Couple little tips You can grind down the fromt of the caliper to make it fit better for your offset. Steel brake lines and upgrading the MC to a bigger one will really bring the brakes alive

I heard the Coupe shape is more Aerodynamic than the hatch shape but I'm not sure though how true it seems to make sense. This Dude I met at a meet ( he had a 9 sec drag racing hatch) told me the reason you don't see Coupes anymore is because they're all on drag racing duty sitting in someone's garage..I don't believe that though I think a lot of them are in the junk yard 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
or you can just do integra 94-01 RS/LS/GSR front brake coversion with their dual diaphram booster and master cylinder 15/16 with 40/40 prop valve.. closest to type R set up and a abs delete.. it works for me.
I haven't done a good test on the brakes because of the wheel fitment and overall condition and where it's at. Once the car is in suitable condition with my set of wheels and tires on I might test it but, it should stop better than an ex model, and A LOT more than a dx model. This car most likely will not see the streets much until the build is done tho. I see a few slotted and drilled jus looking with the correct lug pattern and 280mm size, and they say it fits mini coopers from 07-15, so it might fit.
@izzyfuntmetv2704 either needs more bleeding or you need to upgrade your mc. I have a del sol and all I did was upgrade to the 98-01 integra or 96-00 ek civic booster and master. Haven't had an issue.
What clips did u use for the pads. I did mine with out clips and I notice you had clips clicking into the pads. I have grinding and it gets stuck in reverse and there’s a clunk.
Depends on which model. The s and si won't work since it comes with the 9" rotor setup like the dx civic. If it's the VTEC model it should work since it has the same knuckle setup like the ex civic and integra.
I never really got to test the brakes in heavy breaking casue the car needs a windshield to drive on the road. It should theoreticaly perform as well as the Integra Type R becasue they are the same calipers. The rear disc conversion in general is better because you have to change the proportioning valve which changes the brake bias.
It depends. Since mine is still a 4x100 lug pattern I have to use mini cooper rotors because they are the correct pattern and 280mm. If you do a 5 lug swap, you can use crv rotors or itr rotors.

Don’t forget to tell everyone they need ex spindles to do this conversion.

People just have no love for these coupes 🥲

Went with the CRV since they have the same caliper as the Type R and use the same rotor size
Forgot to mention you need ex spindles to work. Will not work with dx/lx spindles
Is there a big difference on the breaks? Stopping power? Etc.. and I been trying to get slotted versions and no luck

EBC makes just slotted rotors
When you complete the install, did you have any issues with the brake pedal being spongy?
at the time when installed no, but now currently it becomes spongy after driving for a bit
@@Toonpiston did you fix the issue?

We just reused the clips that were already on it, since I'm pretty sure the new pads did not come with new clips
supposedly it drive better without the clips in the calipers
Always do the research first for a bbk 16" with a lower offset would be perfect
how about the brake line eg or the crv
The brake line is still the crv line that's on the caliper

The proportion valve is the 40/40 non abs since mine doesn't have abs. If I remember correctly, the booster and MC are from an EX civic.
