Lyrics:
Oom dada, dada, oom dada, dada
If you don't like the streets
Then that's all you have to say to me
If you don't like the coffee shops
Saying, the people aren't as nice
Well, let's get out of here
'Cause you've never said to me
Your soul can't breathe
We'll live where we just smile most, yeah
No matter how far
We'll find our nest of peace
'Cause we can live anywhere
Yes we can live anywhere
Pack your things up c'mon let's go
Didn't you know we own this world?
Yeah we can live anywhere
You're much happier when you sing
About how much you dig everything
We'll live where we just joke the most yeah
Too far? No way man
We'll find that nest of peace
Would you like to go today, London ain't too far away
Would you like to go today, Paris ain't too far away
Would you like to go today, for you nothing's too far away

This album is a masterpiece
This song makes me cry. From gypsy hill to fluent in stroll I'll always love david
I remember when I met Big D at warped... Nicest and most down to Earth people I've ever met. Rock on Dave!
Need not fret, Big D lovers of yester-year! They plan to return to their ska and punk roots on their upcoming album due out this Fall.
This could be one of the most romantic songs ever.
you can never go wrong with a song that has the doped up dollies in it
on my bucket to see Big D & The Doped Up Dollies together!
I think its pretty bad people come onto these youtube videos to argue. Instead of coming on here and everyone socializing about something that creates a little solidarity, people have to argue about trivial things. This song is awesome and I hope to have to have a relationship like that one day.
Two months ago, my wife and I sold our cars, quit our jobs and moved to Amsterdam from the states. This was kind of our theme.
Pack your bags up, c'mon let's go, didn't you know that we own this world.
God I could listen to that sax intro all day...
This is such a nice song.
The first 40 seconds were awesome.
Man, long time fan of Big D. This is questionable but would not stop me from seeing them again.
their new album ROCKS!!!!!! got it at the warped tour...where they rocked even more!
I don't understand why people hate, I think Fluent in Stroll is just as good as any other Big D album :)
I want a life like that.
Stroll Music!
This song reminds me of when I used to be happy.
They never disappoint..
My pleasure, buddy!1
we can live anywhere!
Beautiful song!
Wow look at how different he looks in this video compared to what he looked like in shining on. He completely grew up.
these guys are so awesome got a chance to see them last summer and would go again in a heart beat
smoked so much weed in that park when i lived up there, great times
this song is kinda like the update from shining on, because its just a feel good song that says you can be happy no matter what kinda crap has gone on :)
Two of the back up singers are from Tip The Van! thats awesome haha
This song is so chill, especially the guitar. It makes you want to relax B-)
i like when a song and a video go so well together, that and when the video gives a little story on its own...
Great Music!
I don't know why anyone would go around trying to call Big D sellouts. The music they put out is in it's own league. I know they've experimented with different styles, but, at least in my opinion, that just defines them even more as a band. And before anyone goes around labeling a band of this caliber as "sellouts" I think you should reflect a little and see if you aren't the one selling out to a shit job and getting caught up in life. And by the way, amazingly wonderful song.
Corey Doctorow just posted this video to BoingBoing. Remind me to thank him for doing so the next time I bump into him. This is awesome and I'm looking forward to hearing more or your music.
Good stuff!!!
Love all your songs!!!!!
Well said- "Not F#cking Around" video is in post production as we speak.
Super Ace..!
my daughter is their biggest fan she never misses them every time they come to Exeter UK,she is hoping to go to Boston soon but will they be there?
yeeeeeya big D!
When she opens the map up and mouths words, I'm almost certain she says, "But It's not a kitchen"
what a great video
found this by accident.. i love this
Gotta love that product placement.
BIG D! and the kids table.....love it!
i like this song, i am a huge fan of Big D all the way from their oldest to their newest stuff! its nice when a band can switch up their style and still play amazing music! so dont hate, their older stuff is amazing too and their newest cd hits more close to home as far as that goes, but fluent in stroll is an amazing
!
You have to realize these guys are in their 30's now so they are not the same teenage punks that wrote Shot By Lammi... songs like this and Shine On are complex and amazing! and for the sake of the guys I hope a comerical or movie picks the song up and they actually get PAID for putting out great music for the past 13 years!
So that means they are in their 40’s now?
Jesus guys, this song is not about having the money to go anywhere. it's about being able to go anywhere with the person you love and being able to be happy, regardless of the circumstances. For fuck's sake.
I just love their diversity, they can sing anything.. such a cool voice. I can't wait to see them in Saskatoon, SK! Thanks for coming to Canada guys.
Plot twist: The dart lands in the ocean and they drown themselves.
