People who knock this are just anally retentive perfectionists! This unit is amazing value for money! It ticks a lot of boxes and is definitely a quality bit of kit!
Numark knows its customers... this is for people that wanna practice in their bedroom... then dj at a party when the opportunity arises. I have the platinum fx and love it. If I see the mix stream used for a good price I'd buy one just for the streaming capabilities.. but the platinum fx meets my needs. I have done a few sets at a club in Thailand and everyone in the crowd though I was a legit pro dj... honestly I didn't do anything I couldn't have done on the tiny little dj2go2..
Finally received my mixstream and with the engine firmware updates we'll impressed however does this unit have needle search whilst the tracks playing struggling to find it or turn it on
so i need the soundswitch software to control my dj lights with a dmx/usb cable from my mixstream to my lights? is there any way around that? can i hookup my lights straight to the mixstream via dmx/usb cable? i have like 6 lights, would i be able to control them ?
Impresses by the features and the price but the looks and feels is too plastic for my taste but still I would buy it if I would start! I am a bit jealous for the beginners to having such cool equipment nowadays… lol 😂 Really great Numark and again, you nailed it with this! If somebody asks me what to buy as a beginner I will guide them to this!
They have no idea of the struggle back in the days. The best vinyl costs $20-$35 and it was backordered weeks and limited supply. No effecting or looping etc back then. The fact you had to buy turntables mixer vinyl speakers needles etc etc all seperate and one is looking at easily a few grand or more to get started with limited vinyl as your personal music catalogue.A few grand just to get started back then was not steep but no chunk change either for the average Joe.
As this controller is primarily standalone, it doesn't have a sampler (that's more software based). But now that it is compatible with Virtual DJ, you may be able to MIDI map a sampler!
Great all in one system for beginers and small parties for even pro ones... nice unit... but one question can we change to vertical view like on prime series? Nice video as usual thxx
Hey djkit guys, dunno if its just me, but even in 1080p your camera quality still only looks mediocre, especially the front/main one! I don't have this issue with other channels (digitaldjtips, djcity, crossfader...) so maybe you can give it a closer inspection? Low light conditions maybe? Anyway, love you guys, especially Ratzi, always so enthusiastic and happy :D
Hey Solaris, thank you for this comment! We're working hard to improve the quality of our videos, the front cam needs updating ideally, and also The Ratcave is having a facelift soon, so things will be of a higher standard from thereout!
Ciao,i have a little problem, after connect Mixstream pro to PC, sound at pc is disable ( only for youtube/chrome or another player). solution ? please
Own it. Love it. But it needs to be iOS compatible. I am also pleasantly surprised with how loud the onboard speakers are. Loud enough to piss off my wife upstairs trying to hear the TV. 😂
i know this is standalone 100%, but one Matt was about to touch on the other USB port (marked PC) but didn't in the end. What is that for? I assume this will work with software 'eventually' but does it do anything else? (I assume firmware updates if outside of wifi). Theres no mention of that port in the product manual either. although I suspect plugging it into a PC will reveal it is infact a HID controller as well. Has anyone tried?
How do all the people reviewing this controller all of the sudden have the same lights? No one in the history of no one is using those lights at a gig. Test the lighting feature with some real world dj lights please!
I'm sorry, but I compelled to keep this real. I can appreciate that, generally speaking, all of the reviewers online right now are going goo goo, ga ga over Numark's new Mixstream Pro. It definitely has some very slick features as well as somewhat groundbreaking hardware technology. However, especially at the price point, it seems to have a number of disappointing limitations to it as well (e.g, a whoppin' 4 performance pad buttons? Tiny ass pitch-fader?) I really think that Numark could have really hit the ball out of the park had they stepped up the hardware design just a tad bit more.
No brand will ever make the "perfect" product. They wil always leave something out for the next model up. They wont shoot themselves in the foot and take sales away from Denon or the next Mixstream product. Look at the Pioneer XDJ-RR, that only has 4 hot cues, a 5 inch screen and mostly the same features just better build, but its more than double the price. Reviewers and retailers are excited about this because its a lot of product for the money.
At the price point of this Mixstream Pro, you are getting SO MANY great features! Numark are the more 'stripped back' brand of InMusic. If you want more, you have to look at Denon, who InMusic also own as well!

