- The DIY Greenhouse is complete at last, so please step inside with me to see how useful a 7x9ft space can be. This is an unheated greenhouse at this point, so I won't be starting any seeds for several weeks. I've done a little seasonal decor inside the Greenhouse, but if you want to see some of my past Christmas Videos, I've linked them below.

Amazing Jeri…..a labor of love that just shows off your resilience and creative abilities in such a wonderful way, even in the midst of mishaps. Even when you salvage something, you manage to turn it into something beautiful in the end….all those stenciling, the shelves, the little washstand and antique clocks….just everything. Bless you my dear, you did not disappoint.👏🏻🤗🍃🌺🍃
It really helps having a huge barn in which to stash the salvaged items, I knew I'd need them someday.
That makes me laugh, talking about the stash. I know what I'm going to do with each thing, well almost. Stashed are a good thing.
I so enjoyed watching all your creative ideas. Your greenhouse is awesome! My husband is in the trades and can do anything. He salvaged cedar siding from a house that had peeling paint, planed it all down and its now my hobby/garden shop walls. 😊. He built benches and a window box for seed trays then installed tall upper cabinets left from our kitchen remodel on the bottom for more counter and storage space. I installed wrought iron brackets, clock shelves, salvage I’ve been storing for years and I salvaged from my Victorian farmhouse & late dads house I brought to this home knowing I would find a place for them. I just LOVE my “new” workspace. Its magical.
That sounds like a wonderful little building! BRAVO to your husband.
I'd give just about anything to have just the storage space for all the 'leftover' wood, antiques and salvage finds. Your greenhouse is beautiful
We're lucky to have a huge barn.
You certainly have the gift for taking ordinary, bits, and pieces, and making something beautiful. Great job!
This is the definition of ingenuity and creativity! The stained glass door, the wash stand with the
cast iron sink, all the shelving and trim all work together so perfectly. This is truly the most beautiful
greenhouse I've ever seen. Congratulations, Jeri!
Thank you very much!
I can't believe you did this! Oh wait...YES I CAN!! So beautiful and inspirational!
$400.00 bucks! You should be very proud of yourself. This whole process and project was great to be a part of even if only vicariously. Thank you so much for taking the time to film it and post it. You're so talented, thoughtful and a gift to all. Merry Christmas to you, Jim, and Hopalong Hollow. BTW my husband's name is James but in the Irish tradition we call him by his middle name. LOL.
Mine goes by James, if I called him Jim he would ignore me! LOL
I'm not sure how many comments I've made on this video, since I've watched it so many times, but this is so sweet and inspiring, watching it makes me positively giddy
Glad you enjoyed it so much!
I kept checking my notifications over and over to make sure I hadn't missed Part #3 of the Greenhouse and what a lovely surprise to get the final notification this morning!! I was so excited! I gasped seeing that beautiful door and when you opened the door and I saw the inside my eyes filled with tears to say I love it would be to simplistic. All the bits and pieces you saved over the years incorporated into one space just gave such a warmth to the space.
Jeri what talents you have such artistic abilities knowing how to put everything in its proper space bringing memories and dreams together in one peaceful yet functional place. Amazing ❤️
Putting all that salvage to work was the most fun of all!
I was gob-smacked the entire video! Amazing all the bits and pieces -so precious
Oh, what a lovely visit on such a chilly overcast day in Minnesota! Thank you for brightening up my day! I put up a temporary plastic pop-up greenhouse, and several neighbors of the Better Homes and Gardens variety had hysterics. I use it in the spring to get things started and to harden off young plants. I take it down when the Temps start behaving well. I'm sure that if I put up a permanent greenhouse, the compost would hit the fan!
Happy Holidays to you and your family and all the visitors who watch you on RUclips!🌨☃️❄️🫖🥧🎅🎄🖖🐈⬛☕️
i am glad our neighbors are Some distance away so they can't complain about silly things. Those pop ups are pretty handy. I used a small one in our bathroom for years.
Who wouldn't love to spend an afternoon puttering in your new greenhouse. Well done!
I admire your handiwork and know you will have much fun in your garden house.
Jeri Jeri Jeri ….. you have built a masterpiece! I’m so proud of you !! It’s gorgeous.
What I dream of owning someday . We rent , so it will be awhile , or maybe in Heaven . Things to look forward to !
My husband, daughter and I are all really sick with influenza. Our house is an infirmary.
It’s lovely to watch your videos as I lie here sick and achy .
Oh NO! I'm sorry for all of you, yuck on the flu!
