cart is a Sunflower Dump cart.
@@bigtractorpower is Gts an Australian company?
Brazilian.
Australian make 60 foot heads and they are called Midwest.@@1214101
How do you get sound with your drone
I place a go pro on the machine to capture the sound. This way the drone video matches the farm equipments sounds.
My what good ears u have the better 2hear all that power sound😊
Just waiting for 2024 introduction of the Case AF series machines will set the bar a bit higher 700-900 horsepower
Me too and the NH CR 11
Ii wonder if the NH CR11 will be built in Nebraska.@@bigtractorpower
@@John-nc4bl all New Holland combine production moved to Belgium in 2019.
Hopefully we will see the AF10 at the National Farm Machinery Show.
Can anyone tell me what crop number 6 was? It looked like short wheat but I’ve never seen it chopped like silage. Thanks
I think it was wheat as well
It was drought-stressed wheat
👏👏👍👍🚜🚜👌👌🙏🙏🌹🌹🇧🇷🇧🇷
😁👍👍
I know fields get bigger the farther west you travel but that is the point of the 1100 buschel combine? Seems like a lot of money for something that does the same as a normal machine
When most combines have 500 bu grain tanks having ability to hold 1100 makes not necessary need a grain cart
The NeXat has double to harvesting capability of any combine on the market today. It can also be used as a planter and a sprayer.
@@bigtractorpower, will the NeXat be offered with forage harvesting capability eventually?
the gleaner has to be the worst looking combine ever, i just hate the design, also why not including a claas combine ?
I could only pick 10 combines and harvesters. I did have a chance to film Claas this year for a full video. I did catch a Trion 750 and Lexion 8700 at Farm Progress. If I could have found a Trion for a full video it would have been on this list.. I cut a Challenger 560C and an IH 1480 that I would like to have included but it could only be 10.