It is such great value for the price point!
The ability for this device to also read rekordbox , serato , traktor and engine usbs is rather cool
I can use virtual dj?
In music knows what they are doing. Big umbrella
It's a game changer...but might not become apparent for a couple of years yet...excellent piece of kit...
Great fugin peace! ❤
Definitely buying this .wow.
Such great value for money!

I think it's hold shift and press roll. I don't think it was in the software at the time
Great system only thing. How do you use the sampler ? I have not found a way to do it just using the standalone system.
I have just ordered one of these and just wondered if you can record your own mixes if so we’re does it record ? Tia
I should be getting mine next week...had thier been an update on fx? Like the flanger speed?
Mine arrived two days ago
Nice, how are you finding it?

i have one and i love it
Amazing! What's your favourite feature Richard?
Can streamed music, tidal for example, come in with BPM or Key already loaded before you download to a deck?
Did you figure this one out?
And does it have already hot cues ? Does anybody know ?
@@nikoslevo6764 - yes it has hot cues.

Yeah I agree, but what a great time to start DJing!
At the price point deffo would get this over an flx6
There is so much going on with the Mixstream for the price point!
How big of a SD/micro-SD card or Flash Drive can it read? Can it read an external hard drive?
yes it can read a external hard drive
How do I do full kill on the EQ ? When I lower them to the minimum there's still sound coming
Me too someone please show how or any details please
Any solution for this?
How do you add sample sounds.. such as horns, sirens, etc??
As this controller is primarily standalone, it doesn't have a sampler (that's more software based). But now that it is compatible with Virtual DJ, you may be able to MIDI map a sampler!
Great all in one system for beginers and small parties for even pro ones... nice unit... but one question can we change to vertical view like on prime series? Nice video as usual thxx
i can say yes based on the official video
Yes, you can! Click shift and view, just like on the Primes!
Yes
Press the shift +view
Do you know if my dmx 2.0 be used instead of the sound switch dongle?
Wonder if a rmx 1000 can be plugged into the unit.
No it can't. The RMX-1000 requires Send and Return ports which the Mixstream doesn't have!
Will this run the new 2.01 Engine OS?
Absolutely yes, it's the exact same OS as the Denon Prime series.
I would like the speaker over the outputs at back and screen can miror computer via USB
The screen mirroring a laptop could be implemented in a future update! have you suggested it on the Numark forums?
Is the USB compatible with MP3 and Apple Music ?
Really interesting this 👌
Glad you enjoyed it! It's a great unit for the price!
Hi, how is bpm syncing? Any problem with software?
Seems fine to us. There was a few hiccups in version 2.0, but Engine have already released 2.0.1 to fix them!

New numark MIXSTREAM pro means i have to buy new license too
A license for what?
Ciao,i have a little problem, after connect Mixstream pro to PC, sound at pc is disable ( only for youtube/chrome or another player). solution ? please
The Mixstream Pro is for standalone use, it will only work with Virtual DJ when you connect it to a PC.
Own it. Love it. But it needs to be iOS compatible. I am also pleasantly surprised with how loud the onboard speakers are. Loud enough to piss off my wife upstairs trying to hear the TV. 😂
That was funny.....I just bout this unit last week because I wanted something new and was surprised it was on sale for $500. I'm lovin it.

its for updating firmware using a laptop computer
Does the usb is compatible whit MP3 music and Apple Music?
What size is the internal hard drive?
no internal HD - you use SD card or USB sticks
It doesn't have an internal hard drive!
Oh, ok. Thank you. So, not like the prime 4 then
end less
Shame about small pitch faders, long ones were all featured on all numark series....
Yea, that is a shame! But they had to make room for those built in speakers!
Where is the sampler?????
Lol. Word.
Still in the 80's! Seriously though, no DJ that this is aimed at will know what to do with a sampler.
The more people who ask for it, the more likely it is to be implemented!
How do all the people reviewing this controller all of the sudden have the same lights? No one in the history of no one is using those lights at a gig. Test the lighting feature with some real world dj lights please!
We run it with a pair of American DJ Mega TriPAR Profile Plus at 15:44. 😎
firstie..
Congrats! Don't forget to sub!