What a great place to escape the daily and play in the soil! You should be so proud of yourself…I’ll bet Hunny certainly is! I have a 7x8 fiberglass one piece unit that I bought from my gardening friend that passed away. I LOVE going in there and just doing whatever. It’s my happy place and I sometimes just go in to dream. I live in the middle of the mitten here in Michigan so I have lots of time for dreaming. Nice to see the project at the end stages because it makes the whole build worth it. Sometimes I get into projects and start thinking “what was I thinking” but as we trudge along and see the end it then becomes “oh look at what I was dreaming”!!! You truly do inspire me with something from every vlog so worry not, your hard work gives me hard work but I just love watching you. Thanks for enlightening and entertaining me with ALL your vlog content and know I watch everything right down to imagining the fragrance of your cup of tea!!!:):):)
Thank you. I forgot about having tea in this video.... I needed my coffee!
My dear lady.....this sweet greenhouse brought tears to my eyes. I adore the wash stand. I just can't say enough good things. Everything is lovely. Wishing you much joy in your new space.
Love the greenhouse and really like the color green on the door. 😊
So beautiful! I love the eclectic, flea market look and the way you tied it all together with your simple yet gorgeous color palette. I'm looking forward to many hours of vicarious gardening enjoyment, here in your little greenhouse!
So glad to see this. I was getting concerned because it seemed like forever!
I'm so glad to see your beautiful home made greenhouse finally finished..and it looks as amazing as I expected.
You must be very proud that you built it yourself.. I love it ❤ xx
What a lovely space! You did a terrific job! Thank you for taking us along on the adventure and showing us what's possible 💗
I love your green house! What a wonderful job you did! I recently fixed a clock I had that also wouldn't keep running. I got on U-tube and found many sites where they suggested that cleaning the mechanism is a good place to start. Whereas a professional might totally dismantle the mechanism, I took off the face and removed the mechanism in one piece and soaked it in a part cleaning solution for a few hours. I followed the directions to clean areas (where the point of the parts that the gears are attached to come through the mechanism plate) with a soft toothbrush, Q-tip, toothpick, and soft cloth, let it dry, and then oiled with sewing machine oil or a special clock oil. The springs I then cleaned with a heavier weight oil. I reassembled my clock, gave the pendulum a gentle nudge, and off she went! I can't guarantee anything, but it was great fun learning the process anyway plus my clock is running again. I don't know what your clock interior looks like, but give google u-tube a try and I will continue to watch your channel to see what I can learn from YOU (I just bought some unprocessed wool and am learning how to clean and card and then to needle felt due to your inspiration)! Merry Christmas!!!
That's a good idea, (youtube has great value sometimes) These little clocks are very simple inside, the larger antique clocks may be more of a challenge.
Have fun with the felting!
Oh Jeri, I love every thing about this. each detail so perfect. I love how you put your special touches all over. What a beautiful job you have done.
Absolutely delightful. Beautiful.
This is so amazing. I have been watching your videos for years. Thank you so much.
Hello Jeri, my favorite person on you tube. I have collected 3 free antique hardwood doors from the sides of roads and bought matching vintage windows just $50, so I am going to try a greenhouse also. I will post pictures when I finish. Here’s to painted bunnies on the raised beds, copper birds I plan to make for the gate, and my garden workbench with all its vintage charm and collectibles. Merry Christmas friend.
3 free doors is quite a find!
So charming!! It fits the style of your farm and home perfectly..Your talent for repurposing salvaged material really shines in this darling structure! I hope you enjoy it for many years. Looking forward to seeing more as spring approaches 👏👏 🥰 🌷🌷
I’d be in there every day for my morning and afternoon coffees. Nice job!!
This is my final garden bedtime story. Glad I saved the best for last.
Simply adorable! such a lovely place! I'll always watch for activity going on here! Love it! Peggy
Absolutely love your green house.
So beautiful
Love just so beautiful great job we built me a greenhouse and I bricked my floor with old used brick I didn't want a floor like that but yours is perfect I love love everything you done. It's so fun to mske something out of old used things I know I just love mine. Love love yours God Bless!!!
Sounds good to me!
WOW! You just gave me the umph I needed. Thank you Jerry.
It turned out wonderful! You should be proud of yourself!
Stunning. Your talent amazes me every video. Thank you for sharing this with us. To know you did this alone by your own design, nothing better. God bless you and yours.
I am soooooo impressed with your whole project! It's amazing. Others spent thousands of dollars and your recycled, refurbished, utilized your ingenuity, and your abled body. Just funny and you got a very unique and special space. And it's ROOMY! I wasn't sure. Looked narrow. But wow. Just loved it. Thank you for covering the nuances of the project even if it took you time!
Thanks so much; It is pretty comfortable size wise. and fits just about every needful item for growing things.
Looks lovely.
Wonderful upload Thank you for sharing 💞
Oh Jeri. I knew It was gonna be great but it's better than great. It's almost magical. You are extremely talented. ❤💚❤💚
It looks wonderful. You did a wonderful job. Happy gardening 👩🌾
I am in love 🥰 with your green house I think I could live in there you decorated it so cute the wash stand came out so pretty I would put that in my house any day even the sink you cleaned it up so nice the stencils came out so pretty....looking forward to more videos...