Nice video for a good song
very cool
I didn't realize how much older these guys were, the last I heard of them was "Shining On", and you could tell they were starting to head in this direction. I don't think it's better or worse than any of their older stuff, its just different, and I don't know why everyone is hating on them, they're just doing what they love!
I think the video is really cool and I'd love to be able to something like this one day!
I wish I had a guy like David McWane.
yes it is somewhat hard to believe that the same band that produced songs like L.A.X made this but thats what makes big d awesome. theyre great no matter what they do
I have no idea why anyone would comment on this saying it was'nt a good song. I find it beautiful in my own opinion, I mean dont get me wrong I love their old stuff but I love this just as much if not more.
This video is amazing. Big D has changed so much, but fuck are they ever good still
No one owns this world.
Agreed. It's a lovely, lonely sax!
This is perfect timing for me to hear this song (really love BIG D for this tune) Because shit.. I'm apprehensive about leaving my hometown, my girlfriend wants to go somewhere else... but, ultimately, I'll follow her anywhere. Thanks for saying the words I've been too chickenshit to say!
still together?
Everything work out?
Where did you end up?
What happened?
@@punkwrestle homie ded imo
WOW! This Song matches great with the video. Great job with it.
Impressive.
I fucking love this band!
I like how she's one of the Dollies now. I really dig the current trio
i saw them at warped tour last year & they were really good.
Beautiful song, beautiful video. A+ kids!
Great video! Fluent in Stroll was my favorite album of 2009. Looking forward to catching you on tour in Charlottesville on the 24th.
when a artest can make fans get in a debate saying "they are rock, oh wait no there ska oh wait there this no there that" it shows they have true talent for having a large range of genre ;D
its so funny listening to LAX then this. it goes from like 15 F bombs to happiness...i love it!
Simply beautiful! Thx :)
Amazing video. Gave me all kinds of happy feelings. Great video, yet again. Plus you gotta love the sax sound in this song.
love it!
Is anyone else bothered that they're throwing darts against a map hung on a brick wall?
+James Allen
I think he's just tricking her with the illusion of choice. Some people will just believe any crap you tell them
It's actually on a cork board.. I know because I threw the dart. ;)
+Brianne Finn
Cool, just out of curiosity do you know the band pretty well or did they just get you for the video?
😂😂😂
Hope Dave gets better!
Great song and video. I really liked this one a lot.
Aw is Sean in this video?
This is one of my favorite videos they've put out. And they're still rockin'! Screw all you haters and negativity - keep it to yourself. Let people who appreciate the band enjoy this video.
adorable
gonna listen to the interview, thank you for the recommendation! And I pretty much agree with everything you're saying right
I for one really like how you can watch them mature and there music style gets... classy :] it makes them diverse, why complain about there new stuff, when you've got tons of old classics from them?? I love Bid D, hands down best ska band In my book :D
wow Big D has dialed down alot huh?
Dude had throat cancer
so beautiful :(( :)
ily KAL
that was cute!
I loved it.
get the new album man, it's all like that. Fluent in Stroll was just a shot at something different
COME TO MEXICO CITY PLEASE!!!
I like the old stuff like How It Goes or Strictly Rude. But you gotta admit, that this album is pretty awesome. I mean, if you just want to calm down after a hard day, just put this CD in your player, get a beer and enjoy the music.
He totally takes the boyfriend of the year award.
my sideburns grew in just from watching this
really like the video, love the song ofcourse :D
Sorry to keep an old argument going, but no song is a full representation of an artist(s) life. LAX was when David was young and pissed off at a group of people who treated him very rudely and made him feel outcasted (there's an interview on Spotify that's worth a listen about it.) He's matured in this song and he can now enjoy time with someone he loves rather than scream about people he didn't like some odd 10 or so years ago. People grow up and this song reflects it.
@1Lozzix1 chill out man, how can you think that about such a chill song
@coolbreeze101b Like someone else said, they aren't the 20 yr old punks they used to be. Sadly, we have to mature at some point, but it doesn't mean you have to change who you are, and I think Big D has done a great job staying with their roots, not in sound, but that love of playing meaningful music
Yuppified
Do they still do their old stuff in shows?
reminds me of lou reed - walk on the wild side
@ducktapemagic Hey man!!! I represent NJ...don't be ill on the greatest F'in state in th nation. Just remember, I'm from NJ, it automatically makes me better then everyone else.
shit dude, you cooked her pasta? that's crazy romantic, man
Fluent In Stroll, from 2009.
they got fucking laaaaaaaaaaaaaame!!!!!!
now its just love songs like everyone else
i miss Big D when they used to sing about being broke.
@TheMilksMan I could not agree with you more. I wish they kept up the actual fast ska movement.
