Love this seems like my story . I am using old windows I replaced at a rental also have an old door and painting a large sunflower . My greenhouse is 10x10 retirement gift from my husband.

It is lovely but I wouldn't have thought that you would need one to grow plants in the heat of Texas, here in the UK yes!
You don't really need one here to grow plants...it's just a fun "house" for the plants that I want to grow! But it does keep them protected in the winter which can freeze here.

Thank you for the tour! I Ave that issue. I just love your colorful home and yard so much. I don’t live far from Austin and am always trying to find plants to bring color to my builder-grade yard, just like I am trying to bring color to my new build home.

We used to live in a builder home too! The first thing I did was change the light fixtures and paint! There are great ways to personalize your space!

Why did you not go with a clear roof? To me this doesn’t come across as a greenhouse. More like a shed with a bunch of windows. If that stuff on the outside grows up anymore, it’s gonna cover up what little light you do get.
Good question! It would absolutely burn up my plants if I did. I'm in central Texas, so the windows give plenty of light for the plants, but a clear roof would kill everything.
I'm in Florida and a clear roof is not a good idea. It's all about location.