So fun seeing what you have created…….thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas!
Your greenhouse is a work of art! So beautiful! Regarding your clocks...I understand most of the time just a good cleaning of the mechanism is all that's needed.
That would be easier than taking a clock repair course...
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Put a little drop of oil on all the moving points...works for my little Lux clocks.
BEAUTIFUL !! I'M SO IMPRESSED !! REALLY GOOD JOB !! AND A POTTING IS FUN !! ENJOY 😉😉
Thank you, Jeri, for inspiring all of us to add character somewhere in our home or outside. Rather than throwing away things like doors and such, I need to follow your example and hold on to things to reuse down the road. My next project (if the "Variance Permit" board allows me) is a pergola/carport for my old car. My home was built in 1950 and there were few carports in South Carolina. As I (and my car) get older, we need protection from the sun and ice. Hopefully, I will have it done before winter is over. I will be thinking of character to add to it too. Thank you for all your videos.
I hope it turns out beautifully!
Only you could think of putting those darling little clocks in your greenhouse. I just adore them and your garden room. Everything is just so inviting. I loved the idea of using the old sink for potting soils. Good thing many of us live far away, or come early Spring, you would have a line of volunteers at your beautiful colorful door.
Jeri, it is so beautiful! I love every inch of it!
That's my favorite space! You have all the right bits in all the right places! SO, SO much better than ANYTHING that is store bought!! My goodness gracious, I LOVE every bit of it!
Your green house 🏡 is very beautiful and it looks very cozy congratulations it turned out gorgeous 💚👏🏻
🌷 Tulip planting soon..
I am so happy for your accomplishment. The greenhouse is absolutely stunning.
Bravo Jeri! What a creative, charming and whimsical salvage. Far more lovely than any kit you could have purchased. I follow another RUclips gardener who purchased the most beautiful Hartley while her green house is fabulous this one is by far more my style.
I wonder if that would be Laura's Greenhouse... it's a splendid knockout! But I think I will be quite happy with my little One of a Kind building❤
Jeri!! Thank you for being Jeri!! Your videos do so much more than just instruct and inspire. They give us a friend who shares herself with us!!! You are coming to mean so much to me. What inspires me the most is they way you develop and delve into your garden desires. What a good example to me!!
I'm very delighted to be an inspiration to you, and a friend to all who enter into Hopalong Hollow. Thank YOU.
Amazing! So you! I love how you stenciled and decorated it. You are such a talented woman!
Awe, this greenhouse turned out so beautiful. You did a great job 🙂 I love it so much. The old washstand is just devine and the basin fits perfectly. The stenciling is so wonderful. I love stenciled furniture very much.
Blessings and huggs from Rose-Cottage, Schurwald Forest, Germany.
P.S. Looking forward to your x-mas videos with baking/cooking and maybe a tour of the decorated house? That would be so wonderful. 🙂
If I can muster up the energy to decorate just one room, I will be pleased.
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Mercy! I can relate to that one! Blessings on your efforts!
and your lovely felted critters! well done Jeri and Happy Christmas.
What an absolutely charming little greenhouse! I could live in there! LOL!
Exquisite!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
You did a wonderful job, a dream of a useful space come true. Clearly you've been saving some great finds for this project and it all works!
Hi Jeri, you are such an inspiration, I love how you repurpose architectural antiques and vintage pieces and turn them into beautiful useful things, talk about being green! I really enjoy watching all your artful creations, thank you for sharing them with us.
I've recently found a wonderful use for old bicycle tire spokes...stay tuned!
Delightful! I know you are going to be in there a LOT in the coming weeks and months, and it's going to be so wonderful for you to have such a practical and beautiful place to work. I absolutely adore your style. Now I'll be on the lookout for vintage ornamental shelving, corbels and brackets. I don't have a sink as lovely as yours, but I do have a couple of old stainless ones that I could use. I love the way you took your jig saw and your paint stencils and created beautiful shelves from regular 2x4s. Very inspirational; I can hardly wait to get started on my own greenhouse! Thank you again for sharing the whole process with us.
You will have a creative Blast!
Positively beautiful. By the way, I have many antique clocks that don't work either. So, don't feel bad:)
Love the potting shed. Inspiration to get off my butt and carry on doing my renovations. I love using reclaimed materials it's great fun. Take care and enjoy your new space =-)
So very cute. You’ve given me many ideas to cozy up my she shed we built this last autumn.
oh its beautiful!!!I check everyday for your post, And all you do!!!you are so talented.please keep posting!!!!!
Wow, Jeri I just love your green house! It is very charming. Also love your clocks. You are a very talented lady.
I am so happy to have found your channel! Thank you for the inspiration!!!
Welcome!
