It’s amazing to see these modern machines in action. I really admire the professionalism and dedication in your video, especially the segment at 04:20!
Respect to the dtiver here. Man knows how to get that thing out of a tight ass gateway. I know by expierience of tight spaces with a 3500 gallon slurry tank that is not easy.
It really is fascinating. On this vehicle the rear axle is supposed to steer but it's been removed. Instead of steerable wheels they've had to make it so the entire rear trailer and frame articulate wheel you turn the steering wheel. You can see at 0:36 that there are hydraulic cylinders that control the angle between the harvester and the trailer but overall none of the tires change direction.
@@newsweathertraffic18 Yes but I meant the trailers pulled behind the tractors. Their wheel are driven I suppose to help in very wet conditions. You can see the propshaft at 4:11 that goes to the axle of the trailer
Very interesting. But I wonder how they are driven? I didn't see the PTO was operating when driving, but perhaps the drive wasn't engaged. It could also be hydraulic... Anyone knows?
@@kristofferfalk5339 Probably via the pto but only at a certain speed else the gear ratios will not match. I have seen something similar before on a farm in the kalahari. The farmer took his old farm izuzu and found another diff at a scrap yard. He somehow connected them via a pto and modifing the diff of the truck. He said it worked well and he doesnt get stuck in the sand so much
@@jacobotes8443 Some tractors have "ground speed" PTO gears, where the speed of the PTO is dependent on the wheel speed of the tractor instead of the engine speed, but I haven't seen it on much newer equipment, so it may just be that they have a certain gear in which they can use the PTO. That being said, if you need the trailer wheels to help you out, it's probably slippery enough that a slight mismatch in ratios won't damage anything anyways.
Looks really cool. I'm aMaized that you can drive on the road without any protection covers for that pickup head. Here the police would immediately stop you, give the driver a ticket, and lock the vehicle down until you put covers on. 😅
Maybe they could even make it drive at an angle like modern sugarbeet harvesters can. That way the tires don't all drive over the same ground and they can reduce compaction. Wouldn't work when unloading of course.
Harvesting corn using the Claas 980 Field Shuttle combined with the New Holland T7.270 Blue Power Tractoren offers a perfect combination of performance and technology. The Claas 980 Field Shuttle stands out for its fast and efficient harvesting, thanks to its advanced technology and intelligent design.
This machine has been driving around in my area. I always wondered why they removed the rear axle , i'd just leave it there and make a trailer instead of this.
I'm pretty sure that tractor spotter is just a person who films different farming operations. Other than that i don't think they are involved in any agriculture business
You need less manpower and less machinery. With the conventional setup you would need at least one more tractor and Trailer but I think 2 to 3 more likely
In Europe you have farms that are placed in the middle of villages. The farms are old and the villages grew over the times. The houses and the street look like a village. So the house of the farm is on the front of the street and all the other buildings are in the back.
That wouldn’t really work since a bale roller’s job is to roll straw, grass and hay. But it wouldn’t work since the Claas is harvesting corn it dose not make materials to create bale.
@@snowfighter62 If you actually check online picture, there is no cover on left side in every single piece photographed. But thank for commenting back ;).
Who left the Germans unsupervised with a welder again?
ROFL!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
België
It wasn't a german !! Bc the netherlandian knows much better about economy and cost efficient 😊
Greetings from Germany
I am quite impressed how underneath articulate joint can withstand weight force there, nice video...
Just the best tractor videos. I admire the skill it takes to drive that big forager around. Hard to find talent like that anymore. Good video.
It's not harder than before, it was always hard
Www
Such fascinating contraptions related to farming. Thanks for sharing. Happy 😊 subscriber. Keep them coming.
This video made my day. Keep up the fantastic work

Interesting to see the trailers with driven axles

Very rare to see, such combo. Thx. 👍🏾😎
That things the future of chopping
Great video. The Claas 980 drives quit fast in the maize
amazing modern agriculture machines.😍😍😍
The investment in the machinery to perform this task is probably 'mind-blowing'. How many cattle(cows and/or feeders) are supported by this?
That is very hard to say, the company running these machines is a contractor and works for a lot of different farmers.
Or could be for a bga plant that shit makes money to
Sacree ensileuse 👍👌
Awesome video and Claas machine. Greets Stefan

I want this in farming simulator 22 it would make silage so much more fun

Is this officially marketed by Claas? Or is it a modified one?

Shorter, better traction, better maneuverability, off-track driving....
The longer it is,the more dificult to turn,i thought this exist only in farming simulator

Why do they park that thing in a neighborhood?

По-моему мнению ерунда если 2 трактор а стояли по концам поля тогда класс. Не ездил за комбайном когда он на грузится вот.
It should have bale roller from behind
That wouldn’t really work since a bale roller’s job is to roll straw, grass and hay. But it wouldn’t work since the Claas is harvesting corn it dose not make materials to create bale.

Claas 980 Field Shuttle that costs 600K USD does not even have a plastic cover over the empty wheel places. Pathetic :)
There is a cover on the right side. Who knows what happened to the cover on the left side? Thanks for your pathetic comment. :-(

Only Americans need such beauty corrections. It has no practical use and only costs money. So it makes no sense.