You are SO talented! Health to enjoy your wonderful greenhouse. It is truly magnificent.
It all just blew me away! Amazing! Charming, cozy, wonderfully eclectic. What a happy place!
I had that second little cockoo clock with the white bird when I was a child ....in the 50s!
Memories!
It looks stunning, you should be very happy with your results.
Oh Jeri you must be so proud of your greenhouse child!
I love the double wash sink housing your potting soil...so clever 💚🎄
That double wash sink has lived many different lives...... I think this one is permanent.
Very nice! My husband built me a green house 2 years ago and we received the windows for free, the only thing we paid for was roof plastic! It turned out really nice!
great!
Absolutely darling, would love to do something myself, you are amazing 💖💖
So glad to see a video from you. It’s like visiting a favorite friend. Love your darling greenhouse. I have a greenhouse and I always say it’s like a science experiment, you learn something new every day about growing in it. Ventilation is extremely important when growing seedlings as I found out. I’ll enjoy watching you grow with your greenhouse. Merry Christmas 🎄
I have a lot to learn. My previous experience is only in using the cold frame and Mini greenhouse.
Outstanding job!! what a place of beauty and charm to practice gardening pleasures. 👩🌾🐝🪴
You've been working hard, girl! Just so charming. I picture an antique bird cage hanging in the corner. Love it, love it, love it!
I have one!
I marvel at all your talents! Looking forward to your future podcasts!!!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful!! Great job!!
Well done! It is gorgeous as I knew it would be !
Jeri I just love your yard, potting shed, greenhouse ….everything you touch you make so awesome.
You make recycling so beautiful and purposeful.
Such a comforting and cozy place. I love the addition of the cuckoo clocks. Learning to repair them sounds like fun. The lighting, stenciling and colors are a lovely combination.
Excellent job on the greenhouse. I loved the tour!
Jeri you always surprise me. What a beautiful addition and fun space.
Such a magical space, you did an amazing job.
I have old windows for the purpose of building a greenhouse. You did a fantastic job!
I am jealous as much as inspired by this greenhouse. I've been seriously gardening for two years now, but it's a lifelong love I just hadn't had the opportunity to pursue until recently. This greenhouse is exactly what I dream to have some day! I love the colors, the lovely stencils, and I really really love your bits of antiques. Thank you for sharing all the details!
I love your aeasthestic: colorful, textural, cozy and of course, whimsical.
WOW! WOW! WOW! What a fantastic greenhouse! It's beautiful! What a fabulous job you've done. Truly functional, but truly a work of art too!
It looks amazing and so cozy. You did a wonderful job!
Oh, Jeri! This is even better than imagined! You did it again. What a magical place.
What a dream come true! So creative and full of history! Every bit of it a reminder of how good it is to just live in the moment and embrace the little serendipities of life. Congratulations!
I love serendipity!
Beautiful and whimsical...thank you for sharing
Oh it looks wonderful!!! But I knew it would!!!! I love all of you beautiful spaces that you have created. You will get so much enjoyment from this. I can tell you already have! I can’t wait to see more of it in the future!! I’m also glad I’m not the only one who is late on getting bulbs out! Lol!! Thanks so much for letting us all visit your magical greenhouse! ❤️🎄🪴👩🌾💐🌻
You must be very busy in your shop at this time, your bulbs will wait till after Christmas. I love your store so much; I will get up there one day!
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow I have been. I’m glad to know they can wait, because they have no choice 😁 I’d love for you to visit!!! I know we would have many things to talk about, because of all the interests we share! ❤️🎄❤️
This has been so nice to see. I love the colors you used and the stenciling great. Thank you so much I have really enjoyed it all.
It is so beautiful Jeri
You never fail to inspire me. I have some wonderful windows and corbels and yes they are easy to build. I love you're rabbits. So I've come up with my own design. Since it gets really cold here I'm using two feet of wood siding around the bottom and pergo decking boards on the ground. When winter comes along My Idea is to put bales of grass hay along the front and sides to keep it warmer. Then I plan to plant in the spring. I'll probably have to pull them out a bit to keep the siding dry. I can't wait until I can start. Well I'm not waiting I'm designing and collecting thing to put inside. Thank you for inspiring me so. God Bless.
One more thing, this might help someone too. If I can find them I'll be using the old fashion Christmas lights in green house as they will help keep it warm. A friend gave me this Idea.we have very cold springs here, she wraps the old fashion lights all around her orchard trees. She said she gets fruit every year.
💖 🎄Thank you for sharing this! It is so Amazing and it makes me happy to look att this video! 🙂 Here in Sweden it is cold now and we have snow outside. ❄❄ Wish you many good moments in your cosy greenhouse ! 🌷🌱🦚🌷🪴💖
I would like some Swedish snow right now; I could sit in here and watch the snowflakes softly hitting the glass panes.
